Stayed here before, the welcome is always brilliant and the bar and restaurant staff are fantastic. The atmosphere is always brilliant, and even when there is live music on, it doesn't disturb sleep in the rooms. We didn't eat this time - it was a flying one night visit to see friends in town - but have before and can highly recommend the food. The Bandstand are really accommodating, we needed to leave first thing and the "grab & go" breakfast we had been given was fantastic too. Highly recommend staying here. The whisky and beer selection is always excellent.

The worst criticism I can give is that the portions (of the very, very good food) are a bit big!!

The breakfast is great, the breakfast chef was proactive in making bacon sandwiches for our children who didn't get out of bed in time. The food at dinner is good quality and relatively inexpensive. I love the views and proximity to the beach and to town.

There was a low frequency humm throughout the night in our room, only periodically switching off. It could have been an exhaust fan from an adjoining room, or something else. But I'd guess it's on for more than half the night, making it difficult to sleep.

Loved the view from the dinning room looking over the ocean. There was a good variety of food along with good atmosphere. We enjoyed the signer and his family one evening. The bar staff knew their Single Malts. Staff always had a smile and greeted you and offered advice when asked. Good location for accessing a variety of things to see from castles to beaches and lots more. Nice beaches to swim on if you don't mind the cold of May.

The bathroom was a little small, but that seems to be the case all over the UK. Parking was awkward but there was always space.

The staff was truly exceptional! I wish I could remember all of their names. The toffee pudding may have been the best thing I’ve ever eaten in my entire life! The breakfast was fantastic as well! I especially loved the proper chef that doesn’t do desserts! :) the atmosphere was very comfortable and inviting. Their band were also fantastic.

I would not have changed anything about my experience at the bandstand

Room was nice with a sea view. Bed was very good size - more like a small double than single. Decent shower in the bathroom. Breakfast was very good - plenty of choice. Lunch and evening meal were also very tasty. Staff were very friendly and helpful, especially the breakfast staff.

The only negative was that I asked for a decaf coffee after my evening meal and I learned the next day that the waitress had used a decaf coffee bag but put it through the machine, which is why I had a sleepless night. I was told by another member of staff when I checked out that they usually give decaf coffee in a cafetière - that would have been fine. As it was I was it ruined my night and left me shattered the next day, but hopefully they won't make the same mistake in future. My room was lovely and peaceful in the night but if there's entertainment in the bar you can hear it all as well as clattering about downstairs, so take ear plugs if you want or need to sleep before midnight.

Staff are amazing, view is fantastic! The Most comfortable bed I've slept in and I travel for business a lot! And clean

Tv ariel was faulty and kept losing signal but the staff couldn't have done more, fixed it every time. Nothing worse than sitting down to breakfast and being told to move to another table for no real apparent reason. Had to humf my heavy bag and all my stuff. Plenty free tables. Ariel didn't bother me because they were great trying to fix it but if I hadn't been told to move would have got 10/10.

Loved the location next to the sea and the views from the dining room. Great choice of proper beer and good beer garden out the back. Staff friendly and good service. Plenty of atmosphere in the bar

Being pernickety parking was a bit of a fiddle due to the number of diners but not a real problem - the place doesn't have its own car park but can park out back very close by,

Very much enjoyed my stay at The Bandstand. The staff were very friendly indeed and the owner was very helpful. I had an evening meal and I must say that the food was fantastic, your Chef is at the top of his game! There is also a fantastic choice of craft beers available at the bar which were fantastic, no wonder this place was voted best highlands and Islands pub of the year!! I will most definitely be staying again, looking forward to it.

Had a late check in and caught the bus from Inverness airport - Brilliant connection to the hotel and only a short walk away from the bus station at Nairn. Arrived at the hotel around 10.30pm. Room was lovely and very well equipment for what we needed. Bar had live music when we arrived which was fantastic. Staff were friendly and the bar was well stocked. Breakfast was great! cooked to order with cereal to choose from. Good choice for Vegetarians and Vegan from the breakfast menu and they will take requests that you might have for breakfast. Views are amazing looking right over the sea - even our room had a sea view! Will be staying again

Everything was great, I think the only thing I found was a little daunting when we arrived late as you could hear the music from outside and people were gathered drinking and smoking right by the entrance door. Would be be good to be told Live music was happening ahead of our stay.

Rooms were comfy, plenty of power sockets to charge devices. Good quality evening meal with a range of local ales available. There was a live band playing on the night of my stay - I was worried that they may be a bit loud, but not the case, they were very enjoyable. Great views out over to the beach and the Moray Firth. It's only 20 minutes to Inverness and much better value than accommodation located in the city.

Breakfast was tasty, but service was very erratic and disfunctional - things like the cereal packets are on a table of their own with bowls available. But no milk / juice beside them - when asked for milk, server supplied a silly little jug of milk - barely enough for a large spoonful! We'd finished cereals before order was taken for cooked breakfast. Only other niggle is that there are a lot of stairs to the bedrooms upstairs with my room also having some steps down into it which you had to be careful about. Car parking is limited outside the property. Overall, nothing major though.
