All staff were so kind and helpful; has 2 private beaches; has 4 different areas for snorkeling: breakfast 7:15-10 at restaurant on the beach - fresh fruit, breads, omelette station, yogurt, cereals, many savory choices; hotel provides a free shuttle at specific times each day; free truck shuttle into town 3 times each day: 11:30, 1:00, 2:00; free truck shuttle from Mae Haad pier to resort: 11:40, 1:15; at other times a taxi costs 400 baht; bathroom has rock/pebble floor - feels like a massage; towels were soft and large; room fridge stocked with cold water, soda, sparkling water and alcohol - each item has a price; bed has mosquito netting; floor to almost ceiling windows/door; shower has great pressure and plenty of hot water; outside terrace with view of ocean and 2 lounge chairs; 2 umbrellas in room; 2 bottles of free drinking water provided in room each day; bed is soft and comfortable; bed has 4 pillows; so very quiet - we stayed in A11 and there are 3 rooms in one building and we could not hear our neighbors; spa is quiet and clean with many choices available; enjoyed eating at open-air restaurant near beach; free kayaks, life jackets and lounge chair/umbrella; provides beach towels; snorkeling mask and fins available (100 baht for mask and 100 baht for fins)

Some of the room walls need to be touched up; no mosquito racket in room or at open air restaurant; some areas have a run down feeling; in room very little options to hang dry clothes; limited options in room/on patio for hanging wet clothes; some cockroaches in room; that there was a 100 baht fee to use fins - should come with mask; no fan in room; no screens for doors to terrace - unable to hear ocean and feel breezes at night; we stayed for a week and still had to pay for snorkel masks and fins each day - would have appreciated a ‘deal’ such as for every 3 days you stay, you get a free day of snorkeling gear

It was a very cool remote location. The bed was comfortable, there was a nice shower and a nice view. Staffs were very friendly and helpful.

Wellness services such as massage were very pricy. The breakfast location was very lovely, but the food was average.

The room has absolutely no storage places. We went there with 2 backpacks and didn’t have a lot of stuff and still struggled a lot. Just can not imagine what it is like to stay there with a luggage..

Beautiful location with an amazing view and beach. The snorkelling on the beach was absolutely amazing. Nice villas and facilities, helpful staff. Overall would recommend.

The location of the hotel is beautiful but also little bit difficult. The hotel offers shuttles to the pier and back which was helpful but not very flexible so we had to rely heavily on taxis as didn’t want to risk an accident on the bike. The restaurant could definitely do better, the food was at best mediocre and we preferred to eat in the city.

Great view on the ocean, cristal clear water around the resort and a lot to see under water. For snorkeling fans, all around the resort is a top spot. The staff was great and very supportive. There are several free transports to the pier offered - as it's far to walk to reach the next village this was higly appreciated.

As the resort is far to walk from the village, there is only the possibility for dining in the resort's restaurant (good, but more expensive) or in the beachbar of the coral view resort. But you will find there everything you need, both restaurants are doing a great job. As the resort is built on steep rocks, there are lots of stairs necessary to connect the beach with the rest of the resort. People who have problems handling stairs will probably face some issues here.

The location is incredible. Waking up with the sound of the sea was magical, with so much green and nature around you. The small beach had an incredible fauna, we have never seen so many fishes and we were so stoked to see small sharks and turtles. We also took some of the classes that the resort offers, and we had such a lovely day waking up with yoga in the morning and learning a bit of Muay Thai in the afternoon.

The receptionist that welcomed us was very unpleasant. He had a lot of attitude, seemed bothered to even answer basic questions, didn’t explain much about how the facilities works and was very rude later on the phone, when we called to mention that the room was not ready when we arrived - no bedsheets on pillows, no towels in the bathroom. The restaurant quality is extremely low. Apart from the food which, unfortunately, is terrible - fries were uncooked, sandwiches were barely edible - we also had dirty cutleries. That being said, the restaurant staff was extremely friendly and helpful.

As a family of 5 we had two sea-facing rooms with an additional mattress at a surcharge. The rooms were clean, stylish and had good aircon. The view was amazing. They had a reasonable restaurant on site and a bar with a private beach. We loved that it was quiet and away from the busier streets. The snorkelling was amazing. They offered activities daily and the yoga was great. There is an on site Spa. The staff work hard and are friendly and attentive.

Taxi's to and from the resort are necessary especially with kids. Scooters and walking not always at option. The stairs are definitely good for fitter younger people. Not sure what people would do who have trouble with mobility. The pool could do with a wind break (maybe just our time of year) to protect it more from the back wind.

I can’t say enough about how incredible our stay was! This resort offers an experience that goes far beyond a typical beach vacation. Even as someone who doesn’t usually do yoga, I found myself eagerly attending classes every day for a full week — the instructor Amy and the beach views and setting made it impossible to resist. The yoga sessions were truly world-class: inspiring, accessible, and set against a stunning tropical backdrop. The breakfast each morning was absolutely amazing, with fresh, healthy options that energized the start of every day. Beyond that, the resort offers a range of unique activities that you rarely find all in one place — from rejuvenating ice baths to exhilarating Muay Thai training, plus DJ happy hours that perfectly blended relaxation and fun. The location is unbeatable, with easy access to multiple beautiful beaches, each offering fantastic world-class snorkeling — my favorite! The resort provides kayaks and all the water equipment you need, making it effortless to explore the island’s breathtaking coastlines. The grounds themselves are a paradise — beautifully manicured trees, vibrant flowers, and lush greenery everywhere you look. There’s a fantastic swim-up bar where you can lounge and socialize, and a convenient shuttle into town if you want to explore further. The on-site spa offered some of the a variety massages, and the restaurants are great — offering a variety of delicious, fresh dishes. What truly sets this place apart, though, is the vibe. People from all over the world come here, creating an amazing, welcoming community. Koh Tao itself is a very special island, and this resort captures its magic perfectly. We can’t recommend this place highly enough and are already looking forward to coming back!

Very good hotel with beautiful private beach. Great service, good breakfast , polite and helpful staff. Comfortable bed with picturesque view. Nice pool with great view. We love our stay at Sai Daeng Resort. Nice spot for snorkelling and kayaking. The resort also provides shuttle bus to the town. Highly recommended!

Lot of steps, we were lucky that we could change to Deluxe Beach front room which is next to the restaurant and the beach. The easier way to get up to your uphill room is via the spa and fitness room. The trees in front of our room obstruct the view. Maybe you can trim some to get better view from the room. Restaurant staff are super nice and polite but sometimes they got our orders wrong.
