Great location, very central could walk pretty much everywhere. Staff were excellent! Very friendly and welcoming. Car park is ok size only one night we couldn’t get in due to coming back late but there was a space directly across the road for the same price. Decent sized rooms. Good choice for breakfast, which was also tasty! Gym had pretty much everything needed for workouts and was very clean with towels and water provided. Also, comfy rooms, blackout curtains and soundproof windows which was ideal for a good night sleep! Would stay here again.

My only gripe about the property was the lack of lights in the room. During the day there was bright light from the window but not great after dark. There was a lamp in the far corner of the room and one on either side of bed which made it difficult to see well when looking for things or getting ready. The light in the bathroom was good for makeup/getting ready but not in the actual room. Not ideal when 2 people trying to get organised. Would not put me off going back though as the overall the hotel and staff were excellent.

The staff. By a long shot, the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. I had a number of unfortunate events during my stay (my daughter needed medication, my phone was stolen the day before meaning all my maps and plans did not come with me, and the chrome cast in the room wouldn't work). In each instance, staff were incredibly kind, professional and creative in their problem solving (eg, reception were able to find a taxi and instruct them to get me to the last remaining open pharmacy in order to get some much needed medication, another member of the reception team gave us some great advice for things to see/visit). Shout out in particular to James who ran through every possibility to resolve a most annoying technical issue with my room software. You are a credit to your team.

Ive learned that if you've stayed at an AC Marriott previously (and I did so in Dec in York), then the room's chrome cast will be difficult to untether from your phone from the previous stay, meaning it wont work and it will take days to figure out what the problem is. This isn't an uncommon issue, so management may want to be aware of what settings in a guests phone need to be changed in order to get the service to work. That said, I couldn't have asked for better service from the staff who worked with IT to resolve it (normally TV isn't such a concern, but when travelling with a young child, its absence is felt keenly at 8pm).

The room was very nice. The staff were very pleasant & friendly. The hotel is modern, warm & clean. The buffet breakfast was very good with lots of choice.

We had dinner in the restaurant. Unfortunately the service was very slow, even though it wasn’t busy, to the extent that our waitress (who was very nice) felt the need to offer us free desserts & coffees to make amends, without us asking. The food was below average as well. I was asked to pay for wi-fi at check-out (£5 per day). Apparently there are paid & free wi-fi options. It was completely news to me that I’d apparently chosen the paid option when I signed up to wi-fi on my phone on arrival. To be fair, they cancelled the charge without any fuss at check-out.

The hotel is located at the end of the main road near the river Ness. It's about 10 minutes walk from the railway and bus stations. All of the hotel staff from the front desk, to the breakfast and housekeeping were very friendly and helpful. The room was large with a comfortable bed, good shower and convenient power sockets with USB charging. There was a very large breakfast buffet with a large variety of hot and cold items. Eggs were cooked to order, the scrambled eggs I ordered was a very large portion.

During my 2 nights stay the room wasn't cleaned. I'm not sure if I needed to request cleaning.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this delightful hotel and was thoroughly impressed by the exceptional service and amenities. The breakfast offered was nothing short of fantastic, featuring a variety of delicious options to start the day. The staff at reception were exceptionally helpful, providing warm and welcoming assistance upon arrival. The bar staff demonstrated impressive knowledge of the local gin selection, particularly recommending the Great Glen Gin and Inverness Gin, which were both exquisite choices. Overall, every aspect of the hotel exceeded expectations, and I highly recommend experiencing the genuine Highland hospitality firsthand.

Nothing all was very good

The hotel was warm, clean and comfortable and the staff were welcoming and friendly. The bed was very comfortable, and I particularly liked the toiletries on the wall in the shower. I would definitely stay again. The restaurant was lovely and the food exceptional and the waiting staff were great.

There was a very noisy fan, I think it was either heating or aircon, which I was unable to switch off so it took longer to get to sleep but I reported it the next morning so hopefully it will have been sorted. It was irritating but it wouldn't stop me coming back. A minor thing, and I expect as a result of Covid, but it would have been nice to have some form of information leaflet. The receptionist gave me the opening times of the restaurant etc but a card maybe hanging on the wall in the room would have been a nice reminder.

I was very early for check in and was hoping to be able to leave my case, but the helpful person on reception checked the system and found an available room so I could unpack straight away. This was very much appreciated. Room was lovely, very clean and I would highly recommend getting a river view if you can. Breakfast was excellent, amazing choice, eggs to order and lovely staff, especially Sylvi who took time to chat and tell me all about their pet friendlyness - the dog menu looks fab and I’m looking forward to bringing the pupper next time. Gym, although small had everything you needed and was as spotless as the rest of the hotel, nice added touch of having towels and wipes available too! All in all excellent and wonderful value for money. I’ll be back!

Not the hotel’s fault but there was a baby elephant upstairs bashing about for a fair bit late into the evening. I’m sure reception would have sorted if I mentioned, but might be worth thinking about if you are a light sleeper

The parking arrangements were a bit disappointing. I registered my car on your system on checking in and the £10 parking charge was added to my bill. We went to a planned event in the evening and there wasn't a space in the car park when we returned. I know it's a first come first served basis but my understanding was that I had reserved a space by registering my car and making the payment. However this was not the case. I reserved our room using a debit card and endured I brought it with me. On arrival I was told I needed a credit card to pay my bill. Fortunately I had one with me. I hadn't noticed any information to this effect on your website. These things were overcome and didn't detract from an enjoyable stay I

We had a pleasant stay at the AC Hotel Inverness. The suite was spacious, and the river view was absolutely lovely, making for a relaxing experience. We were offered an accessible room, which was fine for us, but they may wish to ensure these rooms are prioritised for guests who specifically need them. The restaurant staff were incredibly friendly. The breakfast was delicious and a great start to the day. Overall, the service was good, and I enjoyed my time here. I would recommend it to those looking for a comfortable stay with great views and excellent hospitality.

The staff made our stay extra special by putting a lovely surprise in our room for our arrival to congratulate us on our 2nd wedding anniversary which was absolutely beautiful so the personal touch was lovely. The hotel room itself was huge and spotless and comfy. River view was amazing. Wouldn't change a thing.

The fact the hotel takes a pending transaction from you on arrival for the full price then charge you again on the way out and don't let you know. I am 6 days down and still no money back yet. I have stayed in many hotels and never had this before but the staff said "it'll go back in it's only pending" luckily I wasn't left short, as its not only pending when it comes to your bank balance, but someone else may be in a different position and wouldnt expect to pay twice and wait a week plus for the money on hold comes back into account. Very strange system. Other than this the hotel I would highly recommend.
