The helpful nature of the staff couldn’t have been better. The room was immaculately clean, warm and comfortable. The place was very friendly and that shows with the numbers of the local people using the place as well. There was no food on site but this was easily overcome with local arrangements with a restaurant 100 yards away and a good cafe for breakfast the same distance the other way. Both were excellent establishments with great food and easy prices.

If I was staying more than one night the room would have been a little on the small size but to be honest I would not be put off staying longer because everything else was so good.

We have stayed here previously when a local hotel let us down at short notice and the staff were amazing, even stayed late to give us a chance to arrive so we had no hesitation in booking again, and it it was even the staff were even better!! We ate in the hotel one evening and the food was really great and good value (and delicious) Plenty of free parking and easy access to other areas, Sainsbury supermarket within a couple of minutes drive Bus Stop a few steps away at the end of the car park Local towns Nairn and Forres a few miles away, Outside seating area.

The room was very comfortable and it was clearly recently refurbished- the furniture and decor were lovely and the room was spotless. Staff were very friendly and we also liked the bar for casual drinks in the evening.

We chose to not book breakfast as it was only available for one hour each morning (8 to 9am), which may be fine for some/most, but we prefer a later breakfast when travelling. This is just personal preference and we can understand a small hotel putting these time limits in place, it did not affect our enjoyment of the trip at all.

A very accessible,comfortable and clean hotel . We were attending a wedding and were warmly welcomed by Wilmer and family . Thank you for making our stay a memorable one .You all went out of your way to make our stay a stress free one. Fabulous Breakfast and also offering gluten free bread. The homemade Shortbread was lovely. We enjoyed being told the History of your lovely hotel. Our Deluxe room was very comfortable. The best hosts I’ve come across. We will definitely be visiting you again.

Overnight stay prior to family wedding across at Boath House. Location, evening meal and breakfast all good. They messed up a little bit by duplicating the breakfast charges - but that was as much our fault as theirs because two members of our party didn't tell each other they'd both paid. To be fair - it was all sorted without question or complaint when we pointed the error out. All in all excellent value for money - really courteous staff and I'd have no hesitation in recommending. THANK YOU!!

I gather one of the other guests (not in our party) arrived horribly late and couldn't get in. Again to be fair to the hotel, I'm pretty sure they didn't ring ahead to tell them to expect them late so whilst there was some complaining the next day I don't think it's fair to blame the hotel or staff.

Our stay in 1645 Inn was the best in our whole Scottland trip in April :) the owners are wonderfully nice people, the food in the Pub and the breakfast in the bistro are delicious. It was such a shame that we only stayed one night! A big thank you for such a warm welcome and the talks and spontaneous whiskey tastings in the bar 🥃 We will never forget your hospitality and will definitely come back if you ever are in Scotland again! We were over visiting my family in Nairn and decided to stay in the 1645 inn for the night. The place is a beautiful wee spot and so convenient if you're heading into nairn. We loved how attentive the staff were. The reception and the bar staff were super friendly, nothing was too much trouble. The lady greeted us at reception and personally showed us to our room, which was a lovely touch. (I wish I knew her name to thank her) Rooms were so clean and comfy. They have everything you need. Thank you so much to staff at 1645 inn. We will be back x

This place is clearly ran with pride by its owners and staff. We were welcomed by a member of the kitchen staff about to start his shift, he arranged for the manager to come greet us even though we were out of hours, he alongside all of the staff we interacted with were lovely to deal with. Rooms are decent and look to have been recently spruced up, bed was comfortable, dinner was really very nice and there was a decent selection of drinks, breakfast too was good quality. Oh and the car park was a decent size.....location is great if you need to be in this part of the world.

Maybe a little pricey for what was offered - also the public areas (bar, breakfast room) were a bit on the cold side....admittedly it was July so you'd expect not to need the heating on, but this is Scotland after all (or maybe I'm just a southern softie!)

We stayed for 1 night in April, arriving late from the airport. Emailed ahead to ensure the late arrival was possible and if a heater could be provided. Nothing was too much trouble and the room was lovely and toasty. A much appreciated welcome after a long flight from abroad. Bed was comfortable, towels a good size and excellent quality. If we returned for more than 1 night, would book a deluxe room, just for the additional floor space. We preordered breakfast which was fabulous and so much choice. Overall a great stay.. Thank you

In our room the shower cubicle was very small and water pressure poor. No glasses provided for water, teeth cleaning etc

We stayed 1 night in hotel. Booking via booking.com was very easy. Hotel is located in suburb and has large free parking. Reception was very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and space was sufficient. Next to hotel Cafe/restaurant for food and breakfast. Evening was cozy and service friendly. Breakfast was specially adjusted to our wishes by waitress. Chapaeu! Everything was possible. All in all a good stay
