I truly can't fault my stay here! The location was perfect, Jamie (& his lovely family - Heather and kids) were the perfect hosts, and we had everything we needed for the whole stay. Breakfast was perfect, a small continental full of choice (I'm going to miss the 3 berries jam) The room was comfortable, clean, and the perfect size for our five night stay. The shower was AMAZING - I wish I could of stayed in there all day lol. I genuinely wish I could move in here! My whole experience in Inverness is one to remember, and I'm so fortunate that I got to stay at Doric House, and I really hope to stay here in the future 💙 Keep up the fabulous work, missing it already 🥺 K & D xx

Our stay at Doric House in Inverness was everything we hoped for and more. From the moment we arrived, Jamie, our host, made us feel incredibly welcome. He was not only kind and attentive but also a wonderful source of local knowledge—happy to share tips, stories, and suggestions that made our visit even more memorable. Our room was clean, cozy, and very comfortable, and each morning we enjoyed a fresh, ample breakfast that set us up perfectly for the day. The neighborhood felt safe and peaceful, and we never hesitated to take a stroll, even after dark. One of the biggest perks was the location—just a short 5 to 10 minute walk to the city center, where we had easy access to shops, restaurants, tour pick-up points, and the train station. It made everything incredibly convenient. We originally chose Doric House based on glowing reviews, and I’m so happy to add my own to the list. It didn’t feel like staying at a B&B—it felt like visiting a favorite uncle’s home. If you’re headed to Inverness, this is the place to stay!

We wouldn’t change a thing.

The room we had was large with an ensuite. The continental breakfast was very good with lots of options including pasties, yogurt, cereals etc. The host are great, very helpful and informative. The room was very clean taken care of daily. The location was very good. Central to pubs, restaurants etc and for getting in and out of Inverness.

I liked the property and managers a lot. An issue others might have is regarding on street parking. The managers have got permits and we found spaces were always available just not put the front but just be aware it is on street.

Our hosts were great. When we needed something, they were there. Laundry service was amazing as we were spending 2 weeks in Scotland, it really helped us :) Location is so close to the center. Just a couple of minutes walk from center.

A vegan milk option would be useful- I am not vegan myself but my bf has lactose sensitivity so he cannot eat cheese or have regular milk so it would solve issues. The mattress is too soft. Lastly, we stayed on ground floor and the door just takes in all the noise from breakfast room. If you have loud neighbors, you will hear all the conversation.

We stayed twice at Doric House during our North Coast 500 road trip. The toilet and shower facilities were clean and well maintained. We got the ground floor room and the room was cosy and bed was comfortable. Breakfast provided was simple but sufficient. Jaime and Heather were amazing host and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Doric House. Point to note Jaime is a walking encyclopedia of Highland landmarks and history.

The pillows were a bit too soft but that is a personal preference.

Staying at Doric House was an amazing experience. The room was clean and very comfortable, the continental breakfast each morning was delicious, and the location was only a few minutes walk to the centre of town. But the highlight was the host Jamie, who was incredibly friendly and always had fantastic suggestions for things to see and do around the highlands each day. He gave us tips for all sorts of hidden spots and great walks we wouldn't have known about otherwise. With our car were we usually able to park on the street right outside using the permit they provided.

We had a wonderful stay at Doric House. The location is perfect, nice and quiet yet within a 5 minute walk to the centre of Inverness. We had a car and we didn't have any issues parking it within close proximity using the parking permit they provide. We booked the king room and both the room and bathroom were spotlessly cleaned and very comfortable. They provide plenty of amenities like tea, coffee, towels, gel and shampoo and there is a huge wardrobe to hang your belongings and units to leave your suitcases - there is indeed a lot of attention to detail in this property. The continental breakfast was great and set us off to a great start every morning. Thank you Jamie and family for your hospitality, we'll be back.

Fabulous home away from home! Jamie is full of knowledge about the history of scotland! Lots of suggestions given for things to do around inverness! Comfy bed..awesome breaky in the dining room with the other guests..parking right outside the home with a parking pass given to us on arrival! Being able to Walk into inverness was sooo awesome..5 mins Paid a small fee and our washing was washed & dried! Bonus!!

If the curtains were lined this accom would be even more perfect! Everything else was awesome!

Doric house is a very nice place to stay in Inverness. It is located in a quiet neighborhood but at the same time within easy walking distance to the city center as well as train and bus station. Jamie is a very friendly host with loads of helpful tips and information what to do and see in and around Inverness! The room and bathroom were comfy and clean. Breakfast offers all you need for a good start of the day. In a nutshell: highly recommended and we would definitely stay there again.

Jamie was an exceptional host! He welcomed us with a warm smile and made us feel right at home. His recommendations for places to visit were spot on and we appreciated the insider tips. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful - we even had enough leftovers to make our own sandwiches for lunch! Thanks for a wonderful stay, Jamie! We highly recommend him to future guests.
