The hotel is in a good location just a few minutes from the railway station. All attractions are within walking distance. The breakfast is included in the price and there is a good choice. Some items are homemade which is unusual.

I was allocated a budget room at the front of the hotel. It was quite small but ok. The problem was noise outside during the night. The first night roadworks outside at 2.45a.m. and the second night people making noise up until 5.15a.m. I asked if I could move and Tina on reception was very helpful. I was given an upgraded room (so much better than the budget room) at the back of the hotel and there was no noise at all.

We had a superior king room which was spacious and comfortable. We were over a main road which was quite noisy so we could not leave the windows open until late. The hotel is undergoing works but that was not too bad. The location is very central and the bus stops are right outside the building. The restaurant was closed for dinner. The breakfast was the best on our travels, We were there on Sunday and the breakfast room was very full and we just managed to find a table. The choices were amazing.

There is nowhere to pull up outside the hotel. We were in a car and had to illegally park to unload our cases. We booked because there was onsite parking. We were not advised that the parking was not available due to the building works. We had to drive about 10 mins to the car park (we got lost) which was in a shopping centre. Being Saturday we struggled to find a park. The drive was much further than the walk back to the hotel. It would have been good to know all this before we arrived.

Breakfast among the very best ive had in all my travels, it was Nordic inspired but still covered any predeliction you could think of. The staff was friendly and great even during insane peak times.. The night manageress a really warm and welcoming character that I had some great short conversatoins with. But all staff a real PLUS to the establisment.

I struggle to find any minus.. I never called for service in the 4 nights I was there, so maybe have 2 main towels instead of one and some smaller hand towels. A fridge in the room would take it to 10.5 stars out of 10 but I know there is a lot of extra work involved.

Late arrival. Lady receptionist was very friendly, enabled me to use the parking garage for my motorcycle overnight despite it being closed for building work. Room perfectly sized for solo traveller. Left too early for breakfast. Location was smack bang in the middle of town. Mean exploring really easy. Great City to visit.

No view but then it did not advertise one. Would have been stuck for parking if Receptionist had not gone above and beyond providing great service. Hotels need to amend their facilities list when things like their parking garage is shut.....

The breakfast was excellent in terms of both quality and variety. The staff was friendly, and solved the parking payment (at the shopping center) quickly and efficiently. Very good service.

There's always room for improvement, and since the hotel is undergoing renovations, we look forward to our next visit. It would be cosy to have art in the room (a painting or a photo from the city, for example).

The single room was very comfortable; I was pleased to have a kettle and mug. Breakfast was great, with enough variety to choose from, in a pleasant room (although very busy - probably a good sign that it is a popular hotel). Staff were outstanding in their welcome and help with plans.

The room was facing the main road so it was very noisy. In the middle of summer, it was hot in the room with the window closed but very noisy with street sounds when it was open.

Cleanliness, friendly, helpful and professional staff. Great breakfast. Water boiler for tea and coffee in the room. Nice sizable single bed.

The location, view and cleanliness. Close to the intercity train and bus station.

The location was great, really close to everything. The personnel was really kind and the option of leaving our luggage before check-in and after check-out was really useful for us. It was nice that you could have at our disposal all the time water with lemon just in the lobby. You could also rent bicycles from the hotel, or umbrellas, so in terms of facilities I would say it was really great.

The breakfast had the same things all the days that we stayed in, nothing changed, not even the fruits. There were not so many options for vegan people, also the vegetables were not that many. And some of the ingredients, the vegan cheese I think was not so fresh, maybe not that many people requested it.

We have stayed at The Mayor before, usually staying twice during the summer. It is close to the railway station, central and has a friendly Danish atmosphere.

In past years I have looked forward to the Mayor´s breakfasts which have been varied, good and plentiful. On our present visit we experienced a complete change in what was on offer, I imagine because of some trend or policy, which I confess I did not investigate. To be honest we much preferred the breakfasts of former years.

Loved the location and the views from the large windows out over Aarhus' streets. The lobby was very nicely decorated and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The room was cozy and worth the cost.

The bathroom had an odd smell but it wasn't a dealbreaker. The shower did not have a light and instead relied on the light from a frosted window, however I arrived at night so that was not ideal. The proximity to the train station did bring with it some noise but nothing absurd.
