Public Spaces absolutely fabulous; reception staff on arrival were superb as always. Good sized and provisioned room for price. Nice to have a drink from bar once we had settled in even though it as 11:30pm. Also very pleased to have an car charging point to charge car overnight. We will definitely be back again when visiting friends in Yorkshire

Only reason did not rate a 9 was because of breakfast. .last time we came the breakfast was made to order, whereas this was a buffet with undercooked bacon (we like it crispy) and not very inspiring other cooked options (my partner would normally go for cooked breakfast) The continental/cold buffet has little fruit left (an apple!), no pastries, cheese slices that were starting to curl, and two pieces of salami. It is possible that more could have been brought out if we had asked but we decided to stick to cereal and toast as we were leaving for a funeral that morning. There were two members of staff in the room, and I would have hoped they would have noticed when items needed "topping up" . Love the hotel but will breakfast elsewhere next time!

As first-timers to Bradford we were pleasantly surprised by the 'City Park' and the proximity of large attractions. The hotel is wonderfully old-fashioned, in a lovely way, and the staff were excellent. We liked the small, friendly lounge bar and found this a much better place to drink than local bars outside the hotel. Breakfast was very good, offering plenty of variety, and personal requests were taken without hesitation. When a problem arose on arrival, we were moved to another room without any fuss, quickly and efficiently.

The streets immediately off the main square of 'City park' main square were not quite so desirable and didn't invite close scrutiny after dark. We found our room much too hot, possibly not helped by the unseasonably warm weather, and had to turn radiators off and open windows. Parking might be an issue if a big event, such as a wedding, was going on.

We booked this hotel because it was close to the stunning Waterstones in Bradford we were visiting the next day. The room and bathroom were a little worn and tired, but clean, and the beds were super comfy. The shower pressure was unbelievably powerful, so be warned, it does mean some water gets on the floor even with the curtain closed. The hotel was great value for money and has plenty of character. It's historically very interesting, so be sure to check it out before your visit to get the full experience. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and the reception area was welcoming. There's another entrance from the car park that's part of the old railway station and I'd recommend you go and have a look at that. Have a look at the suitcases that are on the trolley there, you might see a name you'll recognise...

Nothing, the hotel was amazing.

Staff was extremely helpful and friendly! Good sized room, good bed, and big bath/shower space (water pressure was really good!). Clean and superconvenient - literally 2 minutes walk to the Bradford train station (Forster Square). I am definitely staying there again on my next visit to Bradford. Very good value for money, and the estate has its Northen grandeur and lots of character:-)

There were no electric sockets next to the bed, and overall, the number of electic plugs was on a lower side, so if you are tech heavy (laptop, phone, tablet etc) you may need to ask for an extension cable. There is some tiredness, but one may argue it adds to the place's charm, and there are some genuine vintage features.

The hotel is in a great location right in the centre of Bradford and although the decor is a bit dowdy, it's very clean and the room was well appointed. There was plenty of water pressure and hot water. The breakfast was a bit average, but it had the only hotel toaster that worked properly that I've ever seen in a self service breakfast!

The layout is like a rabbit warren, but there is signage. The layout on the ground floor is a bit confusing and the breakfast restaurant is past the toilets. Staff uniforms seem pretty haphazard

Location to the town center and theatre was great

Options for breakfast were limited. Personally I don’t eat any cooked breakfast (personal choice don’t like fried food) and only use a lactose free milk for cereal (so tend to simply not have whilst away from home) so I asked for an omelet, as I had heard other people ask for specific poached/scrambled eggs. I was shocked when I was then told that I would have to pay extra for an omelet! So chose to not have, explained that I wouldn’t be eating most of the other foods and the waitress then said she would put it through without a charge.

After reading the reviews I decided to book this hotel, based on its central location and the free parking. I was not disappointed. From the moment you walk into reception, it was clear this hotel has been well maintained and cared for, despite the age. Every encounter with the staff was positive from reception who were very helpful, bar staff and restaurant staff were attentive and all with a smile. The hotel was spotless and well maintained, if you are lucky to stay there don't forget to look up and see the decorative ceilings

It is hard to find something I didn't like and if I were to try and find something it would be the option at breakfast to have more fresh fruit rather than tinned.

Amazing hotel! It was decadent, looked like it had just been recently refurbished. Two minutes walk from the train station and city centre (you would not know you were so close to the train station as trains terminate at Bradford). The executive room cost £75.00 a night and had dressing gown, slippers beautiful bathroom with an amazing power shower. This hotel was by far the best value for money hotel I have ever stayed in. Please stay here rather than the Travel lodge or Premier Inn who charge the same amount. You won’t be disappointed. Also the staff were very friendly.

Nothing not to like.

The Midland Hotel was a complete gem. Walking in was like stepping back in time - the hotel encapsulates and celebrates its Victorian origins but is far from shabby - spotlessly clean and comfortable and full of wonderful original features. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the location is brilliant for finding the good things that Bradford has to offer. We thought it was incredible value for money and the icing on the cake - fresh milk in the fridge in our bedroom so we could have a decent cup of tea!

A little tip for the bar staff - don't pour all of the tonic into the gin!

Pleasant and comfortable areas. Friendly, helpful staff. Good breakfast. Well equipped bathroom. Capsule coffee machine provided in refreshment area as well as a fridge.

Our room was minimal size. One side of the bed was almost up against the radiator/ window wall making it difficult to get into bed. Room was booked as Executive but was nothing like the example photos. Reception staff were sympathetic and understanding when I explained this at checkout but because they were fully booked nothing could have been done. We would stay they again on the promise of a larger room.
