Always love having a pub downstairs especially one that serves good food. The room was small but adequate. The bed was nicely presented with towel elephants. It was also quite comfortable. The window opens for fresh air which we love. Shower was hot and strong just a little small, but they have worked with the space they had. Breakfast was cooked to order with a nice selection to choose from.

There was only room for 1 side table but we worked around that. Stairs are always an issue when you have big bags but these old buildings just can’t do anything about it and we managed.

Excellent location for visiting family. Lots of parking, right in the town and 10mins walk to the beach. Had dinner with the family here on Friday and the portions were big and good value for money. When checking in, leave your luggage in the car til heading upstairs, as the doors from the bar back through to the stairs are quite tight to navigate with luggage. Shower was great - good pressure and plenty hot water. Lots of parking, so no issue leaving to visit family and come back.

Bar/dining area was really cold throughout dinner as was the bedroom (radiator was on full). Bedroom (2) very dark due to small window (needs washed). Noisy at night due to traffic. Pillows need replaced, all 4 were lumpy so I ended up popping a scatter cushion inside a pillowcase.

Room was very large,extremely comfortable bed,only bad thing I would say is the toilet was very small and so was the shower,plus the toilet seat was squinty. We had a full Scottish breakfast which was great would recommend it to start your day,dinners were tremendous brilliant value 2 courses for £17 and 3 for £21 all food was amazing highly recommended having your meals here,quality of the food was 10/10.

Only thing was that the toilet and shower was too small plus no storage for putting your toiletries.

Great value for money. Super central location. Very nice comfy room with lovely towels, plenty of storage, tea/coffee making facilities, water and a choccie biscuit too. Very friendly staff. Easy check in and out. Excellent breakfast every morning.

Only small issue I had was no one (either booking.com or the hotel itself) told us the hotel wouldn't be open on the Sunday. One of the locals told us. We still got breakfast and had a key, but there was no food available or bar open in the actual hotel. It wasn't a big issue as there were lots of places round about to eat and drink, but it felt strange locking and leaving, feeling like we were potentially responsible for the security of the building. Triple checked the outside door was locked.

Powerful hot shower. Comfy bed, huge pillows, super soft duvet and sheets. Lovely service. Good full breakfast. Great location. Clean and good parking. Lovely warm lighting next to the bed. Felt very cosy and snug.

Can be noisy in the front bedrooms as it's on the main road, but easily solved with foam earplugs. Would need an eye mask if sensitive to light when sleeping as the curtains were not blackout. I opened the wardrobe door and used it to block out the curtains more which worked really well.

The warm and friendly welcome. The room was plenty big enough, the bed was really comfy , we even got chocolate biscuits for our coffee and tea in the room. The food in the restaurant was excellent, Connor is a treasure, he took the busyness on his stride, always friendly with everyone who came in. Guy even went out of his way and cooked my fish without batter, despite being busy . It was a real pleasure staying in The Albert Inn, and we will most certainly will come back. So convenient too , that the bus terminal is right around the corner from the Hotel.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Albert Inn. The bed was super comfy, the shower was spacious, and the room was clean, practical, and well equipped with everything in good working order. Breakfast was a lovely surprise—there was a range of cereals including gluten-free options, lactose-free milk was available, and the full cooked breakfast was absolutely delicious and so filling I ended up skipping lunch! Friendly atmosphere, great comfort, and thoughtful touches, could not recommend enough!

Perfect for friendly local hotel. Bar and restaurant are very good. Staff and locals that call into the bar area are friendly and chatty. Food in restaurant is great value for money, and you know it's great value when the majority of table bookings are locals that love the place and book regularly. Breakfast was excellent. Chef Very proud on even the layout on the breakfast items evenly spread and very tasty. FIVE STARS.

The shower was a bit leaky as the seal might need to be replaced.

Very friendly welcome, in the bar. Where we relaxed with a drink before going upstairs to our room. The room was large and bright with a huge bed. There was also a good size TV. Not the usual laptop size, found in many hotels. The Albert Inn serves bar meals. Their special offer menu had a good selection at excellent value for money. We both enjoyed our choices. The inclusive breakfast was served in a dining room and was equally as good. The location, just off the main through route, is in the centre of the town and close to beaches and harbour. We could see the main road but there was no traffic noise.

We were very happy with everything. There was a fairly narrow, steep staircase up to our room, but it was not a problem and we are in our late eighties.

Double rooms were a good size and the beds were extremely comfortable. Although the en suite shower rooms were small, the showers themselves were superb! Our host was very friendly and served up a great breakfast. Although there was a public bar underneath, I wasn't disturbed at all.

Slightly roomier toilets would be nice......I had to sit 'side-saddle' on one of them! Although you couldn't hear any noise from the bar downstairs, it was very easy to hear noise from adjoining rooms. If you have one of the 'front' rooms, facing the A96, you do hear a lot of road noise.
