The staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is an unusual mix of condiments, chopped veggies, elk meat chili and cereals. The elk with green chilies is tasty, but kind of unusual for a breakfast entre. The hotel has a nice heated indoor pool.

Not walking distance to anything. A car is necessary to access downtown and other areas of interest.

Though an older property, it is being upgraded, and for a family or active older couple, ticks all the boxes - comfy beds/pillows, good AC, quiet, plenty of entrances to get you close to your room, a lovely large deck overlooking the lake/mountains, parking, WIFI, and a truly authentic "Colorado Mountain" breakfast. The Elk Jerky Green Chili is fabulous, and there are so many options - yogurt, cereals, oatmeal with toppings, breads, Naan, Pita, hard boiled eggs, fruit, salsas......people complaining about "traditional" breakfast should just stay home or check out the local McDonalds. There are washers and dryers, an arcade room, a computer with functioning printer, and lots of board games. The lobby has a round fireplace, and the deck has a fire pit and tables to eat breakfast at, should you wish. Yes, there is some dirt/pine needles near the doors....it is the mountains, and people are out hiking, etc. This is a resort area, so expect higher prices during summer/fall at ALL properties. Staff was super helpful. They will clean your room IF requested. Across the street is a pizza place and liquor store - the other direction is an ACE Hardware. Safeway and gas is also close by and probably a drive of 5 minutes gets you to the heart of Estes Park.

We really had no complaints.

Close to the park. Comfortable beds. Quiet room. Good value for the money. The room was clean. Bathroom amenities were quality. The refrigerator worked, really well. Front desk staff was friendly. Didn't have time to use the pool or game room. But they looked clean and big. There were also seating areas outside. One was a covered deck area and a patio area with a grill.

Breakfast is only 7 to 10. You think think it would be earlier(6/630)0 for people heading into the park early. Breakfast choices are different. I recommend you bring your own if you're looking for something filling. Only 2 toasters, so there is always a long line. Hallways were dirty. Requested for new towels and trash to be changed around 6 AM. came back at 4 pm. Still hadn't been done. Called again. Left and came back at 1030 pm. Went and got the stuff ourselves. The one upholstered chair in the room was stained/dirty, so I covered it with a towel, so we felt comfortable sitting on it. Bed sheets had blood stains on them. No bathroom exhaust fan.

This was a very nice property. The layout is a bit funky but overall not too bad. It was clean, the staff was friendly and the breakfast was good. The location was convenient as we had rented a Jeep from Backbone Adventures as the primary activity during our two days in Estes Park. Backbone is pretty much right next door, could’ve walked there for our rental pickup.

We got a room with a parking lot view, the view from the balcony wasn’t the best but we enjoyed it anyway. The balcony was also slightly sloped, which made standing out there a little odd at first.

The staff was very friendly both the night staff and day staff. Nice views of the mountains and fairly close to town. I did enjoy sitting out on the second story patio with the fire pits in the evening.

We had double beds and the heater was so close to the bed it basically sent heat to the mattress. We asked for clean towels while we were out and didn't get them so we had to go down and ask for them. Not a big deal I guess. Our floors were sticky. The desk gal said the cleaning crew probably used too much fabalouso in the mop water. We cleaned it ourselves.

The property was great and the staff was excellent. We liked our room and the pool was great. We were disappointed that the hot tub was closed due to renovations. Two things that can use improvement: the breakfast was poorly stocked and could have used a few more options (we did come to breakfast about 45 minutes before they closed). We also didn't like that after we got to our floor using the elevator, we had to climb an additional small flight of stairs to get to our room (which was only annoying at check in/out because of getting our stuff to/from the car).

We had a fantastic stay at Expedition Lodge in Estes Park! The lodge was cozy, clean, and perfectly located—just minutes from downtown and a short drive to Rocky Mountain National Park. The atmosphere felt welcoming and rustic, with thoughtful touches throughout. The bed was comfortable, the amenities were great, and the peaceful mountain setting made it easy to relax after a day of hiking. The breakfast was healthy and so delicious! Would definitely stay here again!

All was perfect!

We had a little difficulty in finding the hotel, as it is going a name change and there was no "Conference Center" name in the front. The hotel does not look like much from the outside, but the inside proves that this is a great little place. The rooms are extremely clean and include all of the amenities needed for a no-frills stay. Our room was towards the back and was not only quiet, but offered a lovely mountain view. I had several interactions with Austin, who was at the front desk, and he was fabulous. The price was considerably less than any other hotel that had two queen-sized beds. I also loved the fact that the bedroom was not carpeted. Keep up the good work!

There is no elevator, which could be a problem for some. I picked up a grand and go breakfast before breakfast time, which I appreciate), but it included a small, packaged muffin, a small, granola bar, and an apple, which I did not take. Something with a little protein would have been nice. (But maybe it is offered during normal breakfast hours.)

The place was nice enough in its day. Now it is a little dated. It was clean and wins in convenience. We enjoyed walking our dog right out the door to stroll and such. Parking directly outside the room was great too! The staff was energetic and the facilities favor a youthful crowd.

It is a large complex and would take a major investment to update the carpets and appointments, but it held its charm, I can imagine it in winter full of skiers.

I liked that the unique Breakfast bar. Enjoyed making up my own version of an Estes Park Deviled Egg lol. Key ingredient for me: hummus. I also was pleasantly surprised that this hotel was recently purchased by Expedition Lodge. I stayed at the Moab location when my car broke down. I was a teacher working remotely during the pandemic and they took great care of me and my dogs when we were stuck there. Thanks! ( :

The hot tub and the bathrooms by the pool were closed.
