Pehn House is a great hotel for the price. The view from the roof terrace is fantastic. I LOVED that part of the hotel. As with many hotels, the biggest lack is shade around the pool and terrace. There was nowhere to get out of the sun other than in the restaurant (not enough umbrellas). If they added umbrellas and shade it would be a huge improvement. But I highly recommened this hotel otherwise. At night by the pool: spectacular!! I also liked watching the street from our little balcony, which also was very private and quiet despite overlooking the street behind the hotel. Not a five star hotel (hence not a 5 star rating). But if you're not on a 5 star hotel budget, this gets you pretty close.

Another bonus of adding sun shelter would be there would be more places to sit in rainy season during a rain. Many visitors to this region appreciate being able to be outdoors (folks from snowy winter places like me) so a good outdoor space is much appreciated and actually not having one is a deal breaker for me in terms of coming back.

Penh House Hotel is ideally located close to many attractions (Royal Palace, riverwalk, sunset cruise) and with great restaurants and shops nearby. I highly recommend this hotel for visitors (like us) who are new to Phnom Penh because there is so much to do within walking distance or a short tuk-tuk ride. The hotel is beautiful, and spacious, with good public spaces--a rooftop restaurant and bar, a nice-sized pool, a decent gym, and an attractive lobby area. Everything is exquisitely clean and well-maintained. The staff are amazing--welcoming, gracious, and thoughtful about making sure guests feel cared for, including remembering our names and small preferences. Wow--I'm impressed!

The staff was amazing, even before we got there, they were so helpful with our booking. The scenery of the hotel is sooooo pretty !! They really did an amazing job for that. The room is spacious so is the bathroom. The balcony is an absolute must ! We ordered in and had dinner there with my partner, it was such a nice moment. 10/10 ! Plus, balconies are a lot more private then in other places, absolutely loved it.

The shower door doesnt close properly, so you'll put water everywhere. Not a huge problem tho, still a great bathroom. Breakfast is a little bit effortless compared to other hotels in the same price range in the area. Ladies from the yoga class who come have a dip in the pool in the morning with their gym clothes without taking a shower, were not a vibe.

The spacious room and ensuite bathroom include a lot of amenities, toiletries and well-thought out details. There's AC and a ceiling fan. I did not experience any mosquitoes in the room now during the wet season. I did not use the rooftop bar&pool but it's cozy and has good views of the city. The staff is very attentive and ready to help. The location is close to the royal palace and areas known for the restaurants/cafés within 10ish minutes walking. Overall I would recommend it but I'm not sure it's value for money.

You need to be aware that the AC makes a lot of noise, like it was using heavy machinery to operate in the ceiling or something, and it will disturb you during the night. It's not the typical wall-mounted unit. Bear that in mind to cool off the room and enjoy your stay :).

An elegant hotel in a central area of the city, close to the Royal Palace. We had a lovely stay here, a highlight being the roof top restaurant, bar and infinity swimming pool. Several evenings were spent enjoying a drink and looking out over the city from the rooftop bar. Breakfast was very good, coffee and egg dishes made to order and a good selection of fresh fruit. The room was large with a balcony just big enough for two chairs and a table. The room was extremely clean and refreshed each day. We very much liked staying here and would return should we ever visit Phnom Penh again. Thank you.

This is a nice hotel & well located . The rooms were spacious & well appointed . Nice reception area with helpful staff . The food & drink offering was good , served nice European / Chilean wine at very reasonable prices per bottle . Both dinner & breakfast were taken & we were very happy with both . We loved the pool it was so nice to come back to after a long day sightseeing & was open until 10p.m . We were able to watch a movie or on the tv one evening by signing into our Netflix account ! We would definitely stay here again .

The hotel is very conveniently located near to the Royal Palace and central to most of the tourist attractions of the city. It is very quiet once you are inside. Even the room which had a balcony on to the street was quiet once the doors were shut. All the rooms are soundproof. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The rooms were beautiful and you could see they had been renovated with love and to keep a feeling of the original features and decor. The toiletries provided were very nice too I had a massage at the spa which was lovely and very good value The swimming pool at the top of the hotel was an added bonus as well. The breakfast was delicious and a good selection was offered. Cocktails and beer at the bar in the evening highly recommended with a city view!

It was all fantastic

Everything was amazing. Located behind the Royal Palace among the shade of trees lining the streets. Beautiful hotel with large spacious rooms and very clean. Comfy beds and comes with all the toiletries. The Rooftop pool is incredible, good size where you can actually swim with enough side beds to accommodate the guests. Great breakfast with good selections and good coffee. Staff are amazing, always smiling and happy to help with anything you need. The best part is the value for money, well worth the price you pay.

Only a small thing but I think they could use more plants in the pool area. Flowers to add some colour and Frangipani's to give extra shade.

great place, great people, great breakfast all and all one of my favorite places to stay in Phnom Penh. The location is close to the Royal Palace and the waterfront for a nice evening stroll. The rooms are quiet and don't heat up too much during the day. The pool is great as well and a nice view from the rooftop restaurant

Nothing comes to mind really. During the hot season (40 degrees) the rooftop can be quite hot and there is no other place inside to have diner or breakfast. Regardless even during those hot days the fans do their work and you are in the shade so it should be bearable

The Pool was excellent. It gets the sun all day so it can be difficult (impossible) to get shade in the very middle of the day. There was never any problem getting a lounger. The staff were all excellent and helpful. I ate in the restaurant every night and food was good. There are lots of little places around so I will do more exploring next time. I liked my room very much. It was worth going for the slightly better option, I had a nice view.

As I like to read a lot, both the bedside light and the balcony light were very poor. The hotel arranged my taxi back to the airport which at $18 is double what you pay so it's worth keeping an eye out for the tuk-tuk that's often on the forecourt. Finally, with just one lift, it can be a bit of a wait if you're not able to use the stairs.
