The surroundings were vey good- although the kitchen looked out to the sheds? There was an issue in the night with a water pressure issue making a noise all night which did not exist in the day- odd and annoying. Other than that bungalow was good, Breakfast main was excellent- although the buffet was lacking for such a superior establishment- not worth the money . Pool was lovely but floor in ladies changing rooms had mud on it- and toilet was poor. Overall a very pleasant stay- I would definitely come back - a few issues which let an otherwise superb location down.

As above.

It was lovely. Room was excellent. Location was great and there was a lovely walk to Cromer.

We normally don’t pay as much as we did for accommodation but the place looked really good. The one thing that annoyed us was the shower didn’t work at all. I rang reception and an answer machine said they were too busy to get the phone. We were both undressed ready for a shower so getting dressed again a going to reception and there being a possibility they were to busy we decided to leave it. Spoke to a man at the end of the night in the bar and he said “we do have problems with that shower “ with not much of an apology. We were both very unhappy.

The location was fabulous and the hotel is lovely! Staff very helpful. Room was very cosy. We had breakfast which was great! Enjoyed a swim in the pool and the fact that you could walk from the hotel on to the coast path and to the beach within minutes.

Only little quibbles. The room we stayed in just looked a little dated but very cosy and clean. The pool although I enjoyed my swim needs a little TLC especially the changing rooms. Music would be a nice addition for those swimming alone. Breakfast charge of £17.95 each if you don't book through hotel was disappointing but know for next time.

The grounds are gorgeous, set around a wide range of accommodation from glamping tents to historic rooms. The indoor pool was lovely, and the kitchen gardens absolutely delightful. The food and drinks were wonderful. The staff were all really helpful. We stayed in one of the chalets which was spacious, airy and had a fantastic bathroom with disability/accessibility features built in.

This was our first time visiting Cromer and we opted for a cottage at the Grove. Upon arrival we were pleased to find ample parking outside and were met by a hotel staff member who walked us over to the Stable Cottage. There was an open-plan kitchen and dining area alongside the living room which had comfy sofas and a large flat-screen tv. Upstairs there were two bedrooms, perfect for 3 adults and both had plenty of storage space, mirrors and smaller tvs. The bedrooms were clean and cosy, beds were comfy and it was so quiet and peaceful. The bathroom was quite small but was fine for us. The hotel grounds were beautiful and we walked around a few times, visiting the allotment and there was a path to the cliffs and beach. We had drinks in the hotel lounge and enjoyed a tasty three-course meal on our last night. The staff were very attentive. The hotel is a 10-minute walk to the beach and there are restaurants nearby. We ate out for breakfast everyday so I can't comment on the hotel breakfast. There's not much to do in the immediate area other than walks and visiting the beach or little town centre in Cromer but a short drive out and you can visit neighbouring towns and cities. Overall our stay was fantastic and would certainly return again.

The upstairs of our cottage only had loft windows so we couldn't see out of the cottage from the upstairs, but had a nice view of the trees! Also one of the loft window blinds didn't shut fully so it was quite bright in the room in the early hours. We would have appreciated more hooks or shelves in the bathroom as there was a lack of space to store things but this wasn't a huge issue. It's also worth mentioning that the parking area outside the cottage was quite muddy as it rained during our visit. Also the walk to the cottage was also muddy upon arrival so wellies might be necessary! Lastly we would have appreciated a thicker curtain on our cottage door as the neighbours could see right into our kitchen area as we shared the outer door.

This was our first stay at The Grove, we hadn't been to Cromer for 10+ years and thoroughly enjoyed it! We stayed in The Cottage, which was absolutely lovely. There wasn't anything we went without and had a wonderful stay and will definitely be coming back again. We were greeted by a lovely friendly lady at reception who showed us to our accommodation and the next morning we went for a swim in the pool. Having it to ourselves was fabulous it was perfect and nice and warm. The location is great for walking into Cromer, and we also went through the wooded area and did the cliff top walk as well, we didn't want to come home! The Grove is such a lovely place, I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for somewhere to stay in Cromer.

The beds are very comfy, the bath water is super hot and good deep bath. The food Nissan of good quality along with the beverages (wine)

We are returning in the future with family. We stayed in the coach house, which is perfect for a couple. There could be some better extra touches to the cottage. The Velux window need a very good clean on the exstirer around the frame, as there is a lot more build up of cobwebs and muck when they are opened. The shower needs up-graiding as is now very powerful at all.

Breakfast was great, if a little on the expensive side. We booked through booking.com and the breakfast was free if you booked direct. This was extremely disappointing as it added and extra £70 to the cost.

The cottage was excellent, but a few issues with cleanliness, lots of cobwebs and the work surface in the kitchen was dirty in one corner on arrival. Shower was average, poor pressure and the water took a while to heat up. It was a perfect size and the rooms were extremely comfortable. The price was fair for the quality of the room. Only let down by the minor cleanliness issues.

Lovely area to walk around and explore, the room was a very nice size, lovely free standing bath, big shower, big TV included in the room was lovely.

It was very warm in the room and we got told upon leaving there was a thermostat in the room (however we looked and didn't see it) lights kept flickering but wasn't a major issue. Outside the room window we had (8) we had the view of a roof top, this could be made a little better by some fake shrubs/flowers, for the price of the room it would be a nice touch to look out and see something other than a roof. Breakfast wasn't included in our stay at almost £200 for 1 night we feel it should have been included in the price.

October 2024

I have stayed at The Grove before so knew what to expect, but this room was my favourite so far. It was lovely to be able to leave the window open, even in Autumn and listen to the rain in the trees. Staff were super-helpful - it's been a long time since someone just picked up my bag to show me to my room. Nice touches. I love the info bundle that shares a little of the family history of the place. I didn't eat, so can't comment on food. I did swim, and love that they slot-book for individuals or parties to have exclusive use of the pool.

There was nothing I didn't like.
