Location, breakfast, big room

Although the room is big (deluxe room), i did not like the bed, must be already slept on too much. Next morning I was very stiff in my back. This in compare to the comfort room I now have (after I went to another city and came back, I have a smaller and less expensive room), where the bed is much better. Also I did not like the decor in the deluxe room and the fact there was no closet to hang your clothes, although the room was big enough for that. The walls were painted with dark blue and this made the room very gloomy and dark. The comfort room is in this regard also much better, with white walls. Next time I will not choose the deluxe room, even though it is bigger, it is not more comfortable in my opinion.

Nice location on top of the hill. Vintage building. Good breakfast. Nice comfy bed. Clean room. Comfortable terrace and indoor bar / restaurant. Only 3km to the City Center, very easily accessible from the A28.

The room was uncomfortably warm and humid when we arrived due to last week's weather, but there was no airconditioning installed. When breakfast elements went out of stock, they were not properly replenished (pasta, honey, coffee, it all took ages and at some point I even attended the waiter that they needed to restock).

Breakfast was amazing so was the service and staff. Our room was excellent and Dutch clean. Liked the interaction with the staff and history of the Amrath Hotel in Amersfoort 1942-1945. Being bilingual the young trainy at the bar also all staff where speaking excellent English so my Canadian wife felt at home. Thank you.

Staff support at breakfast how initially operating the coffee machine etc. Help of staff to help guest with glasses for juices and food etc. Direction signs of car pick-up or drop off guest at main entrance. Easier drop off by car at the to small main entrance. Parking problem for guest pick up.

very clean, spacious and modern rooms, comfortable beds, elevator, room access with keycards, 24 hour reception, free on site private parking (lots of spaces), very nice terrace outside (we had some local beers), nice and helpful staff,

elevator was a bit slow, got a lot of reminder e-mails about checking-in before arrival and paying city taxes (I found this part a bit annoying), upon arrival activating keycards did not work the first time so I had to go back for a second activation, a 30 minute walk to the center area of the city

Breakfast was excellent. Super varied and complete! It was truly a continental breakfast, Dutch style :D The hotel was very well maintained, fancy and it kept its traditional style without falling apart. Congrats for up keeping it. Hope to return, it was a good break from Utrecht tiny hotels with exorbitant prices. I recommend staying here :)

Just the shower is transparent, which makes it awkward when you are traveling with someone who is not your partner, but other than that, all good!

Nice surrounding, and cozy room. The breakfast is great. Free private parking lot. Center at walking distance, on a nice and quiet road. A cheap paid parking nearby if taking the car to the center.

The matrasses were too soft for us. The two different pillows too thick and too rigid. There wasn't refrigerator in the room. There's sufficient water pressure but the shower seems to be with some eco-stop making sure that not so much water is coming out.

Nice hotel with good food and a history.

I did not like the deluxe room. I liked the comfort room better, because of the bed being better. The one in the deluxe room was too soft for me. Deluxe room does not have a closet even though being a big room. And it was very dark because of the dark wallpaper. The comfort room was much more lighter although small. But I only needed it for sleeping so for me a small room is ok. So different rooms different opinion from me.

Characteristic hotel in beautifully green area though still close to the central train station and city center. Really affordable last-minute deal, lovely staff, gorgeously comfy bed and even a balcony for a morning coffee in the April sun! Very pleasant.

Oddly, less clean than one should be able to expect from a four-star accommodation. Basic vacuuming, bed arrangement and toilet cleaning activities appeared to have been skimmed over, unfortunately. Made me feel a bit itchy and slightly uncomfortable at first, though gladly other aspects were as clean as one would hope. My guess is that this was an anomaly in usually ship-shape conditions at this hotel.

The room was clean and warm and the bed was comfortable. The in-room coffee a pod capsule machine and it was good, proper coffee.

The shower really needed to be treated with bleach. The grout lines had a lot of black mildew on them and the seals on the shower were pink. A dose of bleach, left for an hour and then a good scrub would soon get rid of it all. The other strange thing was we were supplied with bottles of hand wash, body was and conditioner, but no shampoo.

Hotel was easy to find, the bus 56 departs every 30 mins from the Amersfoort station. There are no shops around the hotel but lovely areas to walk and enjoy nature. Hotel rents out electric bikes and its in a beautiful area. Amersfoort old city is also well worth a visit.
