Staff were great, shout out to Erica🙏👏 and accommodation really clean, beer and wine prices super reasonable. It’s really rural location set on top of a hill with a 360 view which was fab. My son and I were at the F1 track to watch some racing - it’s 1hr 10 mins away but the country side and seeing the old side of Portugal was very interesting.

There are extending the place, so a bit still to do but total respect for the guys really building a fabulous place. We left glad to have stayed and hopefully have helped them continue with the journey to build a great business.

Exceptional place to stay. Great staff, amazing facilities. Few steps to the pool from the room. Rooms very clean, light and modern. This was already our second time staying there and if we will be back in Portugal, we will be coming back. It was the first time for us traveling with a little baby and the proximity of the pool to the room was excellent. Also wifi is amazing and works all over the property (definitely great for remote workers- also a common area with a desk and sofa is available)

The only thing to be prepared for is that you need to take your own food (dinner, snacks, drinks) - and the only thing available in the evenings is a microwave and a toaster. There is a tiny fridge without a freezer in the rooms. Definitely manageable just be prepared and don’t let this deter you from staying in this AMAZING property.

The rooms were lovely & decoration was pleasing. The views were great & the pool was nice. The staff were very helpful too.

I wish there had been a tea making facility in the room as breakfast didn’t start till 9. I am British though! Wish there had been hooks behind the bathroom door. There was a lot of children at one point & for me as my kids are now grown up I missed the quiet.

The property is beautiful, the bedroom, apart from the bed (below) is very nice. Nice pool chairs and shade and the pool is great as well. They allow people to bring their dogs (We don't have one, but think that's very nice). Hiking and cycling around the property is available, which is nice, specially if you are staying more than one night.

Bed was not particularly comfortable for us, but that's very subjective, depending on what type of bed you are used to sleep on. Radio always on is a bit of a turn off, given that when you go to a place like this you want to enjoy the piece and quiet. Then, not necessarily bad, but definitely something to improve: - Given how remote it is, there should be a better food choice. - Times regarding when meals are served need to be adjusted so that when it says until 21:00 is actually up to 21:00 and not around 20:00.

What a gem! If you are happy finding a treasure off the beaten path, this is the Place to go. In the middle of nowhere, surrounded only by a stunning view, and the sound of the bells of sheep, you are welcomed by Raffael. The rooms are like small houses, small but sufficiant and very well decorated. The breakfast outside with local specialities and everything else you would need is delicious. Swimming in the infinity pool into the Sunset was magical.

Not a lot of possibilities for hanging the towels.

If you want a relaxing rural stay in a place which is well equipped and with attentive owners this will definitely suit you. Despite the extreme heat this year our stay here was truly relaxing. There have been critical comments about the road in but they aren’t justified. It is a gravel road but in good condition. You should, however, be aware that this is a rural retreat. Go with that in mind and you will not be disappointed

I wasn't aware they served dinner so I just ate a snack in my room. They could inform guests on arrival of meal options. Access road to the hotel is unpaved in the last few km. If you are pulling a trailer, I would advise going elsewhere.

Its a surprise in the middle of nowhere, beautiful infinity pool, gorgeous room and location is so quite.

It doesn’t have a restaurant, which would be a recommendation since the place is a beautiful and quite place. And the road to the hotel is kinda offroad, so becarefull when you have a low car.

Monte do Alento is pure magic – peaceful, authentic, and beautifully designed. Every corner breathes comfort and charm. The silence, the sunsets, and the hospitality are unforgettable. A true escape from the world.
