A good location, very close to a tram stop for easy access from the JR station. Excellent walking distance from the castle. Breakfast was a good spread that we really enjoyed, though it got a bit repetitive after a few days. Even though there were only two washing machines in the laundry area, we managed to wash without waiting and it was good to have the opportunity on this long trip. Very close to the main bus station as well which is awesome when we did day trips out.

The hair dryer wasn't working properly although we were quickly given a new one when we told the front desk. There were brownish streaks in the toilet bowl from before we came and those didn't seem to be able to be washed away.

That’s the best hotel I’ve stayed over my 3 week tour of Japan. The room was spacious for 1 person, the furniture and decoration modern and fresh, very big bathroom with a shower in the ceiling and a bath. The bed was comfortable. Business travelers will find a comfortable work chair. A multicharger for all sorts of devices is provided. A very wide breakfast spread with local specialities. Yet what I was impressed the most is the staff. The receptionist speak good English. I asked to print out the bus ticket but accidentally left it on the reception desk when checking out in a hurry. The girl from the reception ran after me for maybe 100 meters across the street to bring me the ticket. That level of customer-centric attitude was just amazing.

Coffee at breakfast could be better There’s no onsen but I didn’t miss it.

Great location. Tram stop outside which goes to station. The magnificent Castle is very close. Nice shopping complex over the road with everything you need and walking distance into the city arcades. Parking available in nearby parking place. Rooms were good. Staff very helpful

Like most Japanese hotels they only give you one pillow but asked for more and this was provided.

I chose this hotel for its location, being so near to Kumamoto Castle, and shopping and restaurants. We were pleasantly surprised to find it with easy access overhead and shopping close by. The hotel is modern and clean, with friendly English speaking staff who were very helpful. The morning breakfast was great, with a view of the busy street below.

Conveniently located at the shopping district with lots of eateries around the hotel. The tram is just outside the hotel. Kumamoto Castle is just a 5min walk away. Ice machine, microwave oven and coin laundry available for guests use were a plus point. Bath and shower were great too.

The room is small. Bed is tucked to the wall. Minimal space to move about or for luggage.

The location is central to everywhere. There is even wagyu beef for breakfast. The restroom size is big with separate shower and tub. The complimentary drip coffee is good!

The water stain is obvious and mold needed to clean in the shower space. When sitting on the toilet, unfortunately it is easy to see the stains from that angle.

The shower and bed (queen size) were great! All light switches could also be controlled from the bed; this was convenient. New unopened water bottles were left everyday. There was also a washing machine in the building; this was convenient but took hours to wash and dry. Great location.

The walking space in the room was extremely limited; my husband and I couldn't stand in any space together.

1. Breakfast was nice, and all staff were very kind. 2. Kumamoto castle, Kumamoto city hall, the "shotengai" area (restaurant & stores etc.), Sakura-machi shopping mall & bus terminal are all within easy walking distance.

The bed was a bit too soft for me.

Staff: Friendly and Promptly for assistance. Location: Great. Near walking street that is great place for shopping. Many restaurants to choose from. Near large shopping mall. Tram station is just in front of the hotel.

The room is very clean and new. The room size is quite big in Japan even we bring the big luggage but still have some space. The location is walkable to shopping street.

The car park where hotel had a deal is quite far for walk along with big luggage. But if you early check out, you can find a lot of car park near by that the price is higher.
