The property was great, very well thought out. Separate swimming areas for families and adults only. A lot of little bars a cafes. Rooms are very spacious and renovated. The beach is right outside the property with hotel umbrellas and chairs. Staff served drinks on the beach all day long. A lot of activities during the day (there is an app with listing updates each day). The hotel personnel were very nice and friendly, managers were accommodating. The lifeguard on the beach was amazing, really knew what he was doing.

Only one negative - public bathrooms really need renovations.

Excellent place! Bigger than you think. Food was really good and plenty of variety. Room was very good and comfy. Loads of sunbeds so wasn't a problem getting one. Loads of sunbeds on the beach, beach was really good and had a life guard on all the time. Would come round and deliver drinks. Really good adults only pool and eating areas. Would definitely go here again!

No self service soft drinks, had to ask for them. Didn't refill our mini fridge twice. Not all the swim up rooms are equal, some have massive pools some have tiny.

Our second stay at Atlantica Caldera Palace. It is a truly brilliant hotel for families. The Tui run kids club is superb, offering 2-hour sessions in the morning and afternoon for no additional costs (3-12yr). The also run an evening kids club a couple of times a week from 6-8pm. There is a baby club for infants, which is chargeable. The rooms are really spacious, comfortable, and clean. Room air-conditioning is also excellent, which was needed during our stay as temperatures were around 33 degrees. The food again is excellent, a great variety, very fresh and great options for kids both at the dedicated kids section and from the general buffet. The evening entertainment was generally good, depending on what you're into. The pre-show kids' entertainment is good and gets young ones engaged, adding to the overall family holiday experience. Good selection of pools to choose from with many rooms having access to private pool or on lazy river style areas. We split our time between the adults only pool areas (when son was in kids' club) which are very chilled with nice facilities and the kids' splash pool, which again is excellent, he thoroughly enjoyed this area. Another plus is that the hotel is right on a sandy beach and has dedicated sun loungers for hotel guests as well as drink service on the beach. The beach is very clean with lifeguards on duty. Decent free WiFi throughout the hotel. As far as all inclusive family holidays go, this is the best we have experienced.

The room was clean and modern with a nice view of the sea and site from the balcony. The minibar was filled daily. The food and drink options were good in all of the restaurants and the staff were very pleasant and friendly. In short, we loved our stay. We loved the tex mex, steak and Italian restaurants. Overall we felt the food in the buffet was very good and the Greek BBQ was great fun. Its a lovely hotel and our first time in Crete. We would definitely go back to the hotel.

Our only complaint was we had used all our credits for the restaurants and on our daughters birthday (as it was at the end of our 10 day break) she wanted to go to the Italian again. We were prepared to pay but we weren't told prior it would be 50 Euros x 3 adults and 25 Euros for the child. For spag bol and pizza this was excessive per head and we should have been given a heads up and we would have eaten off site for half the price.

The overall experience was great, people were friendly, facilities are cleaned (they clean the room twice a day). A lot of tasty food, nice swimming pools and beach. Good programme for kids and juniors. Also, really enjoyed the quizzes in the evenings. Mexican restaurant was delicious.

While the animation team was super friendly and nice, having some other entertainment in the evening except for singing/ musicals would be nice. Since 95% of the guests are British, maybe that’s the kind of entertainment they prefer but for us it was a bit repetitive and boring in that sense. Other hotels on Crete had better evening programmes. Lastly, the Asian restaurant was not tasty at all.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The room was nice and big, there were lots of pools and we found the restaurants good quality, even the buffet was pretty good. We travelled with our 2 year old and it is definitely a great family hotel.

There is a policy that you cannot “reserve” sun loungers by throwing a towel on, but it is not enforced in the slightest and every one was doing it. It didn’t ruin our trip but I might think twice if going in school holidays. The wait staff at the main buffet restaurant seat you and immediately take your drink order, but good luck getting a second glass!

Loved the variety for families, beautiful family pool and also a splash / kiddie oriented pool at the back of the hotel Lovely room, perfect for our needs. Gorgeous view and perfect location. A la carte restaurants were great

Salt water pools meant we didn’t get to spend as much time in the nicer family pool as the salt irritated our daughter’s eyes despite wearing goggles. Breakfast options could have been better , the pastries for example tasted quite stale a lot of the time. It would have been lovely to have more fresh fruit available at breakfast such as melon watermelon etc

The best hotel close to Hersonissos. Rooms perfect for families also for couples and singles. Guest 90% British’s no Russian no Ukrainian so is great and no drama with with it👍

Nice beach, many swimming pools also adults area ewe where included with restaurants. Lovely animation for everyone. Very rich all inclusive including with drinks whatever you want. Hotel staff the best so nice and helpful. Rooms with see view great ( bedroom, living room and bathroom - bath + shower ) . Rooms preparing for night and 2 times cleaning per day .

This hotel has something for everyone. It’s a great all rounder. The food was good, the drinks were nice. The hotel is essentially run by Tui I’d say 90% of the guess are English. The staff work extremely hard all day long and everyone was very friendly and helpful. It’s busy but didn’t feel overwhelmed. Our room was spacious and clean.

All the pool are salt water bar the indoor pool and the kids splash pool. The hotel was built 18 years ago and some parts are quite dated.

The hotel was very nice. Although it was a big resort, the room was exceptional large, and the services felt very personal. Tui had various activities and day tours, which added more adventure on the holiday. The indoor heated pool was excellent. We also had a taster massage, which was amazing, so I will recommend the spa

The evening entertainment wasn't the best. The live singers at the lounge bar could have been better. We enjoyed the 21:30 show, but that was the only event for teenagers and adults. They have a lot of outdoor Pool area, unfortunately we went on the still chill season, and as the pool was not heated, we couldn't enjoy the outdoor pool.
