A very good location with a metro station 3/4 min walk and a tram stop outside the entrance. A warm welcome and friendly staff. Breakfast was ok, the usual pastries, cheese, meats and bread. I would stay again, purely for the location, but in a different room

The room was disappointing. Though furnished nicely, the window looked out onto a brick wall. This meant that no light came into the room. It was as dark at 830 am as it was at 11pm. The Wi-Fi did not work in the room. When I told the gentleman at reception, it connected immediately so he was quite dismissive. Our last evening, I enquired if our room was the only one without a connection to be informed there was another one, but it had been fixed. They said I should have said before so they could rectify it. To their surprize, I explained I had but the gentleman seemed uninterested. For what we paid, it seemed expensive compared with other places. Perhaps it's more expensive in Milan?

A more traditional hotel in a good location for exploring and dining: several trams stop just in front and a moderate walk to the Garibaldi stazione gets you to several of Milano's fine Metro lines; on the ege of the big Chinese community, there are lots of Asian eateries across the street and further into the area (very nice Vietnamese restaurant just across the street from the back door), Italian places are near (Trattoria da Franco 150 feet north is good and very welcoming), as well as nearby places such as a Cairo Street Food shop, some Korean places, and on Via Mauricio Quadrio there's a Brazilian food store as well as a hole-in-the-wall Greek taverna which produces good Greek basics at modest prices. Carrefour Express just south around the corner. A charming small hotel, older and discretely modernized (good bathroom, quick hot water) comfortable bed, a nice breakfast selection, an attentive and pleasant staff.

Google Maps kept giving directions out the back door instead of the main entrance - but I guess that's Google's problem.

The hotel is located not far from the centre, tram stop is just in front of the hotel, metro station is 5 minutes walk. The room is rather small but everything worked well. The air conditioning was working well, both heating and cooling. The bed was comfortable. Cleaning was done every day. The safe was not working well but the receptionist gave me the key to that, so there was no problem with the safe. Breakfast was tasty, not a very large choice to choose from but everything was tasty and fresh. All the staff were very friendly and helpful.

The only downside is the bathroom. Bathroom is very small, and the shower box so tiny that it was very hard to use it.

The hotel is a short walk from Porta Garibaldi, an easy train ride on the Malpensa Express train. The location is wonderful as it is in the border of Chinatown and Porta Nuova, both vibrant areas with culture, food, bars, nightlife, etc. The hotel is beautifully decorated, our bedroom was on the top level (level 4, and they have a lift too!) and it was large, with a very comfortable huge bed (I think bigger that a California King, huge) and with an ensuite, aircon, bar fridge, and all the trimmings of a 5* accommodation. Breakfast was included and it was amazing! Great espresso cofee, juices, breads, meats, cheeses, pastries, cereals, yoghurts, fruits, cakes, etc etc etc !!!! Wow !!! Seevice was also friendly, helpful and attentive to our needs. Strongly recommend to stay at Hotel San Guido if visiting Milano !!!

Nothing... or perhaps that we could only stay 1 nught in our holiday plans!

The staff was very friendly and nice. They are there 24h7. The room was spacious and had a very efficient climate control unit. The location of this hotel is very nice. Right beside china town. The visit to the near by cemetery is also very recommended. The breakfast is basic, but good.

Unfortunatly, the hotel did have some renovation work. We were not able to open the window. I hope after the renovation the stay will be even better. At first the instructions about the AC unit where not clear. After talking to the staff it was all ok.

I stayed at this hotel with my wife and 4-month old baby, and the staff were wonderfully friendly and accommodating to us. The room was generally clean and they provided a cot for us after we had requested it during the booking. The staff at reception helped us get our pram in and out of the hotel and even store it safely when we found it difficult to take it with us up and downstairs. The location is excellent for getting around Milan as it is a couple of minutes walk from Monumentale (M5) and 10 minutes from Porta Garibaldi (M2, M5, suburban trains etc.). There are good restaurants in the neighbourhood too. Breakfast was simple but tasty and more than sufficient for our needs. The room was a good size for a city hotel in this area, and the bed and bath/shower generally comfortable.

Some improvements could be made to the fixtures and fittings in the room, as some of the handles were loose and the doors quite squeeky (not ideal with a sleeping baby).

Good room for solo traveler who needs a place to sleep overnight and breakfast. The breakfast was very good. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Nice location. Close to the trams and buses. And very close to the "Asian Eat Street" with a number of amazing food options (and boba tea!). Hotel has an old charm, but updated. Room was clean. Nice little balcony to step out for a view.

Bed was a little stiff for my preference. And only 1 pillow so of you're a person who needs multiple pillows it won't be as comfortable.

Hotel San Guido is conveninently located close to the train station Garibaldi and chinatown (5 mins walk). There is a tram stop right in front of the hotel that takes you close to the Dumuo and Galleria. The breakfast was great with sweet and savoury offerings, which is a rare treat in Italy, as most accomodations provide only sweet pastries. I enjoyed the coffee, and the endless chatter of the kitchen staff in the mornings :D.

Comfortable bed, balcony, free water in fridge, air con quiet, nice helpful staff and handy location. Hotel is located in Chinatown so plenty of restaurants to chose from. Good choice of local trams to get you to the city centre either right outside the hotel or across a couple of blocks.

Hotel decor needs a refresh. There were only 3 clothes hangers so asked for more. Tap in bathroom needs attention as lime scale at back of tap outlet causing flow to be disrupted. No USB ports and the electrics looked old/need replacing, switches had a lot of ingrained dirt on them too which could be easily cleaned off with a little more attention to cleaning detail.

we had a late night checkin and didn’t receive the room with a Bath as requested. Hotel staff acknowledged the oversight and moved us into another room the next morning. Good service! Comfortable firm mattress, good nights sleep. Quirky hotel and breakfast area, nice basic spread from juices and cereals to cold cuts and cakes. Tram stop right outside the door. Overall a great value for money!

The first room we got had a tiny tiny bathroom. Glad we managed to move rooms!
