It was all good

This hotel was well represented, and the location was great. The grounds of the hotel were perfect for having a sociable few drinks. The staff was great. The only downfall we found was that after our night up the town, we couldn't get into the hotel after midnight, which we had to call a number to be let in. This isn't very helpful to people, especially if you're visiting and had some bevys. 🤣

The hotel room we received was very much standard. But nice to look at. However, the amount of DUST, which hasn't been cleaned for a long period of time, really put me off. It was a large, thick collection of dust also visible all over the side tables the phone over the bed rest. Other units. Also, not even a basic hair dryer provided, which you'd expect.

The Beaufort is a lovely hotel perfectly located, just a short walk into Inverness. The room was very comfortable and a good size. The staff were wonderful. Friendly, knowledgeable, and happy to help. We would definitely stay again.

The location was ideal and everything was of a high standard. I was particularly impressed by the helpfulness and friendliness of the staff I met. I asked at reception for a rubber ( eraser to our American friends 😄 ) to get rid of pencil marks in my diary. Unable to immediately provide one, Roslyn, not to be outdone, hurried off to the kitchen. Acting on a wartime tip from her late Mum she came back with a small piece of bread which she had kneaded into a workable size. It worked perfectly erasing all the pencil marks ! Now that’s what I call exceptional service ! Thanks Roslyn !

Nothing much to improve.

One of my favorite hotels due to staff’s warm welcome, excellent restaurant and cozy bar area. We were treated like long, lost friends by staff, had some excellent meals and thoroughly enjoyed the public areas of the hotel, which were full of Scottish charm. However, we had booked a twin bedroom that, though it had comfortable bedding, was much too small for two people plus luggage. We literally had to walk sideways around the beds to get to the bathroom. Plus, there was a little to no surface area to put things such as luggage, cosmetics, etc.. I understand they will be undergoing a thorough remodel this winter season, and will go back again due to the lovely people, and overall atmosphere of the hotel. When we checked out, it felt like we were leaving family.

Room size for double twin room was very tight. Opt for a larger room in this lovely hotel Also, walk from train station to hotel was about 15 minutes, a good portion of which was uphill. With luggage, most guests were a bit winded by the time they reached the hotel. Best remedy is a cool pint in their cozy bar. BTW. there is no lift but staff will carry your luggage up the stairs.

Was so disappointed in the breakfast prior to the cycle event. We appreciated that there was one available so early in the morning but it left us feeling ripped off. Such a poor choice - no effort had been put into providing something appropriate for cyclists. There wasn’t toast - there was porridge (once we asked for it) which was barely warm and I had to ask if there was honey. At 15 pounds a head it was a poor show which let this hotel down - I’d have given it a 10 otherwise.

The staff member on reception at time of our check in was lovely, very friendly and and helpful! We got a really nice room with a comfortable bed and was very good value for money! Also very close to town and shops which was ideal for us as we were having a meal and drinks close by!

We could hear alot of noise, what sounded like a washing machine banging and we could also hear staff in the morning very clearly - even one whistling away haha, we didn't mind as much as we didn't use the room much but it may bother some other users. Also the kettle doesn't quite fit in thr sink to fill it up

Before booking, we read previous reviews and we were a bit unsure. However, due to bringing a rather large dog, our options are reduced and we thought it was worth a try... They gave us loads of facilities to access the premises despite arriving out of hours. \ They accommodated our dog and were super friendly with us all the time. By the end of the long weekend our dog was walking around the premises as it was his home! we stayed down the pub for a drink and he took himself to bed! :D. All the staff was very complimentary of him... The room was clean and they kept it up while we were there too. Location was absolutely perfect as it was just up the hill from the centre or the river. Staff was super friendly, open and honest about any events or places worth visiting in the area. For us, personally, it is worth a stay.

Room was clean and comfortable. Both dinner and breakfast were excellent, staff friendly and helpful as usual.

£16 for breakfast is expensive, especially with an added supplement for certain dishes

Reasonable price, really excellent staff and service, nice room and en-suite shower easy to use. Good continental breakfast. Had one cooked breakfast which was good - porridge (which I asked to be made with salt, the Scottish way), and eggs benedict. Clean rooms. Nice bar/lounge and dining room. Not too far from the city centre, for walking (about 10 mins). There for 3 nights. Basically a good experience, and we'd probably use the same hotel again next time we return to Inverness.

Radiator in the bathroom didn't work, so it was a cold room and the towels couldn't dry off, but we did discover that we could turn on the radiator in the bedroom - it was unseasonably cold weather. Quite a heavy duvet for summer. Same menu (but with different specials) each day, and very few vegetarian options, although the staff then explained that some other dishes could be made veggie (but we had to ask - better if the menu had said that).
