Warm and welcoming staff. We felt well cared for. Comfortable room. Good location. Quiet.

The price keeps exploded year on year which is very disappointing. The summer prices are extortionate. As loyal customers we are now priced out for the summer season. I am not prepared to pay £500 for a night. The same room was £200 just a few seasons ago. The food is good but the portions at the à la carte restaurant are minuscule. And charging for parking the car on the promises when there is no alternative doesn’t reflect the value of the great Scottish hospitality.

The breakfast was excellent with a buffet to start with fruit, cereals and pastries. Then you can order from kitchen a hot dish. We had the full Scottish breakfast both days. The location is on Ness Walk, next to the river, it is quiet and 10minute walk from the city centre. The restaurant also do evening tasting menus which was excellent. As well as a lounge menu. The bedroom was comfortable with a separate toilet to the bathroom, which had both a walk in shower, a bath and twin sinks. I stayed in a king room with a private patio. This particular room could be seen from the restaurant area so not fully private, however the rooms in the other side are perfectly secluded.

Super friendly staff. Great attention to email and lovely food. We had a slight issue with a put up bed that had been put in our enormous suite for our daughter as it had a slat missing and would have been impossible to sleep on. This was solved in 30 minutes, housekeeping in our room in minutes and then somebody sped off to a nearby sister hotel to bring another bed! Service could not have been more attentive and clearly staff will do anything to make sure you are comfortable. So realistically the slight negative turned in to a massive positive to show how caring and desperate for all their guests to be comfortable and happy!

Nothing,

The hotel is lovely - the interiors are warm and luxurious. The gardens and views are superb, any time of the year. Most of the staff members are very friendly and professional. The management team goes out of their way. The food is not up to standard (either breakfast or dinner). There are many outstanding restaurants in Inverness, and Ness Walk really needs to relook their restaurant offering.

Staff usually go out of their way, however, when we left, they all stood by and watched my husband drag suitcases from the reception to the car, in the rain, without any offer to assist in any way. This is not in keeping with the management, who set a great example for customer service.

Location is an easy walk from Inverness shops and train station.... if the weather is good which fortunately it was during my visit. Otherwise only a short taxi ride. Gated entrance is good.. so quite secure. Breakfast was excellent, service levels were high throughout the hotel. Location by the river is excellent.

Although the room/suite was a great size and the bathroom was top quality, I did not appreciate the slanting roofs in the room which made for a very precarious existence for my kids and I as we are all tall. we had a few accidental bangs and near misses. I would not want this type of ceiling on my next visit. Otherwise an excellent room ... somewhat noisy at times as the lift was right outside the entrance to the room.

The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful. It’s cosy, the staff are personable. The lunch and breakfast were superb. Our bedroom was absolutely stunning. The bed was so comfortable. This was our final day of a 7 day tour of Scotland and the perfect sleep was just what we needed. Our bed was so wide, so luxurious and most importantly to me the pillows were just perfect. The shower was powerful and had the option of shower head or hand held shower. The location, ambience and coziness of this hotel made it the perfect end to a perfect holiday. Thank you Ness Walk for making the ending of our honeymoon perfect . We will definitely be back. 100% recommended

Nothing. It was perfect

We were greeted very warmly by the staff with two glasses of champagne and a smile. The check in went smoothly and we were able to instantly book for dinner that night. Mark showed us to our room and was very personable and knowledgable about the location and facilities. The hotel is expansive and quiet. Enabling you to feel tucked away whilst still being within a quick walk to all amenities. The hotel was in an excellent location, a small stroll to some great cafes and restaurants in a safe part of town. Would highly recommend.

This is a special place. The experience really begins as you walk through the front doors and are warmly welcomed by the check in staff and the concierge. A chilled glass of very good Champagne is on offer which is enjoyed in the very comfortable lounge. Your bags are whisked away without fuss to be reunited as you are shown to your room. We didn't eat this time, but previously, I had the best fillet steak in the beautiful dining room. The rooms are spacious, luxuriously furnished and the beds are perfect. The breakfast buffet is something to behold (although not my thing) and the traditional cooked Scottish breakfast is of high quality, and very well cooked. We like to stay 2 or 3 times a year and it never gets boring.

There is not a lot to not like.

We stay here 2 or 3 times a year and the standards are always consistently high. The staff are all excellent but the front desk team and concierge are exceptional. This hotel is worthy of its 5 star rating and the staff really do take it up a notch. Our standard double room was very well appointed with everything you would expect. The bathroom has a bath, which is nice and not always the case is other hotels. Super king bed with high quality linens. Coffee machine etc. Breakfast is substantial and of high quality. The fresh berries in the help yourself buffet were amazing.

There is nothing really to not like. The winter rates are very favourable and so you can experience the full package but for a non peak rate.
