Everything! Brian was exceedingly hospitable - snacks, tea and coffee set up to enjoy all the time, complimentary sherry in the evening. I arrived before check-in time and he let me stash my bag while I explored Sidney. Very comfy bed and room with all the amenities. Nice soaker tub at the end of a hectic day. Delicious breakfast. Just a beautiful place to stay.

Not the fault of the Beacon Inn, but the taxi service could not guarantee an early morning reservation. It all worked out, but a more certain taxi or shuttle would be helpful.

The breakfast was just right. The fresh orange juice was a nice touch. The fresh made muffins were delicious. It was so nice to have the coffee maker in the room as my partner loves his coffee.

Everything was wonderful. From the moment you arrive to the hotel and walk through the door you know it's an experience you can not forget. The amazing desk personnel makes you feel comfortable and welcome and takes the time to explain everything you need to know about your stay. The suite was very nice and clean.

The location suited us very well as it was close to everything in Sidney and we wanted to visit the Butchart Gardens. The room was a good size and the bed was comfortable. The bath was lovely and the shower had plenty of hot water. The breakfast provided was plentiful though there was no choice. The staff were friendly and helpful. The on-site parking was very handy and it was close to shops and restaurants. We would very happily stay there again.

The room was quite dark as there is no central light and though I don’t want bright light all the time it can be frustrating To hunt around in the suitcase in poor light. The only power outlet near the bed was actually behind the bed so tricky to find. The breakfast was very nice but unfortunately there was no milk for the cereal on the last day and no one at reception until well after 9am.

This is a quaint, Victorian Inn. It's a very comfortable place to stay. The room was clean, beautifully decorated and offered a spacious bathroom, cozy sitting area and comfortable bed. The staff was helpful and friendly. The continental breakfast was delivered the night before, so we could enjoy it before our early morning departure. The location is great for easy walking access around Sidney We would absolutely stay here again!

If we can't have a full sit down breakfast, it is wonderful to have it delivered to our room the evening before. Koodoos for that

We thought we were going to be on the main floor (sometimes knee problems), but when we arrived he said 3rd (no elevator) but we were place on 2nd floor and not too bad at all...actually probably nicer to have been up one floor and facing the street instead of parking lot. Bringing a van though the very narrow side driveway was sketchy.

The staff was very friendly. As I was sitting out in the front patio, the lady brought me some ice water- it was a hot day. The front court yard was shady and cute. Great room with personality and a historical vibe. Lovely jacuzzi tub. Breakfast was brought to the room the night before. Some items were put in the fridge and the rest left on the shelf. Breakfast was continental but there was A LOT included. Easy parking around the back.

Rooms are very nice and the whole place has an old world charm. We were very surprised when a basket of muffins, cheese and yogurt was brought to our room for the following mornings breakfast before we turned in, as well as an invite to have a glass of brandy downstairs. It was very quiet too!

There are stairs so I would recommend anyone with heavy luggage and mobility problems (fortunately I don’t have any!) to reserve a main floor room. Other than that - all good!

Well cared for, nicely furnished, convenient walk to nearby restaurants. Warm welcome, sherry in the evening, breakfast brought to room the prior evening. Though near the airport, noise from flights was modest.

One side of the bed had a depression in the middle on the edge - which wasn't an issue until turning in for the night. Part of the charm are the details and soft coverings in the room - but they are also an allergy trigger if sensitive to such things.

The room was charming and a good size with a great soaker tub in the ensuite bathroom. Good location for walking to the waterfront, shops, and restaurants. Easy after-hours access and parking in the back.

If you aren't good with stairs, this isn't the place for you. It's a 3 story walk up. We didn't mind this, but some may not be able to manage this (with luggage).

The muffins were delicious and I love yogurt. The different cheeses were much appreciated along with the cereal or oatmeal. However, I seemed to have trouble with the hot water for the oatmeal. Very peaceful place and close to the theatre. The room had all amenities and was very relaxing.

I mentioned above that I had trouble with the hot water for the oatmeal but that is very minor.
