I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. It was about a 15 minute walk from the train station, but close to the cathedral and castle. It is older, but everything is in good working order and it was clean. It had a lot of things that I have not had at other hotels in Scandinavia, like breakfast included, a kettle in the room, a lift and a reading lamp. Also had luggage storage. I could see the castle tower from my window!

The curtains didn't keep a lot of light out, but I always travel with an eye mask so that was okay. There is no air-conditioning but you can borrow a fan from the reception. Breakfast only started at 7:30am on the weekend which was a bit late for me.

Great people (personel) - very helpful, professional and naturally friendly. Very nice, easy going atmosphere. Very nice breakfast room that later during the day is a coffee/tea room. Nice seats with a nice view through the windows. A little bit more comfort in the rooms would be nice, but on the other hand it is a budget stay in perfect location in the city center so I do not complain about anything. I recommend to everyone who wants to stay few days in Uppsala (worth seeing). One more time - great people.

This hotel is located in central Uppsala, great for visitors arriving by train or wanting to have access to the center of town. It is run a little bit differently from most hotels--if you arrive after the reception desk has closed, there is someone on call who will walk you through the check-in process by phone. Guests are expected to be somewhat independent, but the hotel has everything you need. Breakfast was lovely, with lots of options.

The room was comfortable, but it lacked blackout curtains, which really seems like a necessity in the Swedish summertime!

The hotel is very conveniently situated in the centre of the city in a rather quiet street, within 10 min walking distance from the Central Station. For breakfast there was a variety of both sweet and savoury delicacies. Coffee and juices from coffee machine were available 24/7. It was great that after a hectic day we could rest on the sofa before the corner window and look at the people go by.

If there was a refrigerator available it would be the best place to stay.

The breakfast were perfect , variable, tasty food and wonderful bread! Staff was attentive to our requests. Location is goo, although a little noisy especially in the late evening ( drunk people on the street) and in the early Mornings( garbage collecting trucks).

No shelves in the bathroom, no space to place our toiletries because of that. No even small fridge, cattle or coffee machine in the room. Only one stool for 2 people in the room.

I liked the care the receptionist took to meet my dog and provide a drink bowel for him when I had forgotten mine. I appreciated having access to tea and coffee throughout the stay.

I did not like the loud street protest outside, but that has nothing to do with the hotel. Other than that don't expect the place to be a 5 star hotel that serves a 5 star breakfast. It is clean, comfortable, and provides a delicious but simple swedish breakfast.

The best thing about the hotel was the location. It’s right in the middle of all the sights. The tap house across the street was my favorite sight. The breakfast was simple and good.

The size of the rooms were a bit small but it was just a place to sleep. Also the common room was big and has coffee and juice if you want to just hang out. The parking was expensive and was all sold out while we were there so we were forced to park on the street.

I observed an unpleasant detail how the table was set : serving spoons and forks were put ON the pile of food like slices of cold meet and cheese. It means that when custemers use spoons and forks they touch the food by their fingers and while releasing their grip by returning the spoon contaminate the food again! There must be space to set the utensils in between the serving plates. Breakfast room was croudy.

Very friendly staff. We could check-in earlier and there was no problem with the late check-out. Great breakfast with a vast range of food and beverages. Free beverages all day long in the lobby.

Nothing to complain about. My room standard wasn't the highest but it was good enough

The location is really good for exploring the city on foot (cathedral, castle, botanical gardens, etc). It was not super expensive as other hotels. The hotel room was perfect for me as a solo traveler. Would definitely stay there again if I go back to the city.

Breakfast could have been better but it was not bad at all. There was no hot food (scrambled eggs or bacon) but that was not exactly a problem for me as there was plenty of other food (different types of bread, etc) to eat.
