Where to start? First and foremost the hosts Peter and Ruth are most likely the kindest people you'll ever get to meet. Add to that a lovely room, good beds, a great breakfast served with lots of choices and don't forget the briljant bistro tapas like food they serve for dinner. All that almost directly at the beach including private parking.

Absolutely nothing! If they ever would feel the need to further upgrade the already far above par level of the Hotel, maybe they could consider installing airconditioning in the rooms.

The whole trip from start to finish was amazing. The hotel was clean, comfortable and relaxed, staff were attentive, friendly and helpful at all times. The food was exceptional, and variety for breakfast was perfect. As a sole traveller, I felt included and looked after. My room was amazing and felt more than 5 star. It sas spacious and not like other single rooms ive stayed in. Tea and coffee and biscuits in the room were plentiful. A big thank you.

There was nothing to dislike.

The location was absolutely stunning right next to the beach and easy walk to a few coves. Breakfast was nice outside but do prefer to choose in the morning rather than the night before on what we would like to eat. Overall loved the mix of options (pancakes really nice!) and only wish the cooked breakfast was bigger as the food was very tasty.

Bathroom in room 10 is small, which was fine for me (5ft 2) but a squeeze for my husband at 6ft 1.

Don't delay. Book today,this really is the place to stay. The location is exceptional, with a totally unobstructed view of the bay. Imagine sitting in a beautiful conservatory, which is almost on the beach. Our room was very comfortable and impeccably clean, as was the rest of the hotel. The restaurant should have been closed for some of our nights, but the owner and his wife opened up specially and cooked the most amazing food for us. Throughout our stay, we were looked after incredibly well by a couple who were undoubtedly the best hosts we have ever encountered.

Quiet, wonderful location! The staff were amazing, Peter was very friendly, helpful and approachable. The room was lovely with a fantastic view, food in the Bistro was incredible.

The only downside was the pillows were a little soft and the duvet thick, when the weather was hot. There was however a portable air conditioning unit in the room which was very much appreciated

An absolute gem! Good location with lovely sea views. The best breakfast we've ever had! Rooms had everything you needed and beautifully kept. A very quiet adult only hotel, perfect place to rest and relax. Within walking distance of Paignton centre and good travel links to Torquay & Brixham. The hotel owners were very friendly & helpful you could tell nothing was too much trouble if you asked. All in all, it was a fantastic few days when even the weather obliged and was beautiful. What more could you ask.

Nothing to dislike to be honest.

The property was in a very good location to central Paignton and was in a quiet area within good walking distance to the main attractions. We had a sea view room in room 10 and the room was spacious with plenty of storage! The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was included and was good value for money , good amount of options available. The owner was nice- always there when needed!

The bathroom was on the small side!

Exceptional small hotel. Beautiful decor, comfy beds & pillows, delicious food and perfect location overlooking the bay. Lovely friendly Hosts, Peter and Ruth. Great attention to detail. The Tapas menu provided a lovely evening meal, everything freshly and expertly cooked. Would recommend a stay here, hope we get the chance to visit again. Thank you.

we absolutely loved staying at this beautiful place. An added bonus was the sun was shining we had opted for a sea view with balcony and managed to relax and enjoy the view. The room was spotless and had everything you wanted to make your stay enjoyable, fresh milk in flasks and soya milk on request. The towels and Robes were pure white and soft. we can’t comment on the Breakfast as we never had any ( we are not breakfast people) but there seemed to be plenty off the menu to choose from. I received a Birthday card from the owners it’s a simple touch but it meant a lot. Free parking and walkable distance to the other end of the Mariner.

Nothing the owners have worked extremely hard to provide a fabulous hotel.

Location, view, room and the owners were all exceptional. You can tell that Peter and Ruth care about their hotel and guests. The breakfast was very good and the food in the Bistro was really delicious and tasty.
