Planned for two nights and one full day in Nerja as kind of a “rest” day. Had no idea the downtown section was so beautiful. If the weather had been a little warmer, we would have walked up and down the road to the beach and the beachfront restaurants and never discovered the old town. The Happy Hour in the bar was incredible though.

Hot tub? More like a “lukewarm tub”. Was told not to use the bath towels at the pool. Searched pool area for towels but were to,d one had to go to front desk to get them. At the front desk was told that I had to leave a 10€ deposit, per towel, cash. So, I had to go all the way back to my room to get cash. Why not just charge deposit to the room? Pretty inconvenient.

Breakfast is amazing and loads to chose from, friendly staff in the breakfast room, did not use the pool as we walked to the beach most days, Reception are amazing and very helpful the book library is gret for travelers who prefer books to a kindle

Bar is lovely but unlike the hotel is very clinical also it shuts down early so a walk back from town and a drink is a no no

A lovely hotel with a nice atmosphere. Peaceful pool area, never too busy and plenty of sun loungers. Sun terrace also nice. Pool bar does nice food and drinks. All the staff are very friendly. The hotel is clean and modern but still with an authentic Spanish feel. Really enjoyed our second stay at Villa Flemenca & would stay again. 10-15 min walk into the centre/balcón and 5-10 min walk to the beach. We had a nice balcony over looking the pool. Breakfast had a good selection and tasty. There is good shower facilities you can book when you depart which is very handy.

The rooms are a little small but who spends time in their room on holiday! Beds are two twins pushed together one was super soft and the other firm, which was not good (we don't like a very soft bed) not sure if other rooms are the same. Breakfast is 9-11 but if you get there after 10 there is a lot of stuff not replenished.

Reception at check-in very friendly and helpful. All staff in fact very friendly. The place is kept really clean by chambermaids, ground staff etc. There is a pool area with plenty of sun loungers and bar serving food and drinks all day. The solarium is very clean and quite, no pool. There is a bar serving food and drink into the evening with outdoor seating out front, however as the hotel is on a nice quite street noise is not an issue, we’ll certainly was not for us. There is a mini market across from the hotel which is a great additive for water etc. The hotel is about 15 minutes from the Balcon and five minutes from Burianna beach. Our room very clean, bright and private terrace.

The one minor issue is that there was no full length mirror in the bedroom. Breakfast had everything you could want, however perhaps a little more variety on the fresh fruit.

Villa Flamenca is a lovely hotel. The rooms are nice and clean but small. The large wardrobe was useful though and the beds were comfy. We had a very large bathroom with a jacuzzi bath which we weren’t expecting but I know most other bathrooms were small. The breakfasts were amazing with such a great variety, even having British sausages, lovely bacon and eggs made to order (even poached). The rooftop area was nice and peaceful too (when you couldn’t get a sunbed by the pool) with a cool jacuzzi. The snack bar was lovely (it runs through to the front of the hotel) and happy hour was good although it only included a few drinks such as beers, wines (I think) and spirits- no cocktails. The pool area is lovely with music playing sometimes but very quietly which was good.

The pool area opened at 9am and people were queuing to go and put towels down on sunbeds. This was a bit annoying not being able to get a bed after this. The location of the hotel is fine with a few bars nearby however it is about 20 minutes walk to the centre which could be a bit far for some. It’s also at the end of the town where the beaches are low down with steep hills or stairs to reach the beach. We requested a room looking into the pool but on arrival they said our room had been allocated. We had a slight view of the pool but our balcony was filled in and therefore no view when sitting down. Breakfast could sometimes be very busy which could be because non residents were allowed to come in and pay for the breakfast.

The facilities exceeded our expectations. Fantastic pool and pool area. Fantastic bar which is inexpensive and has a great 'Happy Hour'. Attractive fountain and decor in the reception area. The room was small but had everything needed. The fridge was stocked and all the contents are only €1. What a bargain. This hotel is at the high end of 3* and I definitely recommend it.

The bathroom door has no handle, just a round grooved out section which is not easy to use plus it would be a bacteria and germ haven. The balcony door is VERY heavy and difficult to open/close even though we are both fit and strong. My mother would not be able to open/close the door. The aircon does work but is not very powerful which was OK as it is November

The hotel arranged our taxi from/to the airport. When we arrived and throughout the stay the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was superb, catering for all diets inc Gluten Free. The hotel is spotless! For us it was a great location, as we could walk down to Burriana beach (10mins) or into the town (20mins). There are 2 food shops in close proximity and a 3rd just up the hill on the main road. If you dont like walking the hotel will arrange taxis for you! Happy hour was a great way of meeting other residents which added to the friendly experiance of the hotel. We loved it and will be coming back.

Very disappointed with space in standard room as it’s very small 15sq really small. I asked and was informed that only standard & classic rooms are available on Booking.com site. Very cramped, restricted access to wardrobes as literally against locker & bed. You can only book other rooms directly with hotel. Room facilities

Absolutely loved our stay! The hotel is cozy and beautifully designed in charming Spanish style. Everything was spotlessly clean, and the atmosphere was incredibly calm and relaxing. Perfect for a peaceful getaway. The highlight was definitely the breakfast – fresh, delicious, and simply the best we’ve had. Highly recommended!
