There are so many things that we liked about our stay at the Invernaine that I dont know from where to start. From the ample parking space, to the spacious room, to the amazing well kept garden with the secret pathway to the nearby beach. The host was extremely welcoming. The rooms were spotlessly clean and spacious. We were blessed by very good weather and this complemented a lot our stay. Breakfast is very good and well varied. There is an amazing bar which we didnt have time to use but I can imagine it would be great in winter. Also I cannot forget the location. The location is just 30 minutes by car from the city of Inverness.

Ryan, Carol and their team were exceptionally gracious, kind and helpful. We arrived late. Restaurants were closed. They helped find a fabulous pizza place that delivered. Thank you. This comfy guest house has a gorgeous, large living room like area with a stunning ocean view. Not only does it feel like home, it has a full “honor bar”. Yes, grab your favorite Scotch, beer or whatever, mark down what you selected and enjoy. I’ve never seen anything like this. What a classy touch. Room was pleasant. Breakfast was good too. Hotel was walking distance to The Bandstand Pub, Royal Bengal(you must go here) and a nice restaurant called The Classroom. Pro tip. Ask Carol to make a reservation for you as restaurants will turn people away. This hotel is right by the beach and has plenty of on site parking too.

I wish that I could have stayed longer

We loved so many things about this property, I'm not sure if I could ever list them all! I was traveling with my 75 yr old father and my 2 teenage boys and we stayed in the Dulsie and Grigor rooms. Everyone loved the stay. When we arrived, we were greeted by the most wonderful staff member- she showed us around and helped us make dinner reservations at a restaurant that was a beautiful 10 mins walk from the hotel through town (Aurora Restaurant, which was incredible!l!). We walked down to the beach through the back gardens and along the seashore, taking in the stunning sea views. After dinner, we played cards in the lounge with drinks from the honesty bar. The rooms and beds were probably the most comfortable of our whole trip. Overall, this wonderful hotel has treated us like royalty, and we truly hope to come back again soon!

All staff were smiley and very helpful, particularly the lass who looked after our breakfast on both mornings of our stay. Probably the cleanest place at which we have ever stayed. Our suite room was spacious and comfortable and the curtains opened to a fantastic view of the sea. Our almost clinically clean bathroom was equipped with the usual facilities, plus a large jacuzzi bath and lovely separate shower cubicle. A short path led down to the coastal path and the beach, with an easy walk to the harbour. We could go on and on and on but suffice to say that we can thoroughly recommend a stay at Invernairne.

Only thing we didn't like was that we hadn't booked a full weeks stay.

1st time at Invernairne for the Nairn Highland Games and it did not disappoint. Beautiful property in beautiful location. Clean and comfortable room with excellent facilities including honesty bar. Hot and cold self serve breakfast a little chaotic depending on number of residents. Staff courteous and polite and generous owner who waived our bar bill due to breakfast delays. Will definitely stay here again rather than Inverness.

Most expensive place we stayed in but overall worth it. No option for evening meal.

This place was wonderful. Staff was always helpful and super friendly. Big shout out to Carol who went above and beyond in her helpfulness and extreme friendliness. She was super engaging and had great tips. We had a rough trip in and she gave us a room with a lot of quiet so we could get some great sleep. She is absolutely wonderful! Rooms were comfy and lovely. The honesty bar was fabulous and fun to sit and play cards at. Breakfast was delicious. The location is perfect. Walking distance to town and restaurants and the beach.

The property was fantastic, the location, perfect, our room had the most amazing view from the window, our bed was so comfortable and warm, it was hard to get out of it in the morning. The staff were so lovely and the breakfast, delicious. The residents lounge, and honesty bar was a great asset

The only tiny complaint I would have, would be the lack of tea making facilities in our room. There was a courtesy hot drink machine, but we are tea and Coffee lovers, and the machine didn’t cut it for us. This however is a very small point and would not put me off returning

The staff was incredibly friendly and made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. My room was very comfortable, providing a cosy and restful environment. The hotel's location is excellent, with easy access to nearby attractions. I also appreciated the convenience of onsite parking. Overall, a wonderful experience—I would definitely stay here again!"

We were unable to get dinner as all four nearby restaurants were fully booked, which was a bit disappointing. This place provides the contact numbers for the nearby eateries, find time and book in advance before arrival.

As a lone traveller, single rooms are often squeezed into awkward places, but not at The Invernairne. The view was stunning, over the Moray firth and up towards the Cromarty and Dornoch firths. Could quite happily have sat and watched the tide ebb and flow. Clean and well looked after with a welcoming, comfortable atmosphere. Well appointed bar, great views from bar, with good selection of games for guests.

Nothing really. Maybe a tattie scone at breakfast if I’m very picky, but really, the breakfasts were good too.

Beautiful guest house set in a lovely area with direct access to the beach. Rooms are very spacious with comfortable beds. Family room was great with little alcove area with curtains for single bed. Everything was spotlessly clean. The lounge and bar area was perfect for watching the sunset. Breakfast was really well cooked, everything fresh. Nairn is a lovely town with amazing beach, we will definitely return to Invernairne.

Not much but could have had some more vegetarian options at breakfast and possibly some potato scones 😋
