Comfy room very central very modern. Only 1 lady on reception on arrival so we had a fair wait to check in. Nobody was ever asked to help and she didn't call anyone who could speed up the process. The reception was so hot and only 1 seat. The person managing breakfast service (male) was incredibly rude! Told nothing was a problem then when I told him there was no bacon sausages and eggs left he told me he didn't cook the breakfast. Took ages for things to be replenished and they use a basic cheap toaster so the wue for toast was lengthy. The juice options took forever to be replenished too. Very cramped area

This is a lovely hotel in a great location. If I had paid £130 a room I would have loved the stay. The staff were delightful and very attentive. The front desk staff were exceptional providing a very professional service. The shower was great and he bathroom was very clean.

For the £230 price tag for the night the tea stains on the carpet and rooms only cleaned if you asked at reception was a little disappointing. The first night the room was not cleaned although we hung out the sign. We returned back to our room at 2.40 pm on the second day to find the room still hadn’t been made up. The maid immediately arrived at the door. We asked if she could come back in 10 minutes but she said she couldn’t as she finished at 3! Acceptable in a cheaper hotel but not for this price. The worn area in the carpet on the top floor looks like a spilt strawberry ice cream and the empty pizza boxes waiting to be emptied by the maid which stayed there all day was just a bit offputting.

The hotel is perfectly located in the city centre, just steps away from the shops and only a short walk to the loch. Our room overlooked the back of the hotel, with a charming view of the church from our window, absolutely beautiful! The bed was comfortable, and although we could occasionally hear the guests next door, it was wonderfully quiet throughout the night. We ordered room service and tried the burger and salmon, both were delicious, and I would happily dine here again. I would have tried the gym but didn't have enough time and after hiking for 5 days it was a nice relaxing stay. We usually stay at the Radisson Hotel in Bath, but this one in Inverness exceeded our expectations!

Very modern hotel with excellent facilities right in centre of Inverness. Breakfast was really good, hotel was clean and staff friendly.

Issue with booking and communication. I’d booked 5 twin rooms. Hotel tried to call day before arrival and ask how many twins we needed. I phoned back and told reception we needed 5. When we arrived we only had 2 twin rooms. Manager said message had not been passed on. Made to feel it was my fault as hadn’t replied to the message they’d sent me on ‘booking.com’ (even though I’d called them back and spoke to someone who took the details). Very little in way of a full apology or any partial refund or something. Thankfully some of the party had no issue sharing a double bed, otherwise could’ve been costly to book more rooms.

Central location as we were there overnight to catch an early train. Clean and well appointed. The bed was a little hard, but my husband prefers that. We had asked for rooms side by side with our children and did not get it, but they were on the same floor (they're teens, so it wasn't a big deal, but I prefer to be closer). There are a few cafes and resaurants nearby, which made dinner and an early morning pastry easy. The rooms on the front of the hotel, on the lower floors, are more noisy than those at the back. But even on a Saturday night, we didn't have trouble.

The booking.com system can sometimes make it seem like a request has been fufilled. Either that or the hotel staff's use of it can. We had what appeared to be a confirmation of side by side rooms. Even though it wasn't a deal a deal breaker not to have them, you start out an experience on the wrong foot of expecting a thing and then not getting it.

I have stayed at this hotel on multiple occasions now and the staff are always so welcoming and helpful as they were this time around. The location is perfect for everything in Inverness and the room was yet again a great size with the usual comfortable bed. The shower is absolute perfection and the ideal way to get a day underway!

My previous reviews have always been 10/10 and no negative comments as there was nothing negative to say. However, this time around I feel the hotel has dropped the ball with its usual high standards. There were marks on the wall of the room that are very visible and don't meet the usual cleanliness provided and I the bedside lamps wouldn't work on my first night (this was fixed by the time I arrived back on my 2nd day). In the bathroom, the toilet seat was loose and the shower basket holding the shampoo and body wash was hanging off the wall.

Great location. The staff at the River Ness Hotel were truly exceptional. Specifically, Chinmaie was friendly, helpful, and went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed during our stay. She were more than happy to accommodate any requests we had and offered great recommendations for restaurants and places to visit, which made our trip even more enjoyable. Her warm hospitality and attention to detail really made us feel welcome and well taken care of. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience — thank you to the wonderful team at River Ness Hotel!

Super nice staff! Just lovely. Friendly and always ready to help! We went to Inverness to celebrate Christmas in the Highlands and the staff just made it more magical! A huge thank you to Gautam and the lovely Chinmaie! We stayed in the family room. This has a very comfortable double bed and a sofa bed. The sofa bed maybe fine for a child, but for an adult it needs a mattress topper. With the topper it was super comfortable! The room has a decent bathroom with a decent shower, a desk with chair, a soft chair and a small wardrobe with a safe, hairdryer and ironing board. We had breakfast on Christmas morning at the hotel. This was a very nice buffet with incredible mushrooms! We also dined at the hotel Christmas evening. This was another gorgeous buffet in a nicely decorated room with gentle Christmas music! It was a lovely evening!

The room needs more places to hang coats and clothes. Up to four people could stay in the room and the small wardrobe was not quite enough. The bathroom had just two pegs to hang towels. This wasn't enough. It would make the room a lot more comfortable to have more pegs in the bathroom and coat hooks in the room.

Spotlessly clean room, very spacious with useful additions such as light on the closet, ambient lighting and iron with ironing board. The bathroom was also immaculate and the shower was very comfortable with a very fast response on the hot/cold water. The bed was very comfortable and the room had very good sound insulation. In general a modern hotel. The location of the hotel is in the historic center of Inverness and all the bars and sights are close by.

We didn't pre book our breakfast, and the price per person was high. With half the amount of money you can have a full english/scottish breakfast nearby

Our stay at the River Ness Hotel was wonderful. Our room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. Just a short walk from the train station, it was a great location -- also just a street away from the River Ness itself and nestled near many different restaurants, cafes, supermarkets, and shops. You never had to walk far to get where you wanted to go! The staff were very very helpful and friendly; Chinmaie at reception was lovely and ensured our stay was enjoyable. We will definitely stay here again when we come back to Inverness!
