Good location for shoppers! Machi Naka (similar to most popular shopping places such as Sunroad, Kamitori, Shimotori) is nearby, and there’re many clothes stores, pharmacy stores and restaurants in walking distance. Even in rainy days, it’s comfortable to go shopping under arcade shopping areas. It takes 5-10 minutes walking to Sakura Machi Bus Terminal, affordable prices with confortable room and great location!

Even though there’s a window, for safety concern, I don’t open window and curtains. So, there’s no view and natural light coming in my lower-floor-room.

Modern hotel, seems like new. Bed mattress and linen super soft and comfortable. Baths was possible thanks to a small bathing unit in the bathroom. Staff very friendly too and had good English, recommended local convince stores that could forward my luggage. 15 minute walk away from Matsumoto Castle. Large HD TV in room.

Room was small even more me as a solo traveller with a large suitcase (was difficult to get it round to the bed to get to the two chairs on the otherside without lifting the case onto the bed to do so). Cleaning was good although the sides of the carpet were missed out from hoovering oin entrance way into room, very very minor point however. Staff recommended places for luggage forwarding although they couldn't do this from the hotel directly without it being paid for in advance. Quite far to walk from main station (shinkansen) to get to the hotel, pretty walk along the riverside although the busy main road is beside you too. Took me about 35-40 minutes with luggage to make this journey.

The staffs are friendly and helpful. It was raining so I opted for early check in for a small fee. They have a translator tool for non Japanese speakers. It is easily accessible either via tram or bus from Kumamoto Station, preferably bus to Sakuramachi Bus Terminal, and can just walk underground to the hotel with escalator if you're having heavy luggage because carrying luggage up tram is really difficult with the high steps and limited space especially when it's raining. There's a lot of food choices, entertainment and convenience stores nearby, quite comfy.

The room I stayed in is at the corner and quite close to another room which is fine but I can hear the door opening and knocking of the neighbors and it's hard to differentiate whether it's knocking mine or their door, so it's quite unsettling at the start since I'm travelling solo. The air conditioner gives off a moldy smell at the start (I think could be because of the rain?) but after that seems alright so I didn't feedback.

Excellent, convenient location! Right next to the main shopping street in a vibrant part of Kumamoto! Near to many many eateries. Rooms are well equipped, well-furnished, spacious. Hotel provides little amenities like bath powders, facial masks, etc, available from the lobby area. Rooms are non-smoking, but the hotel has a smoking room on the ground floor, which is really great! Good Japanese breakfast spread, easy check in/out. Staff are friendly and helpful. Hotel has a luggage nanny service to hold your luggage’s if you arrive at the hotel too early.

Had an amazing stay here, this was the best hotel room I've stayed in throughout my trip in Japan and it has raised my standards for future accommodations. Room and bathroom are spacious, clean, large comfortable bed and enough space for suitcase. Hotel lobby always smelled good and the breakfast was generous, with plenty of options to choose from. Location is an easy flat walk from Sakuramachi bus terminal and they kept my suitcase before checkin time.

Nothing, I think the stay was excellent and I'm sad I can't always stay in this hotel.

Location was great, walkable to most places we wanted to go so we did not use our car while in Kumamoto. Easy to get parking, even though the parking opposite the hotel was not a discounted parking lot (not 1 of the 3 suggested by the hotel), we parked there anyway out of sheer convenience. Property was very clean, check in and check out was super efficient as it was all automated and self-service. The room was large (we paid for a bigger room) and we were able to move around with ease.

Excellent location. Map does not do the location justice. Hotel is very close to covered street mall.( literally out the door, to the right) Shopping, coffee shops drug stores, fresh fruits & more. Few minutes Walking to Kumamoto Castle & Sakura Machi shopping plaza. Perfect for families. Highly recommended!

Possibly should have gotten a larger room. 3 adults and 2 toddlers. Most of the time was spent sightseeing so room size worked .

Brilliant location right in the heart of Kumamoto. Large size clean room with very comfortable beds. Loved the great bathroom accessories especially the face masks and hair ties (much more that any other hotel offered)

Unfortunately I could not eat the breakfast because it was unable to be gluten free, however my friend ate breakfast on the first day. It was not great so that was the only day she ate in the hotel.

Check-in: via the self-check in counter (3 -4 counters opened), which also dispenses breakfast coupons. The counter had language selections (english, chinese etc.) and you can pay by card. There is a staff available if you have questions. Room: stayed on the 11 th floor, highest floor for the building. Towels and toiletries are provided. But rest of the amenities (coffee tea, shower cap, razor etc.) can be collected next to the front desk for no charge. This is great as it reduces waste. Room was 22 m2 which is very spacious for the two of us. We could lay out our 2 medium-sized luggage (25-27 inches each) and have ample walking space. The bed is large and comfortable, TV is large, toilet is well-equipped, table and 2 chairs, fridge are provided. The view from the room was great. Location: great location, area was not sketchy. It was just next to the shopping district (local shopping area and a mall Sakuramachi about a 10-15 mins was away) hence there were MANY food options, including a convenience store below the hotel. The nearest tram station is Karashimacho (red line) which links directly to Kumamoto ekimae station. Breakfast: very good spread of largely local Kumamoto food (including Tapi'en noodle soup, lotus root stuffed with mustard etc.). Breakfast is about $13, very worth it. Coffee/ Tea can be packaged to to-go at no extra cost after your meal.

Room: there were 2 pillows provided upon check-in. One was harder, the other softer. Go for the sturdier pillow, it is more comfortable. We had to call the front desk at 9 pm to request for a harder pillow.
