You expect Marriott to be good and it was. Loved the very handy location in Leeds for the social scene, Loved that they let me check in a bit early. Very pleased with the mirrors and lighting for doing your makeup. Loved the midday checkout time. This is primarily why i booked this hotel. I had a peaceful uninterrupted sleep.
I got a morning knock from the room servicing team to see if i had checked out so they could clean the room. No big deal as i was awake. But got this hotel so i could stay till midday. Air con was really good in the room but it got a bit hot in the bathroom.

The room was large airy and air conditioned. The bed was comfy. The bathroom was excellent, super clean, hot water at all times. Breakfast had a superb selection, particularly liked the yummy scrambles eggs. The hotel is well placed to visit and enjoy Leeds. Parking is just across the square in a multi storey for a discounted cost.
Whilst a grab and go breakfast was a nice touch for the Ironman competitors it’s not sufficient. Ironman hotels we’ve stayed in before offer breakfast from about 4am in the hotel restaurant. This allows competitors to eat appropriately setting them up. It adds a real buzz to the hotel too. Maybe something for the future to consider.

We had been given an upgrade to a suite which was very overwhelming. That was so nice and we were very pleased. The location was fantastic, 1 minute walk from shopping area and bars. The executive lounge was very nice, food option was good and we were speaking to Paul who was working in the executive lounge who was an absolute delight. So friendly and nothing was too much hard work. Breakfast was fantastic, very good options and lots of choice. For me personally, the sausages were some of the nicest sausages I have ever tasted.
Out only downside really was the lift. I know it is by random choice but we mainly got the middle lift and every time we got in, going up or down it vibrated/ shuck.

We enjoyed our whole stay. Reception staff were very friendly and restaurant staff in the evening and at breakfast too. It was great to be able to check in early as our room was ready. We liked the 12 noon check out too. We loved the restaurant in the evening and had a great meal with great atmosphere. We appreciated flexibility to be able to have a dessert adjusted to meet a dietary need.
Small things could have been better. I think the breakfast was good, but could be made better with some of the extra touches like oat/yoghurt mixes, fruit smoothies and a fresh fruit salad. Other items were all great. Conditioner had run out in the room and offering a little bit more tea, coffee and milk in the room would be better so you are not rationing them. Overall we really liked out stay.

My first encounter staying at the Marriott In Leeds, so I did have some high expectations, and frankly a lot was met. The arrival experience was ok, and the location in Leeds is really handy for you after arriving by bus or train. The hotel is kind of situated in a courtyard but is easy to find , The arrival experience for myself was ok, was quick and sufficient, however the staff at reception seemed rather quiet, but helpful enough to pin point to myself where the rooms are, and breakfast times etc. The dining options where very good indeed, especially at the Gino restaurant , food and service was very good , top quality and plenty of decent seating options, the bar was nice to unwind and relax in either before or after dinner. Also a lovely discount voucher for the Gino restaurant given to you at arrival for guests staying in the hotel, which was a very nice gesture. Thank you Marriott. The room itself, I was impressed with, it offered a minimal view of Leeds city centre, and it was quiet with no city noises or air con vents, construction work etc, so that was pleasant. The room is very modern, nice contrast in exterior colours for the room, a lovely seating area, and the bed was very comfy indeed. The room for cleanliness was superb. I know now this Marriott keeps standards high! It was also nice to have free tea/coffee facilities and a room service menu,
The only slight issues , which wasn't a big deal , was when I arrived to the 3rd floor in which I was staying on, their seemed to be a slight odour whilst in the corridor, it wasn't totally over powering, I could describe it as a old, stale smell. I found the staff to be rather quiet, I had to ask for hotel information like, breakfast times, the dining options, etc,

The reception, excellent welcome, customer requirements understanding. Hotel restaurant is Gino D'acampo which is faultless, service 1st class. I had special dietary requirements I explained this to the staff in advance of my meals and was provided with foot absolutely on point. The chef even came to discuss my needs with me. My 2 day stay has impressed me and I highly recommend it.
My stay was a thursday & friday night. The night time noise from the surrounding bars and clubs was disturbing although the windows are well insulated there was a continuous dull bass sound. The staff coulnt be more helpful, sent hotel maintenance to check the windows and offered to move me but the noise isn't all night just late so I stayed where I was.

The location was great. The room was nicely decorated and spacious, with a nice firm mattress and quality linen. The room service menu was very good and the food delivered promptly. The breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice and really set us up for the day.
The air con didn’t work and the room was hot and stuffy. The bathroom didn’t have anywhere to hand damp towels and the toilet flush didn’t work properly either. We had room service and the person who delivered it was not very friendly and we felt quite intimidated. I was glad I wasn’t a female solo traveler.

The location is excellent, right in the city centre, with parking a two minute walk. The hotel gives you a half price rate per night, which at £35 per 24hrs full price, is a much needed saving. The hotel is situated down a side street, so it’s away from the hustle and bustle of city streets, but only a stone’s throw from everything. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The facilities are good. The use of the executive lounge for elite members is excellent. We booked an executive king room and got to use this. There are certain times for snacks, hot food, beers and wine, hot and soft drinks. There is ample seating also, so just an extra place to relax. The bar area is modern and inviting with burnt orange velvet sofas’ and gold acents. Opulent embossed fabric wall coverings and large plants and foliage. The bar boasts impressive backlit onyx top and back board. It all looks very aesthetically pleasing and feels luxurious with low lighting giving a great ambience. It is a very pleasant environment, with friendly and chatty bar staff. The cocktails were fabulous. The Spicy Margarita was 🔥🌶️ just how I like it. The rooms are clean and spacious. The iron was a great addition as my steamer broke. The hotel overall is great. It’s friendly, clean, has great facilities and is everything you could need from a hotel whatever the reason for your stay.
Breakfast could have been better. Hot food items were not replenished quickly enough and therefore, you went without or were waiting around. That could be improved. The seating in the bar area, is all very low and doesn’t cater to a less mobile or a larger sized person. Some of the sofa seating in the bar area is stained and looking tired. There were bulbs out in some of the light fittings too. Not terribly important, but creates that tatty worn, tired feel. I always think with hotels, it’s the little things like this that matter.

The Marriott is roughly five minutes' walk from Leeds rail station, making it perfect for anyone visiting by rail. We were there to visit the university, so we dropped our bags at the hotel, walked up through town, did a tour, got a feel for the city, had a nice dinner, went to bed, and were gone in the morning. It was a decent walk to the Uni but it's not so big a town that able bodied people would feel the need to Uber unless in a rush. The hotel breakfast was great, standard full English buffet well presented with friendly staff. Checkin and checkout were simple, rooms and public areas are tastefully decorated. Although it is very central in Leeds, it was quiet enough, some street and train noise if you open the windows.
Nothing, it was fit for purpose.

Comfortable business style hotel with friendly staff. Handy location in city centre very near airport bus stop and not far from train station. We didn't use the gym or Gino d'Acampo restaurant (except at breakfast time). Lifts were quick. Room and bathroom very clean. Enjoyed the free tea, coffee & biscuits and the cans of cold water from the fridge were very welcome.
The Gino d'Acampo restaurant was a bit pricey and we didn't particularly want to eat a long multi-course Italian meal. The breakfast was OK but there was limited selection of meats and cheese if that was ones preference. Staff did facilitate request for freshly poached eggs. We could be wrong but it seemed the bar was really only for restaurant users and was not open during the day. It did not affect us but there were a few steps between the lift and corridor for our bedrooms; also same at reception floor but there was a small lift to bypass these steps.
