Everything and everyone was wonderful- genuine good people running the venue, care and attention to detail is shown in all aspects from the bag of spare bathers for impromptu swims, to the guest robes and slippers in the rooms, and the breakfast spread. The pool was great, perhaps our favourite way to spend a lazy sunny day. Pet-friendly, family-friendly but also fauna-friendly with bunnies playing across the lawn and many birds about. The unique history of the property was great to learn about, and the charm of the well-maintained period house was fantastic, historic but homely.

There was nothing to not like.

Old world bed and breakfast in a lovely historic house set on expansive gardens. Private room with comfy bed and arm chairs, direct access to verandah and terrific spa with view to garden. Loved the opportunity to take a dip in the saltwater pool - cool but not too cold 😊. And all at an excellent price.

Some of the crockery felt a little less than sparkling clean and overall the property could do with a bit of a refresh but we also appreciated that at such an affordable pricepoint it was still very comfortable and full of old world charm. The guest breakfast area was cosy but a little cramped with the small self-service set up. A rethink of how to use immediately adjacent rooms for dining would alleviate this.

Loved it! Full of charm, attention to detail spot on. lovely old heritage house, room very nice and warm in our winter stay, bed SO comfy, great facilities, fab location, bit of a peaceful tranquil oasis in usually busy Berwick, dog friendly, great grounds and gardens to walk in, very tidy and clean, staff/owners was welcoming and accomodating. Recommended to friends. Travelled from SA. Will def stay again if avail on next stay.

The reception was awesome so friendly. The apartment was immaculate the bed so so comfortable great pillows. With electric blankets. The whole house is centrally heated with lovely rooms to sit in and read our just rest. The breakfast is the best with lovely views over the garden coming back again thanks. It is so pet friendly with my own door too go out for nightly you know without disturbing other guests.. the grounds are devine.

What a perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city! We stayed just one night but are already thinking of coming back - it's a little slice of heaven, peaceful and quiet but also very homey. We enjoyed a superbly relaxing summer day on the sunbeds by the pool and had dinner in one of the restaurants down the road in Berwick. Lisa was a fantastic host, it really felt more like visiting friends or family than anything else. Thank you again and all the best!

when we arrived at a accommodation. message sent confusing. our name not on list. Cut a long story short, owner mixed up message and our name was not on list. if correct name had been on there would have been ok. however owner wanted to charge us extra $20 as she said we took wrong room. then accuse d us of booking cheapest room. when 3 rooms were the right price. not very professional at all. Also claims central heating through home. no heating in lounge.

The hosts were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The whole stay felt like travelling back in time by 150 years and staying in a Victorian era mansion. Both the rooms and the common places were magnificently furnished and decorated. The spa room comes with a private jacuzzi. It is lovely to stroll in the beautiful garden but unfortunately, it was a bit cold for the inviting outdoor pool. We would definitely stay here again if we visit the greater Melbourne area.

There were only minor inconveniences. Continental breakfast meant limited choices. Heating was only possible by air conditioning making it louder than radiators but we understood this was due to the mansion having been built with fireplaces. Some furniture had obvious signs of wear.

Burnbank is a beautiful getaway with a rich history. We enjoyed being surrounded by nature and the history of the house. Check-in was very easy and straight forward. Barb was on the ball as soon as we pulled up to house through the driveway. The beds weren't too bad, we were only looking for somewhere to lay and wash. After reading the history of the house (there's a little folder), I was able to properly appreciate the house and its history. The breakfast buffet was self-serve in the dining room, which was absolutely beautiful. The floor to roof windows are definitely something I'd come back for.

This booking was for my daughter and her partner. They both loved the old world charm and hospitality. The room was beautifully appointed and the gardens lovely to walk though and for her to use her new SLR camera to capture the floral blooms. Overall, she said should could not have asked for a better place for her to stay - like I read her mind to get everything she would want.

Nothing - My daughter said it was PERFECT. I am travelling to Melbourne again in March and she raved so much about it that we have chosen to stay here at this quaint B&B instead of with family who are 1km away!!

Nice stay in a comfy house. We enjoyed exploring the gardens and the parrots were fun. The room was a decent size and we appreciated the electric blankets as it was colder than expected. Lovely shower and bathroom. Nice breakfast on first day. Additional kettle and toaster in room which was handy. Area was nice. Lovely Botanical garden in Berwick.

Couple of little niggles. Great breakfast on first day but on second we had a lie in so nothing really left. Croissants already scoffed and nice coffee gone. No top ups We had issue with the front window as it was impossible to lock. Ended up putting passports in the car as it was safer. We didn't see the owners until the last day.
