We had a recently renovated room on the 2nd floor. It was comfortable and modern. It’s a 1.2 km walk into the town centre so no need to drive and search for car parking. The staff are so friendly and helpful, couldn’t be better. The pool was lovely and warm. There is a sauna but we didn’t use it.

The hallway floors are a bit creaky so you can get woken by early risers moving about. The lift is quite small and slow but it does its job so you don’t have to carry luggage upstairs. The carpark can be full up when you get back late from road tripping.

The location was very good, could walk to the centre of Inverness and easy links (driving as we didn’t use public transport) for airport, Loch Ness, etc. We came with our 2 years old so having access to the pool was great. The stuff was absolutely lovely and very helpful. We need a few things during our stay and they provided us with everything within minutes. Definitely one of the best costumer service I’ve come to.

The whole building (mostly common areas) was smelly. Sometimes to fish. I am pregnant so that wasn’t fun. Everything is very dated and not very clean. The room was a good size - note we booked the big family room - but the bathroom wasn’t spotless, the mattresses weren’t very comfortable and neither were the pillows. As other reviews have said it really needs updating and I personally wouldn’t stay here again due to the smells and the lack of comfort with the beds/pillows which is something basic. Worth spending a bit more and going to the Kingsmill. I am assuming we got what we paid for.

The room I was assigned was quite sizeable, offering ample space to both work and relax. The bed was incredibly comfy, providing a restful night's sleep after a long day. It was clear that the hotel places a strong emphasis on cleanliness, as the room and facilities were spotless, creating a pleasant and inviting atmosphere. The staff was exceptionally friendly, always ready, and had a warm smile and helpful attitude, which truly made my stay feel welcoming and stress-free. The hotel offers many parking spaces, ensuring that guests never have to worry about finding a spot. Overall, my stay was very enjoyable, and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient stay.

I am not willing to write anything negative about the accommodation as everything was perfectly fine. It was all as it should be, with no issues to report. The stay met my expectations, and I had a pleasant experience.

The breakfast is buffet and is in the bar area which is very comfortable and well presented with good choice of food overall. We ate in the dining room on the night of arrival 2nd January, staff were very attentive, the menu had a good choice and the food good quality. We were only able to use the restaurant on that one night since the chefs were on medical leave or on holiday the remainder of the nights we were there. The hotel had advised us of the restaurant closure, however, Inverness has many easily reachable eateries as an alternative. The room we had was very spacious with large bed, desk, armchairs, coffee table and housekeeping attended daily. Bathroom was large enough with bath, shower etc and well appointed. We also used the swimming pool and suna on a daily basis which aided the relaxation.

In the main, nothing, although the rooms and general decor are getting to a point where redecoration would improve the look of the hotel.

We requested and received an end corridor room, as we had our dog with us, and less passing traffic the better. Breakfast was very nice, staff member was on her own and very very busy. Lots of tables to be cleared. Overall a little dated, but still very good value for the money. Good location to walk into town.

We didn't go to the pool as planned, as there appeared to be kids swimming lessons on, which would not have been conducive to a relaxing swim/sauna. The bar was closed before 11pm on the Saturday night, which was a shame as we left town centre early to have a night cap at the hotel.

The experience was amazing from check inn too check out the hotel was lovely and the staff all went above and beyond during our stay the room was fantastic great size bed was nice and comfy the en suite was huge boasting a bath and a shower which we loved breakfast was help urself style which we couldnt fault had plenty of choice from cerals to fruit cheeses and pastries too hot food had a we dip in pool and sauna on which was great can't say enough would definitely recommend and will be back

Craigmonie is one of the world’s most welcoming, friendly and kindest hotels. To say I had an adventure with my booking and stay was an understatement. From realising I booked the wrong month to eventually turning up with a sick family, the team at craigmonie were compassionate, supportive and bent over backwards to help me with the booking and to ensure that we were all comfortable and had everything we needed. 3 main shout outs. To Hazel, for absolutely everything, the extra bedding, towels, cleaning products, for organising the taxis for me to get to Tesco and back, and for continuously checking in to make sure we had all we needed. Danielle for keeping an eye on my booking when I was fixing the wrong date issue, for letting me know that booking.com had only fixed one room and for fixing my room size to a family hours before we arrived, and Neil, I believe they call you boss man…. For the epic snowball fight with the kids and for also ensuring we had all we needed and were well looked after. I may not have seen Inverness on this trip. But I’ll be back and I know exactly where I’ll be staying. Till next time x

Very good location and facilities. Friendly and welcoming staff.

Plenty of off street parking and a reasonable location to walk into Inverness centre (15mins). Booked a superior double room and this was good in size with a huge bathroom / bath and a great shower cabinet. Plenty of hot water / pressure too which is not always guaranteed in an older property. Friendly staff at reception and the room was nice and clean. Only had breakfast in the hotel which provided a good buffet spread including porridge!

bathroom radiator needed air to be bled from it - a minor issue but reported to reception so that it could be fixed for the next guest.

The staff were exceptional, going out of their way to help. There was a good ‘vibe’ throughout the hotel. Loved being able to open the windows. Breakfast was nicely done- best eggs I’ve had since we got to Scotland. Very handy to have the lift. I would recommend staying here.

This isn’t really an issue (especially when you consider all the positives), but it was a 15 minute walk from town. It was an attractive walk, and not difficult.
