We were totally let down at the last minute by VRBO (DONT USE THEM AS THEY ARE A DIABOLICAL SITE) . They double booked us for my partners birthday as another couple had already booked the same room in January! And still have not resolved the complaint or contacted us or refunded us after 4 days! We booked the Heathmount on a recommendation and happened to mention this on the notes. They replied that they hoped we would not be disappointed here and we weren't. They upgraded our room free of charge. Beautiful 4 poster room..looked brand new. The waitress ( on reception, at the bar, and at breakfast) was EXCELLENT...so nice to see great customer service. ( didn't catch her name). Much more worthy of at least 4 stars rather than recommended 3! I would absolutely recommend this Beautiful hotel If staying in Inverness...walking distance to the town centre. Lovely outside seating area too. We stayed 25/4/25.

What a great find! A lovely small hotel with comfy, very clean rooms and a great choice for breakfast. Staff all very friendly and helpful.

Absolutely loved my stay at the Heathmount. My room was absolutely beautiful and spotlessly clean. Was apprehensive at first as when I arrived the bar was very busy and quite noisy, didn’t hear a thing from my room so absolutely nothing to be worried about. Hotel is lovely and close to city center. Took me 7 mins to walk into the centre of Inverness. Food was exceptional and couldn’t fault it would definitely stay here again

I LOVED the bed. The most comfy hotel bed I've ever slept on, and I've stayed at £500 a night hotels. The receptionist was very nice and friendly and gave me local information. The shower! Fantastic shower and products left in the room. Cleanliness, tea/coffee offerings, free WiFi.

The white curtain over the little window. Let too much light through. Personally, I'd change it to a grey or darker colour. My rooms need to be blacked out when I sleep. So, despite the bed being like a fluffy hug, the glow through the curtain actually disturbed my sleep. Which is a shame.

We really loved our stay at the Heathmont. Beds were super comfy and made me not want to leave. Awesome bathrooms with electronic shower controls and lighting. Location is near High Street making it easy to swing into Inverness for the night. Bar staff was super friendly and accommodating. Good food and drinks too. Everything was very clean and the rooms smelled pleasant.

The location of the hotel parking lot is in the middle of a 5 way intersection making getting in and out a bit of a hassle. There were no elevators that I found making hauling bags a bit of a chore. The view in our particular room was a bit meh but mostly because the window was so small. Honestly none of these items annoyed me all that much aside from the parking.

What a super small hotel the room was large modern in style and tastefully decorated the bathroom was large and well appointed great bath and huge rain shower nice toiletries. In a quiet location but only a few minutes walk to the centre and tourist attractions. The staff were very welcoming helpful and friendly. The breakfast was very good and a variety of choices. We had dinner there also and this was very good interesting menu very tasty food good service at a reasonable price. The bar/restaurant areas are bright and airy modern but not impersonal again all staff excellent. We would highly recommend this hotel

The room was very nice, quiet, and comfortable. Our room had double skylights which allowed a pleasant breeze through, but could be shaded to darken the room in daytime if desired. We really enjoyed the dining room menu and the pub had a very large selection of whiskey and gins.

There is no elevator, so be prepared if on the top floor. Bathroom was quite small making getting in the shower a bit awkward - but unlike many of our Scotland hotels - the shower worked well!.

The room was gorgeous! We only stayed for one night, but we wished we were able to stay longer. We had both dinner and breakfast in the hotel restaurant and each was very good. The dining area is lovely, with great atmosphere.

The only exception to this great review was the stairs, as it's difficult to get up and down stairs with heavy luggage. However, I understand that the hotel is old and putting in an elevator is likely not feasible. My suggestion would be that hotel staff offer to help you with your luggage upon check-in and check-out.

While the design was somewhat quirky, everything was comfortably large and cozy. There was ample storage in the room and multiple heating sources so the temperature was just as we liked, including heated towel racks. Bar and restaurant served adequate food when we didn’t feel like going out, and the staff was beyond friendly and excellent. Location was on a hill above where most of the sites are, with an easy walk down. The neighborhood was charming. Mostly Victorian. I consider this a little gem.

There is no lift so caring luggage up could be a struggle. However, the staff cheerfully helped us.

The hotel was recently and tastefully updated. In addition, our room and bathroom was very spacious and our bed was clean, crisp and comfortable. The staff were very helpful and polite and seemed to genuinely care that we were happy and had a great experience. The food and service in the restaurant was also excellent. The Heathmount is a short walk from the main shopping street with lots of stores for all tastes and needs. I have no hesitation in recommending The Heathmount and would definitely stay again if returning to Inverness.
