We stayed at Theros Retreat for 3 nights during our road trip, and honestly, we wish it had been longer. What a lovely and charming place. Our cottage was just behind the main building, so we missed the grand view, but we loved having breakfast in the shade on our spacious private terrace. The accommodation was clean, airy, and the bedroom was huge. But the real highlight? The beds! So comfortable that now our kids and my partner compare every other place (and especially the beds) to “the one with the big pool.” If we ever return to Kefalonia, and chances are we will, we’ll definitely come back here

If we had to mention something small: one of the kitchen cupboards had a bit of a musty smell.

The quality of the property is a very high standard, the views are stunning. The property has been well thought out my daughter felt like she had her own apartment which she basically did. Lobby into property & each on suite bedroom/ on suite / kitchenette off to either side. Cleaning offered every day.The host is available for advice / help & all the information given was perfect.

Kitchenette’s are a like small but manageable. Maybe some sort of inside rails for towels, thus is me being really picky. The pool is very quiet which my daughter loved, even in the height of summer the bar area isn’t open but this wasn’t an issue for us. You definitely need a car. My advice stick to the so called main roads. GPS took us down some very very narrow lanes in a big car. You have to be a confident driver for this island which is fantastic.

There was no breakfast, it was self catering, which was good. You could have breakfast at your own convenience. There was an electric cooker with 3 hot plates and an oven. There was a fairly decent sized fridge which incorporated a small freezer compartment. There was a good sized pool and adequate sun loungers. There was adequate parking on site as you need some form of transport, car, scooters or quad bikes to get around. The apartment was spacious with a large comfortable bed, air conditioning and TV, the bathroom was adequate with a fair sized shower and sink and w.c.

I liked everything about the place

The resort is very quiet and ideal for people looking for a beautiful, relaxing and authentic location that is a bit out of the way , but a good base to get around all that this part of this beautiful island has to offer .

There was NOTHING in the description of this beautiful accommodation stating that you needed a car to stay in this resort. Fortunately our friendly representative Andreass who couldn’t do enough to help us and put us in touch with an excellent taxi company that took us around at a very good rate . We would have not been able to enjoy our holiday . There are no general facilities ie. Supermarkets , cafes restaurants and beaches within walking of this resort . So a car is an absolute must to enjoy this resort.

It was such a beautiful, quiet and very clean property. It’s the most beautiful place I’ve ever stayed at while visiting Kefalonia. Andrea’s and Herra (forgive me if I spelt her beautiful name wrong), are such a lovely hosts. They went the extra mile and it was just a beautiful relaxing and tranquil holiday. The pool is fantastic. The room is very clean. Everything about it was just totally perfect. We are returning in September.

There is nothing to report that we didn’t like because it was absolutely perfect.

A real gem in a pretty location Immaculately clean throughout. Cleanest pool I have ever seen! Comfortable bed. Delightful and helpful host Andreas, very relaxed and quiet location.. Great base for touring the island by car. Easy 15 min drive to Argastoli, Aghios Georgos castle ruins with super views, the delightful Kastro's café just beneath it. Monastry and Vineyards also an easy drive as well as pretty Sami . Ate at 2 lovely family owned restaurants in nearby village, "Isalos" and "Cavo Liakas". Excellent food, service and good value, both recommended. Thanks Andreas for a very enjoyable stay.

No food or drink on site but minimarket very close by and Lidl supermarket 15 min drive.

Thera Retreat in Kefalonia is a true paradise. From the moment you arrive, you're greeted by stunning landscape views that immediately set the tone for a tranquil stay. The property’s pool is absolutely amazing—perfectly maintained and surrounded by lush gardens, it feels like your own private oasis. The rooms are spacious, beautifully designed, and immaculately clean, offering all the comforts you could ask for. I also slept very well on the comfortable beds, big diffetence to other plafed in Grrece with hard matrasses. Each room also has a view that makes waking up a joy. The attention to detail in every corner of the retreat is remarkable. The owner is an absolute gem—warm, welcoming, and always available to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. It’s clear that they take pride in ensuring every guest has a perfect experience.

The property is set in beautiful gardens that overlook the sea. The pictures reflect the property really well. The balconies are spacious and look over the pool and sea. Everything is well maintained. Staff are all very friendly. Andreas the owner welcomed us and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. We were on foot for our stay so we walked to the beach and the local restaurants, quite a hilly walk but doable.

Air con is only available in the bedroom and not the living room which makes the children’s sleeping space quite warm but would not put me off booking again.

Choosing Theros Retreat for our holiday in Kefalonia was the best decision we could have ever made. It’s a wonderful location, extremely peaceful and relaxing, with lovely gardens. Our apartment was very spacious, with a large balcony and the views from this balcony were simply breathtaking, both during the day and at night as well. Andreas, the host, is simply amazing and we really appreciated the warm welcome, as well as his hospitality and kind support. We really enjoyed every moment of our stay at Theros Retreat!

I had an amazing stay in Theros retreat. I would highly recommend to book your stay here and enjoy the awesome view of the sea and tranquility of the resort. The room was comfortable and the pool area was stunning. Andreas has been such a helpful host who has supported me with finding a car and extending my stay at the last minute. I will certainly come back soon! Kefalonia is such a beautiful island and its people are equally kind.
