- Location. It was a stone’s throw away from Milan Central station and we could get wee hours train rides to other parts of Italy! May suggest to get this accommodation as your base stay for Italy. Relatively easy to go from the station to the accommodation. Less than 30 mins to city central. - Our host, Mr Fabrizio (pardon if I misspelled his name) was welcoming and hospitable! He was engagingly informative while introducing us to the place. It was such a warm welcome to Italy after facing an almost pickpocket experience at the airport. - Spacious place - Adequate amenities and facilities. Didn’t expect the complimentary snacks and world charger adapter! May I suggest to remove the TV in the bedroom so we can use the mirror as dressing table😅 - Comfortable pillows and bed - Smooth check-in and check-out process - The lift!

It may just be us but there was some odd smell from the room. Not a bad thing as perhaps we’re just sensitive. May be nice to have room air refresher. Otherwise, this accommodation is highly recommended! We would love to stay again if we visit Italy.

Great location just 10 minutes level walk from the station. Staff were friendly and helpful. Shops and groceries nearby. Easy train ride to the centre to visit the Duomo, Galleria and other attractions. Free use of laundry in basement a bonus. Apartment on first floor is lovely, clean and spacious, has blockout shutters and faces a quiet internal courtyard

The lack of kitchen equipment. No toaster so had to toast bread in a frying pan. Teeny lift but we still managed to fit 2 of us with luggage. The lovely lady at reception helped us carry our luggage up a few steps to access the lift. A ramp would be a great addition

Pet friendly apartment-hotel, in a central location and with very friendly and welcoming staff. Private parking is also available. We would definitely come back here again. Grazie Mille!

The sound proofing to the upper floor in particular in the bedroom could be improved as we were hearing intimate moments from another couple …and we had to explain to our dogs 😆

Location is quiet and is 5 min walk away from Milan Centrale train station. My apartment was on the 4th floor which i like on a high floor. Its big, spacious, and comfortable and clean. It felt like a home in milan while away from home. Although no 24h reception, I felt very safe with the double security door. The beautiful nostalgic lift in the building centre is very cute, it felt like I've returned to a previous era. There are shopping, restaurants, Cafe, bistros in centrale station. I bought bottled water and food from there.

A little difficult to communicate with the staff on the after hours phone line. It was annoying as a very simple question was not listened to but only after giving out a contact phone number per request. Even then, the staff was mistaken about my next day check out for check in. So what's the point of asking? Housekeeping was missed on day 2, a weekday. Despite all these which I think were minor issues, I would still return to stay here as its very comfortable, safe, and convenient.

5 min from the main railway station, the apartment is located on a quite street in nice historic building. It has an elevator, which is great advantage. The administrator at the reception was super nice and welcoming! I was provided with inner-yard looking apartment which was great for a quite night sleep. And there was welcome snack and water - such a pleasant touch. Apartment has everything for comfort stay including big fridge, safety box and comfy bed.

The bathroom facilities and furniture are a bit tired but super clean and very well taken care of.

Residence De La Gare offers space and convenience close to Milano Centrale - the main railway station. Our host was excellent in showing us the quirky elevator (another bonus). All up, a good option for those using the railway station for arrival or departure. We took the bus to the airport on our departure and it was also close by the railway station. We also liked the fact that there are so many food options, including a supermarket, in the railway station itself. The Metro line into the Duomo is also handy, but be vigilant against pickpockets - we lost a few euros after being stung by a small group who delight in creating confusion in the metro train doorway. We loved the small box of snacks. We would stay here again!

The only issue we had was difficulty in finding the place, so perhaps clearer directions for visitors might be helpful, along with some good eating options and how to located the supermarket. We found the bed quite hard in contrast to all others on our trip through Europe, but this is a minor niggle - we could have slept on anything :-)

Fabrizio is an excellent host,met us at the property and showed and explained everything. No communication issues whatsoever. All our requests have been dealt with promptly. Property itself is very convenient from every point of view - proximity to the main train station, to the subway and trams, supermarkets and etc. Everything is within walking distance. Rooms are spacious and clean, facilities (once again!) very convenient too. Beds are good - a bit on a firm side, but that's how we like it. We'll definitely stay there next time around.

Clean well maintained apartment

This was a nice apartment in a good location. We were a 5-minute walk from the main train station. Two subway lines are withing easy walking distance. The unit was well maintained and well equipped with two separate bedrooms and a nice sitting area adjacent to the kitchen. Management provides some welcoming drinks and snacks. The restroom was spacious by European standards.

What I didn't link is really minor. The building is older and the doors to the rooms don't close well, and they also interfere with the ability to get into and out of the rooms. This is because the size of the bedrooms is generally small. So, opening and closing the doors while standing next to the bed requires some minor foot shuffling. Overall, this is just a minor annoyance at most. The other issue is that the shower leaked a significant amount of water on the floor. Another nuisance, but not the worst thing that could happen.

Perfect location for visiting of Milan. Walking distance from Central Station where you can get shuttle bus from and to Malpensa airport even at midnight. Metro station just around the corner, 2€, 15 minutes journey to the very center. Kitchen well equipped. Comfy bed. Reception open till 6pm but after hours self check-in possible on request. After check out you can leave your luggage until 6. If I go again to Milan I would surely book the same hotel.
