We were warmly welcomed by our host, Rosemary, who was both friendly and informative. The quaint cottage has just two rooms, and ours came with an ensuite featuring a great shower. A large modern TV at the foot of the bed allowed us to stream movies seamlessly, without any buffering. Just a short stroll away, we enjoyed a delicious meal at a charming old pub. Inverness itself is only about a 15-minute walk, taking you over the River Ness via a picturesque footbridge.

The room was on the top floor and quite cosy, with a couple of areas of lower headroom that may not suit taller guests. However, it was thoughtfully designed, complete with a fridge, and Rosemary had even managed to include a small table with two chairs, perfect for enjoying a light meal together.

Rosemary was very nice and welcoming. She gave us tips about best places in town to have a nice meal and a full higlander experience. The place was very quiet at night which made it very easy to rest after a long day outside. The cottage is from a walking distance to all places of interest, for us it was just a 10-15 minute walk from all our meeting points for our excursions. There's an Aldi supermarket just next door for supplies, a small fridge inside the bedroom and coffee and tea avaiable, as well as some podridge, which we greatly appreaciated in the mornings. I totally recommend this place for your stay.

Could not fault this accommodation at all. Lovely and extremely clean room and bathroom with amazingly fluffy white towels. It was room only, but we had a porridge pot with little pot off honey, which was a great touch, so we did not have to stop for breakfast. Mary Anne was very welcoming and told us how to get to the town and which bars were best to go to with live music. Had a perfect stay on our NC500 route. Would definitely recommend this accommodation.

We loved our stay at Paton cottage. Our host was extremely helpful and friendly, and suggested some great restaurants to visit in town. The room was small but very cute - a wonderful bathroom with a good shower and comfy towels. The bed was very comfortable, and there was even some complimentary breakfast provided for free which was much appreciated. Great location, a short walk into town and close to an Aldi to get any supplies. We will be back!

Rosemary was a wonderful host -very friendly, welcoming and helpful. The location was perfect being just a short walk to the river, footbridge and centre of Inverness. There were also cafes and restaurants nearby. The stone cottage is beautiful and one of a series of heritage terraces. The room was small but very comfortable and well appointed with a private bathroom across the hall. It was great having a street-parking permit, which Rosemary had organised before our arrival. Highly recommend this property.

Our host was so kind and allowed us to check in early. We greatly appreciated that! She also gave us great recommendations for food and accessing the city. It was such a sweet place, felt like a little apartment in the Highlands. So comfortable! Easy access to breakfast, coffee, water, and tea in the room. Great options for beverages and fresh milk in the refrigerator. Oh! Aldi right around the corner so we got snacks for our travels! Quick walk to train station and bus station across pedestrian bridge!

Rosemary welcomed us and was so friendly and knowledgeable she was brilliant, super comfy bed with small fridge coffee and tea facilities. Ensuite bathroom was great all clean and well presented felt like you were at home. The town is about a 20 minute walk with street parking right outside the cottage. Highly recommend staying here it was so comfortable and Rosemary is a gem

Our stay at Paton Cottage was fabulous! Our space was comfortable and spotless, and we really enjoyed talking with our host, Rosemary! We wanted to take her with us for the rest of our trip! She provided lots of helpful tips and suggestions for places to see and local restaurants. A 10 out of 10 in every category!

Owner was very nice and helpful. Location was easy to find. Facilities were clean and comfortable.

The arrangement of the other guest room made it such that they had to go across the hall past our room to use it which at times was noisy. A really tall person would have a hard time with the gable ceilings which were low.

The location was amazing (a short walk across a beautiful bridge to the main street in Inverness) right by the river. The hostess was lovely and helpful, even late in the evening when we arrived. The value was fantastic. There was an Aldi's across the street and the location made it very easy for day trips outside Inverness.

The bathroom was a bit cold.
