Breakfast was exceptional. As were all the staff. Maybe the best breakfast I have had at a B&B. Everyone was friendly and willing to make your stay as welcoming as possible.

The only criticism I have is the standard of cleaning. Dont get me wrong it was tidy, but its starting to show its age, and the cleaning standards in the room were well below my standards. The robes are a nice touch but we didnt use them as they look old. The main issue was the room cleaning, there was dust in places, the carpet however in our room was terrible, It clearly hadnt been hovered correctly if at all. Im not a clean freak but I dont expect a room carpet to be covered in hair. With a good hover and a carpet washer the room would have been close to amazing. Shame a couple of little things that could easily be rectified let it down.

Plenty to choose from for breakfast from cereal, toast or several choices for a bigger breakfast. Menu for lunch or dinner was excellent with plenty to choose from. Food was hot, tasted delicious and the portions were of a good size. The staff were friendly and they knew what you like to drink before the end of the first day. Even got to see Tyson Fury who had a meal in the restaurant with his family. The garden outside was big with plenty of tables. Was lovely to see the children pop in with their parents for a drink after school. Pets are also welcome

Our room was at the front and the window was held open with a wooden block of sorts. The room temperature was set at 24* and at night it was pretty hot so the window was left open overnight and the flow of traffic woke me up every so often. The room was clean and the bed pretty soft. Day before we left the cleaner only removed a used glass, didn’t replace the towel we left on the floor in the bathroom (as it had black marks on it) just hung it over the shower glass and didn’t even bother to clean the sink. Didn’t make the bed either. Other than that the bathroom was clean and shower/bath gels bottles were provided free.

From the moment we arrived, the staff were helpful and attentive Our room was beautiful as was the ensuite and very clean. We didn't know where to park so my husband popped in the hotel and a nice young man came out and showed him. We needed some help with keeping the sash window open and the same young man showed us what to do. At breakfast a very helpful member of staff took our orders and was very quick with my coffee and my cooked breakfast, which was delicious. When we were ready to leave ,a very helpful lady took our suitcase downstairs for us .

I can't think of anything.

We came across The Morecambe Hotel by chance. And it is wonderful. At first glance, it is a simple building, but inside it is so cozy, harmonious and beautiful - both the restaurant and the rooms. This place definitely had an incredibly talented Designer who felt colors and textures at the highest level. Textiles, wood, furniture, expensive high-quality plumbing... Perfect, harmonious, everything in moderation. Selected paintings and ornaments. You won't feel this in words until you try it yourself. Very clean all, restaurant and room. Comfortable beds with high-quality natural textiles, a calm, quiet street, I finally really got a good night's sleep. An open courtyard with access only from the restaurant with tables and a playground is just a luxury, and parents can relax and children have a place to have fun. The Chef. Really delicious dishes and very refined presentation. The breakfast, of course, simply won us over, it was a surprise for us. Breakfast is included in the room rate and each dish is prepared by the chef to the choice of each guest, this is in addition to the buffet style. And of course, this place is made by hardworking people - honestly, I have never met so much care, kindness, peace, openness and simple humanity as here. This place deserves to be marked with all the awards many, many more times. Prosperity to you all and your guests! Thank you all very much for made my break amazing and come back me to life! Thank you all in this charming hotel.

From my record you will be aware I travel a lot internationally but do not complete survey forms. This hotel should receive an exceptional rating and therefore I break my usual practice to give it one. First of all it normally does not accept guests arriving after 10pm as per booking.com conditions. I was arriving from the Isle of Man by ferry which did not arrive at Heysham until 11.30pm but by agreement they accepted me at midnight with no extra charges. The hotel has no lift but my cases were taken from me and delivered to my room. The same service was provided on leaving but despite proffering a tip it was rejected stating it was their pleasure to be of service. Being vegetarian breakfasts tend to be very hit and miss. I am sure you will guess this was a hit with an excellent range of choice suitable for both Vegans and Vegetarians. So impressed I asked to see lunch and dinner choices which were equally excellent. Simply honest friendly service which was much appreciated.

Room could have been larger but this is nit picking on my part. A reasonable price for what was provided.

What a lovely hotel, its exterior doesn't really do the interior justice. Decorated to a high standard throughout, enhancing its' pre-Victorian history. Well-positioned, approximately 200m from the seafront, with bus stops close by for travel to Lancaster or the West End. Free parking was a bonus, just yards across the road from the hotel. Friendly, well-presented efficient staff. My room was lovely, comfortable, clean and fresh with the bonus of a luxury wet room. The breakfast was excellent - plentiful and well-presented. My room was on the top floor up four short flights of stairs - something to note for the less able, but I am sure help with luggage will be readily available if needed. I have stayed in many guest houses in Morecambe over the years but this is by far the nicest and worth the extra money, compared to what I have paid for the average B&B's there. I would definitely stay again, book with confidence.

Nothing, all good.

Good breakfast with plenty of choice. Good evening meal with selection of beers. Excellent shower with toiletries, including a shower cap, which is much appreciated. The room was warm with an adjustable thermostat. Tea, coffee & biscuits provided. It was good to have an iron & ironing board. Slippers & gown provided, nice touch. Staff lovely. Nice view of the bay from the bedroom window. Plenty of parking opposite. Beer garden for summer. A nice old building.

Room was noisy as the old sash windows let in passing traffic noise, but quieter at the weekend. The bed was small for a double. Pillows good, but duvet too hot. Would have liked to see porridge on the breakfast menu.

Clean and comfortable bar area. Good location 2 mins from promenade. Staff excellent/friendly. Only had breakfast food wise but that was good. There were lots of ‘locals’ having lunch/dinner, so guess that was good too. A good sized garden with some apparatus for kids. Private parking. Complimentary toiletries.

Nothing really, although if I was being ultra picky, maybe room could benefit from a quick spruce up decoration wise (loose toilet roll holder and some paintwork needing attention) but this did not detract from the overall coziness of the hotel.

Lovely clean hotel. Great central location. Friendly staff. Nice light breakfast room. Lovely breakfast.

Only minor negative was the wet room shower. Plenty of space to stand, but no shelves in the shower to put your products. I'm not a fan of wet rooms because the whole bathroom floor potentially gets wet and becomes an ice rink. We were told there was a bath mat in the cupboard in the bedroom but that really needs to be hanging up in the bathroom for when you inevitably forget to take it in with you and it's too late.

There were 6 of us and we all had different variations of the cooked breakfast and we all enjoyed it. My only (minor) complaint was there wasn't any natural yogurt to have with my weetabix but it did not impact our overall satifaction. Hannah was excellent from the point of check in until leaving.

We were on the top floor and it was really hot due to the great weather we are having at the moment. We had to be conscious of not banging our heads on the tiled beam in the bathroom due to it being a loft room.
