Breakfast was included buffet style English breakfast and continental. Tea coffee applejuice cranberry Freshfruit, yogurts. Bread that you can toast and jams . Yes plenty for all .

Nothing we didn't like ..

Very nice room, bed was super comfortable. Nice bathroom. Restaurant was decorated really nicely and staff were friendly.

Only issue with the bathroom, wanted a bath after a long hike and the plug wouldn’t work so it kept on draining, only worked if you kept your foot on it. Breakfast was quite cold the first day, wasn’t very enjoyable. Much better the second day, nice and hot and overall several good options. Food was generally very overpriced for what it was in the restaurant. I know it’s a tourist place but both myself and my partner felt it was very overpriced. (£19.50 for a standard portion of scampi and chips).

The property has recently been re furbished to a very good standard. The food is to a good standard with plenty of choice at breakfast. The staff are very pleasant and helpful.

The rooms although new and adequate are quite tight with little room for manoeuvre. But just enough. The room tariff is not cheap but does include breakfast. My biggest disappointment was the expensive evening meals and drink. A pint and a large wine was over £16 a time making it an expensive evening out.

Extremely dog-friendly. Room was extremely well decorated, furnished and very clean, with excellent bathroom facilities also. Room also had its own rear-door access direct to car park which was extremely useful. Meals were high quality, with plenty of varied choice, and choice of meal table very flexible, both indoors and outdoors. Vast majority of staff were extremely pleasant, interested and helpful

Just one member of breakfast service staff let all of the other truly superb Inn staff down. This one individual was extremely sharp and rude regarding which breakfast service utensils to use, and this was very obviously a repetition of past behaviour as other staff colleagues commented openly, in an attempted humorous way, regarding such past similar comments to customers. Unacceptable and needs management action.

Location was fab plenty to do.breakfast was lovely

Didn't like the layout of the room as the television is in the wrong place to chill out on the bed and watch it so got a stiff neck. Mattress and pillows need updating were lumpy and uncomfortable

Evening meal3 small spring rolls bit of lettuce £9 50 made us smile scampi chips very nice though.

Every thing was great, from the breakfast to the room and staff, we enjoyed every minute. Extremely lovely location, just fabulous to have drinks by the lake. We will definitely be coming back.

Nothing at all.

We had three nights in the Windermere Rooms At The Wateredge Inn, enjoying an excellent breakfast each following morning. The toom was as spacious as the pictures showed, with a huge and comfortable bed, enough tea and coffee for any couple and everywhere was clean. The bathroom sparkled. Service was always friendly and helpful. I remarked even before leaving that if we wanted to visit Ambleside or Bowness again we would choose to return to the same hotel, so enjoyable was our stay. Located right at the water's edge you can sit looking over the water as you have a drink, take photos of the lake when you wake, in daylight or during the darker hours when it looks truly stunning. And a very short walk, steps not minutes, takes you to the pier from which the cruises can be boarded. An excellent break on all counts.

There was nothing not to like.

This was the first time we have ever taken our dog with us to an inn and we were not sure how it would go. This inn was perfect! We stayed in Windermere rooms just over the road from the Wateredge inn where you go for breakfast.Plenty of room for dog bed and we liked the sofa. The breakfast here is excellent but a great plus are the friendly staff who made us and our dog so welcome. Very close is a large park which allows your dog to have a great off lead run. Some interesting Roman ruins can be seen too. A real eye opener for us with our dog. We extended our stay which says it all!

Lovely location with a spectacular view and very comfy room with good facilities. The water in the showers is piping hot. Everywhere was spotlessly clean and lovely and warm.

Checkout is quite early compared to other places I regularly stay(10am). The restaurant was nice but extremely busy so food didn’t come that fast (they did make us aware of this when we ordered). Food was good but portions not very generous for the price. In our room there were no plug sockets that weren’t used up by appliances and none near the bed - this was easily solved but a bit of a pain.
