Our Rossal House Apartment felt like staying in a country manor. The entry to the house is quite grand in scale and furnishings. The scale of the staircase makes it easy to negotiate with luggage, being wide, shallow in angle and having broad treads. The lounge/dining room is simply huge and very comfortable. There are nice views from the windows of the expansive grounds. Watching the antics of the Red Squirrels in the big trees was an unexpected treat. Kitchen is modern, clean and functional. Bedroom is a good size with floor space to lay cases out. Bathroom is functional. A car is best as the house is too far from the town centre for it to be practical to walk to restaurants. We could have easily stayed a week here.

Hard to fault other than the bed, although comfortable, was inexplicably narrow given the generous size of the bedroom.

Location and setting was beautiful, with well kept surroundings. We were placed to the back of the main building. The instruction to gain entry were precise and hassle free. Kitchen was well equipped as was the room, I feel the bed could do with a new matress. Free wifi came in great and a smart tv was a bonus as we were able to watch netflix. Bathroom was always available, but I would suggest adding a bathroom screen cleaner so bathroom could be left in a clean state for the next user.

I dont think there was anything that I didn't like - was very hard to get a taxi but that may just be an Inverness issue.

We booked two units at this property—one was inside a large house and the other behind it. I was thrilled with how lovely the interiors and my apartment/unit looked, designed in a charming classic Scottish style. Checking in and out was super smooth, and we didn’t need to meet anyone from the property. Our stay was incredibly comfortable, and we loved every moment. I’d highly recommend this place to anyone!

We booked two units at this property, but I wish they had placed both inside the main house together. It felt like my brother’s family was a bit separated from us, which wasn’t ideal. Their unit had a more modern style, lacking the classic Scottish charm that we loved in ours, but was comfortable.

My small room behind the main building was quiet and comfortable. There was a kitchen next door to my room with huge fridge and table to dine. Car parking was easy. Our wing of three units had two shared bathrooms. There were key codes for entry and we could also access the main building which had a lovely lounge area with open fireplace and high ceilings. I imagine the serviced apartments in this part of the building are more opulent, but I chose the budget option, which was perfect for a solo traveller for one night. The property is stunning with beautiful gardens where you can sit outside.

There were codes to access our part of the building and the individual rooms. While this provided great security, I was terrified of locking myself out of my room or the building when going to the bathroom/car park and not having the code to hand, especially after hours. There were no staff on site to help out. It all felt a bit impersonal.

We liked the location, the arts and crafts original features of the property, the apartment had everything we needed. The checking in and out was also easy as all done remotely. There was a quick response when we had a query.

Two small issues: the toilet seat does not fit the toilet properly, and it moves about. Not the end of the world but mildly irritating and not in keeping with the property otherwise, nor the cost for 2 nights. Secondly, there were no decaf options for tea and coffee available. Again, it's a minor issue, but one that is easily fixed.

We stayed at one of the apartments round the back (Balintore I think) Very comfortable, huge bedrooms, well appointed kitchen area, with a nice little area to relax and watch telly or play games of an evening, but most importantly for us this visit, very conveniently situated for the Loch Ness Marathon - just a 15 minute walk via Ness Islands to get to the buses at the start and a 20 minute hobble* from the finish. I'd highly recommend it to anyone looking for a base for the race event (the 10k starts in a different place about a 40 minute walk away, but finishes at the event village, so it's still a good location for that. *Hobble times may vary depending on how tough you find the hills on the race!

We struggled with hot water one night, but you do need to run it for a long time to get hot water anyway (it gives details in the useful manual they provide). We could probably have done without the steps up to the front door, but that was a post marathon specific issue, so not a problem for most!

Lovely big space. Nice neat grounds. Fresh decoration. Prompt response from Front Desk to my questions. Some nice touches. Comfortable.

Very minor points - main bedroom curtains had no lining. There are a lot of security lights outside this room and that makes the room very bright through the curtains. A blanket on the curtain rail helped. I think the other bedroom curtains are similar but less lighting outside (in autumn). (Balblair) The TV isn’t ‘smart’ - I forgot to take a Fire Stick Pans are too small and not enough for the kitchen to be useful. No serving spoons etc, an easy improvement. While important areas were clean it would be good to dust skirting boards etc now and again to add that finishing touch. Given the time that seems to have been taken on the overall look it would just take a little more time/cost to make it a 10/10 stay. Curtains, TV, kitchen equipment, a more connected theme to decor.

Lovely property with a variety of rooms to suit your needs. Some of our group had full apartments with bathrooms and some had apartments with shared bathrooms. All were clean and spacious. The self check in was great and the staff were communicative with instructions. We only stayed one night before our flight, but I would have been happy to stay more!

Some in our group had an annex family apartment and said it was very warm, but it was an unusually warm day in Scotland 🙂

We came to stay before our wedding and wanted a fuss free base for our stay. It was more than we could have hoped, beautiful place, gorgeous gardens for our photos, the staff couldn't have been more helpful and the rooms were perfect! The staff were in contact before the day with all of the information, really accommodating to our requests and left us to it. Such a chill vibe and we will definitely be back!

There was just one tiny thing for feedback, we stayed in Balblair apartment, the outside light stayed on all night and shined into our bedroom window, a pair of blackout curtains would solve this, apart from that ( and that's a small niggle) everything else was exceptional!

A clean,quiet, comfortable room with lovely surroundings, easy parking and good cooking facilities, in easy reach of everywhere we wanted to visit in Inverness. There was a comfortable guest lounge available near our room.

The bathroom was very small with very little storage space but shower pressure was good and the water was lovely and warm. The fridge was a good size but there was no freezer section. Minor issues, not really problems.
