Excellent location on the lakeside at Port Carling. Spotlessly clean, spacious. Lovely balcony overlooking the water. There was plenty crockery, cutlery and pots and pans. There was a toaster, a single ring cooker, microwave, fridge, and a coffee machine. Outside, there were kayaks, canoes, a ( not very good) paddleboard, pedaloes, hydrobikes and a Canadian canoe, all of which could be used free of charge on a first come, first served basis. There were lots of chairs and recliners with parasols and inflatable climbing frames and rafts to play on. Several excellent restaurants were within easy walking distance. There were numerous specialist food shops and a supermarket half a mile away. We were there midweek and it never felt really busy.

Having a kettle would have been appreciated.

The location right in port carling and right on the water is superb. The swimming is fantastic. Nice deep water. The availability of water toys ( with no additional fee ) is much appreciated ( and not really advertised well enough!). The dock area for guests is huge and there are lots of spots for different groups to settle in. Plenty of muskoka chairs. Small balcony with view of water was nice to have. That the hotel provides towels for swimming is an added bonus.

The rooms are dated in terms of decor. This isn’t a modern boutique hotel but the water access and the outside space makes up for that.

Beautiful place with a fantastic view. Clean and comfortable. The location is perfect. Lots of fun water activities. Free paddle boats, kayaks etc.. the grounds are pristine. And the sky at night is unbelievable. Steps away from town. Restaurants, boutiques and antique shops. A few ice cream shops and a hot dog/ burger stand next door. This is the perfect getaway place. I went for quiet and relaxation and got exactly what I wanted. Wish I could have stayed longer. Will definitely be going back. Staff are all very nice and helpful. Great place all around. Would highly recommend

The cleanliness and the facilities overall beauty. The Lakeview and the convenience of getting our needs met! The choice of antiques and portraits / paintings and furniture was all spectacular. Room was spacious and clean; and most importantly the washroom was spiffy clean. Can’t be beat. We got our space and time leaving the room, very understanding and gentle. The docks were always tidy and clean with various access to different boats, paddles and kayaks for us and the boys 🙏

AC was lacking but that was a plus on the colder days

We went for just one night and I wish we could stay longer. The place is beautiful!!!! Super clean, organized, the staff is wonderful! We had an amazing time on the docks, they have play structures, paddle boards, kayaks. On top of it all the are dog friendly! It was an amazing experience!

The life jackets were a bit worn out and there were not all sizes. However this did not get in the way of our fun.

We had a fantastic view of the lake from our balcony. We had a King suite for 3 people and it was quite spacious, with a huge bathroom. It is very well equipped with cooking facilities, massive fridge and freezer. The location is great and you can make the most of the lake with a good choice of kayaks, pedlos, canoes, water bikes.

Port Carling has a few shops and cafes but there were only a couple of restaurants open in the evening within walking distance.

The Staff was alway very accommodating and met our every need. Cory was amazing at the Front Desk and went out of her way to please. Peter the Manager was always available and was great to work with regarding any changes we needed for our stay. He even personally made sure to have clean utensils when I said I would be using the BBQ cook some Steaks by the gorgeous Waterfront! Love this place and will be back!!

We were moved to a better room after having some issues with the first. The second room was lovely. Nice, well-appointed kitchen, comfy beds and chairs, and a beautiful lake view. We were very happy with our stay after our initial issues with the first room. Staff and management were very accommodating.

The room we originally booked was a strange layout and not great for 3 adults sharing. The bedroom had no door, and the second bed was a murphy bed that was located in the kitchen. You could either have a kitchen table, or the bed, not both at the same time. And there were only unupolstered chairs in the suite. Not comfy for lounging. The door to our suite also didn't lock. Thankfully, when we spoke to the person at the reception desk she was able to move us to a very nice room.

Location was great in quaint downtown Port Carling with rear units on the lakefront. We had one of the lakefront units on the top floor and it is very nice. Has a convenient balcony that is wonderful to have a morning coffee on as you take in the view of the lake. Accommodations were clean and everything was in order. Updated older building but still was charming. Parking was convenient. Port Carling downtown, lakefronts, and parks, were all in easy walking distance to the hotel. We would go here again if our travels take us here in the future.

The only thing we would recommend to folks wanting to stay here is to upgrade to the lakefront units. It's worth it. The units not on the lakefront do not have a nice view.

The hotel is located superbly right in front of Lake Muskoka, with its own pier and water "toys" - kayaks, canoes and pedal boats - available at no extra cost. It's also a short walk to a few restaurants a shops. There is a large car park outside, quite convenient to get in and get out of. The lake itself is superb! Our room was huge, plus a bathroom bigger than many hotel rooms I've stayed in as well as a nice kitchen with a huge fridge.

The reception was empty when we arrived and we had to use their own phone to call the receptionist but hey, not a big deal. What wasn't so nice was that our son's room was in a collapsible bed... in the kitchen. We had to unplug the refrigerator so it stopped making that awful noise to let our son sleep well. The room, although superb, was waaaay to expensive for our expectations.
