We stayed in the top room with the most amazing seaviews. Large, pretty and airy room with lots of windows.The king size bed was very comfortable and the private bathroom was large with a great shower cubicle. Nothing was too much trouble for Mike he did a beautiful breakfast menu. The haddock and the cheese omelette were 10/10. Mike was very attentive to the details of making sure we were topped up with milk, drinks and essentials. Lovely little touches like a cake to help yourself to. The front door was a bit hard to open it could do with a handle on it. Nothing to complain about though.

The property was warm and welcoming. Mike the host was very kind and helpful, the breakfasts were delicious and he was very attentive and remembered it was my Birthday on the day we were leaving. We were informed before arrival where we could locate the keys to enter both the main door and our room. Being able to park in the drive was a great feature. The view from our room was looking out to sea which was what we wanted. Our room was very spacious and had all the facilities to make drinks.

The fridge was very noisy so we had to turn it off if we were in our room, we were warned of this in the welcome pack.

Room 1 - Spacious , fantastic sea views , walking distance to sea front and beach , great quality breakfast, great range and choices of breakfast, kind and friendly owners , large size bed , hanging chair in room , tall plants in room , nice decor , private balcony the length of the house. Use of coffee machine , mini fridge with supply of milk, kettle and a good range of teas and coffees . Off road car parking - walking access to a Tesco , pharmacy , chippy and other takeaway and eat in options. Close to Torquay (3miles) and close to Cockington Park (2miles) which is a must visit .

Room 1 - Maybe move a couple of the balcony plants slightly to one side - for an even better view of the sea and skyline from the bedroom hanging chair .

Yew Tree House is in a fantastic location with amazing views of Paignton and the sea. The room was spacious, well furnished and spotlessly clean and there was a fridge and biccies and hot chocolate waiting as well as treats for our dog, really thoughtful and a lovely touch. Bathroom was great too with another amazing view out the velux. The owners were super friendly and engaging and the breakfast was the best I’ve had in ages as one of the owners is a chef. Really really great stay and will be back again soon as we continue our search for a property in the area. Great value for money too.

Everything was just fabulous, we had an phone call from the owner before we arrived to give us instructions on how to park and let ourselves in using the key safe … our superior suite room was simply the best room we have ever stayed in with outstanding views and it was so spacious and Spotlessly clean. Our host was lovely and friendly , and he freshly cooked a wonderful delicious breakfast in the morning . The bath in our room was the extra bonus for us .. a five to 10 min walk downhill to the shops and beach. We really couldn’t fault it and will definatly be returning ..so relaxing

On arrival we were greeted by the host very friendly shown ground floor where we would get breakfast then given keys to room on first floor When opening the door the view takes your breath away overlooking the town and beach no other house blocking your view Room very large king size bed all amenities tea coffee fridge and cookies A nice egg swing over looking the bay and a pair of glasses to get up close The only down side it only had a bath and no shower that just me and I’m not a bath person Breakfast was very nice good choice of cereal,preserves and a cooked breakfast 2 of everything eggs bacon sausage mushrooms hash brown and beans and tomatoes,tea or coffee and toast What more do you need to start the day with Will book again and tell all our friends Most recommended you won’t go wrong. We spent a fantastic week. The room is luxuriously furnished and offers plenty of space and comfort. Added to that is the fantastic view of the sea. Parking is very good. You can park right in front of the house. The breakfast is excellent. Everything is freshly prepared and you can choose from a large and varied selection. Mike is a very friendly and helpful host. The accommodation is ideal for a longer stay. And if you want to leave your car behind, you can easily explore the surrounding sights and the area by bus or train. We will definitely come back. On entering there was a cake which said pls help yourself with plates & napkins. We had large room Double bed with sofa bed & onsuite. Double balcony facing sea . Standard of room was 10/10 u couldn't fault the room if u tried. Mirrored furniture, egg swing chair ,fridge with fresh milk & water for Costa coffee machine 😋 👌 Galaxy hot chocolate & cookies 🍪 After a lovely sleep quite & felt safe me & my daughter couldn't wait for breakfast. 10/10 if u don't believe my review I suggest u book to find out . We will defo be bk soon 😃 😃

I didn't like I couldn't find property in dark maybe bigger signs .

I have been in hospitality industry in one capacity or another for over 40years and I have stayed in some amazing places worldwide .I would rate Yew tree House in the top 5 and at its pricepoint No 1. The owners had thought of everything to make our stay enjoyable and more importantly easy as took our dog along with us. As there was a wooden floor in the room we booked I would recommend taking a blanket for dog to lie on as we did as I didn't want to disturb anyone which worked well and even had her own dog treat left in room for her. Breakfast choice was great and running until 10 you can lie in if you want as bed so comfy.View from our window on top floor Rm4 was great as you could see whole seafront vista. If my partner had been more able and we had longer to explore area we could have Def just parked car up and used buses to get about but due to my work commitments it was unfortunately a flying visit. I will Def return to this gem

A return visit to Yew Tree House & even better than the first as we stayed an extra night this time which gave us a longer to appreciate all the little touches make this property outstanding, like the fresh milk & water cooled in the mini-fridge in your room, fresh cake available on arrival to enjoy with that first welcome cup of tea, an amazing cooked & very well presented breakfast with additional options of fruit, cereal, yogurt & pastries; dressing gowns & the torch in your bedroom. Breakfast is also served until 10am so not too early a start when on 'holiday'. The hosts are warm & welcoming & the room spotlessly clean. Parking on the driveway immediately in front of the property & self check-in makes everything so easy. It's not far to walk into town & there seems to be plenty of buses passing on the main road at the bottom of the hill to different destinations for those wishing to opt for public transport.

Everything was absolutely perfect. Tip.... an eye mask if you like a dark room, as the morning sun is bright; not at all a negative just a tip 😉
