Central location out of hotel to all shops, eating places and bars. Our room was ideal, we just needed somewhere to sleep at the end of the night and a good shower in the morning, so it was perfect. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Breakfast had great choices for all and the staff again were happy to greet us. Reasonable priced for a couple break

Nothing we disliked, but be aware some rooms are on the busy street side and can be noisy late at night so book a river view if you want quiet, some things are needing an update but again didn't bother us it more than served it's purpose. There is a cost to park, but parking is expensive in Inverness so we were happy to pay for this onsite parking.

This was my first stay at the hotel. I found the rooms to be spacious, clean, and modern. Everything worked well. We had a slight hiccup with our booking and the hotel staff helped us right away. I was also impressed by the breakfast that was included. This was the end of a 5 day group tour. I put together so we had had several stays with varying degrees of breakfast and we agreed the Mercure had the best breakfast. I also loved the location. We had dinner at The Mustard Seed which is a very short walk from the hotel. It's right in the middle of the town so convenient for walking. It was a great stay and I'd stay here again in Inverness.

It's not necessarily anything the hotel can fix but the street noise was a bit loud. I also felt quite hot in my room, even with the window open, but that may just be me.

The location cannot be faulted, only minutes from train and bus stations as well as the banks of the River Ness. Nearness to the train station was an essential with a late arrival by train into Inverness. As well as setting one up well for the day ahead, breakfast serving times allowed for early getaways for hikes through the hills, too. Otherwise, the room worked well with good views along the river.

There was a little confusion on the first morning regarding my pre-payment for breakfast, which was sorted by a quick check with reception. My own lack of alertness prevented me from mentioning that we discussed this on arrival too. For the sake of other guests, take care to ensure that doors close without slamming; there is no tapering action on the door closers. Here, I cannot claim innocence regarding noisy closures, but it is something that comes to mind.

The warm welcoming smile from Ak at reception much appreciated after the long trip back from London. The friendly but professional way she quickly checked me in no request to big or to small a credit to Mercure Inverness . And JoJo on the morning shift what can I say a true superstar as always professional,classy helpfully cheery friendly .helped reunite me with my glasses I left in the room when checked out . Many thanks to the housekeeping for keeping my glasses safe untill I returned for them. It's always a pleasure being checked in by these two young professionals hope they go far in this industry/company.

The reception area was lovely decorated

The room and bed were both quite small and with the bed being against the wall I had to either climb over my husband or get out at bottom of bed whn visiting the toilet through the night.

We loved the location...it was absolutely perfect for us as a young couple who like a little bit of a party but love nature, calm places and pretty views. We were able to get to the shops easily and the venue we chose for our Hogmanay celebration was about 4 doors down. Staff were friendly enough though we had minimal interaction. Breakfast was clean, plentiful and organised. The whole hotel was clean, it was quiet, even over New Year in the city centre. We have experienced the opposite in other places so it was certainly noticed!

We felt the shower in the room (319) was in need of a descale as a lot of the jets had no water flow and the bathroom needed some sort of extraction system as showers made the whole room wet. There were only 2 plug sockets in the whole room...neither of them next to the bed, which young people really do love now! It was very dark in the room, great for the sleeping part though my boyfriend had to hold a phone torch up so I could do my makeup.
