Our stay at the Bluebird was all around decent. When we arrived one pool was closed for treatment and during the week that switched to the other pool. There are nice lounge chairs and ample towels. They close the pool at dusk so there is no late swimming. Our room was clean and neat. The location has easy access nearby to good breakfast places and restaurants.

The minimalist decor in our room left us with nowhere to put our 3 suitcases. There was also a fancy kettle in the closet area but no outlet to plug it in. We brought our own coffee maker and had to bring in an outside patio table to rest it on something close to another outlet. I hope the management can add some hooks to the walls so future visitors have somewhere to hang their clothes/ beach towels/ bathing suits, etc. Also, it’s a renovated motel and you can hear people around you. Our neighboring room visitor was filling their cooler with ice by taking multiple trips to the ice maker one morning. We could also hear people walking above us. I’m sure our neighbors could hear us!

The location was great, beds were super comfy and it was spotlessly clean. Loved the pool, and the beach was an easy 6 min walk away. The staff were so friendly and helpful and gift shop was a delight. We travel with our small cavoodle dog and the Bluebird had him covered too, treats and a cooling bandanna as part of his stay was the icing on the cake. We will be back for sure and highly recommend The Bluebird as a top notch stay when on the Cape.

There is nothing I did not like, however, if you are light sleepers request a second story room as there is a bit of noise transfer between floors.

We stayed there years ago when it was the Colonial! Love the updates to the rooms ( especially the flooring, no carpets!) Pools were great, beds were comfortable..rooms nice and clean. 👍🏻

Would have liked if the blinds were able to be raised from the bottom as well as dropped from the top.. the rooms are dark with the blinds drawn.. which is necessary for privacy.. if we could have left the top open it would have been nice! So Lighting would be the only thing I think could use a tweak!

Overall, we really enjoyed the atmosphere with a nice pool area and rooms that were quaint and comfortable for our stay. The front desk staff was friendly and they certainly kept things clean.

The room was a bit small for the price and did not have many amenities, like enough trash cans, hangers, etc. The staff was mostly good, but it appeared the pool staff spent more time enjoying the complimentary guest coffee then actually doing their jobs. This should have been better supervised.

The housekeeping staff are cleaning Ninjas! A helpful front desk, a safe town with restaurants near and shops not far. A family haven. Two pools makes it prime for summer fun.

The only thing I didn't care for were the wood chips in the drive of the cottage we rented. They ended up being tracked in the cottage and our cars.

Loved the indoor and outdoor pool. Also, loved that we could walk to a few restaurants for breakfast and dinner. OH, and our dog got to come with us!

Not a very helpful front desk. No brochures or maps, not much of a welcome from front desk staff, and no one is available after 6 pm. Thank goodness we got to meet the manager who filled us in on things that were available (smore's packages in office, things for my 11 year old grandson, etc).

Decor updated and well done. Staff came in daily, cleaned, and brought fresh towels. Many thoughtful additions in rooms including wine glasses, wine opener and higher end shampoos and soaps. We traveled with our dog and she received a treat bag upon check in. Facilities very clean. Pool area beautiful.

No coffee in rooms. Extra $35 a night charge for dog. The AC system was a little strange. And very loud.

Just coffee was provided in the lobby. However great breakfast restaurant in walking distance. Also within walking distance to very small public beaches. Parking would cost $30. Pool area wonderful! Large indoor and outdoor pools as well as hot tub. Towels provided. Lounge chairs clean and comfortable. Covered seating area lovely. Beds in room were comfortable.

The room was dark. Black floor tiles were dreary and not sure how easy they are to clean. Definitely not enough storage in room or bathroom especially for 4 people. If you needed to dress in the bathroom, there was nowhere to set clothes down. No hooks for towels, no place to hang wet bathing suits.

It’s beautifully remodeled, the pool area looks great (it was too cold while we were visiting for pool time). They have both single rooms and cottages with gas fire pits in between. It’s a very cozy place with many beaches and restaurants around. The staff is wonderful and very helpful with suggestions of where to go and what to do.

You could hear some of the neighbors in the other rooms at times.
