The view of the mountains was absolutely stunning — waking up to that scenery was unforgettable. The room was very spacious, clean, and comfortable, with plenty of room to relax after a day of exploring. The location is incredibly convenient, especially if you're planning to visit Rocky Mountain National Park — it's just a short drive away.

There were a couple of things that could have been better. Our room did not have an iron, and even though we stayed for five nights, we never received one despite requesting it. Also, breakfast started rather late at 7:00 AM, which didn’t work well for us since our timed entry reservations for Rocky Mountain National Park were between 5:00 and 7:00 AM. We had to prepare our own breakfast each morning, which was a bit inconvenient.

We were thrilled to find a room that comfortably accommodated our family if 6 (one bed in main studio style room, two beds in bedroom). The location was perfect for walking into town, and a quick easy drive to the park entrance. The views of the pond and golf course were lovely! Breakfast was great!

Our only minor issue was the in-room coffee pot not working, but the coffee available in the lobby worked just fine for us! We’d have loved it if breakfast started at 6 instead of 7, so we could grab something on our way to the park. Most days we left before 7 to get a parking space. The hot tub was in an odd location, but it was very clean and we were happy to use it after every hike.

The property is beautiful, especially by the pond. There’s bonfire supplies that one of the employees came out and lit the fire for us on Saturday night. Very sweet guy. Nothing beats getting up in the morning with your coffee sitting by the lake and seeing five or six elk just laying in the morning sun. we love this place and will definitely use it again. Another good feature is they allow for dogs. Also perfect location to walking into town. No car needed.

I can’t think of anything negative about this property

Not much of a view but the golf tee was behind us. The overall grounds were very pretty. The pond, the fire pit with wood provided was great. Used it both nights we were there. Enjoyed the family of Elk that were there also.

Definitely need a blower to clean off the walkways and the chairs outside the doors could be updated. We picked up a lot of trash and that isn’t something we’ve seen in Colorado. The continental breakfast was good but they never had enough put out. Had to ask for the basics.

The location was fantastic we had double balcony room amazing view of the mountains Elks wandering about free light breakfast toast cereal yogurt waffles tea coffee juice enough to set you up for the day next to visitor centre free shuttle running up and down but close enough to walk to downtown shops across the road although lots of steep climbs

could not get a taxi or uber we were going up to stay at The Stanley Hotel although you could walk it was really hot and it's a steep walk especially with luggsge but big thanks to the young lady on reception (around 10.30am) who helped us get a taxi which was extortionate at $20 for 2 minute ride needs more public transport or taxis not everyone drives on holiday

WE loved THE LOCATION! CLOSE TO TOWN TO WALK; GOLF COURSE BEHIND WITH ELK GRAZING AND RIVER PATHS THRU IT! Room was clean and comfortable. Hot tub was out of order so that was disappointing. Office staff not very knowledgable of the area. Breakfast choices were good. Great Stay!

As mentioned above , was disappointing that hot tub was not available. Our room had no table or luggage stand, both would have been helpful.

We missed the entrance of the lodge and had to detour. The lodge was in the slope downhill. We saw the lodge sign from the traffic light. Tha was a traffic cone which I believe was to guide guests to the lodge but the traffic cone was knocked down. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The hand soap dispenser ran out of soap :(. The breakast was very basic, and not continenetal breakfast like what the front desk front girl told us. Overall it was not bad at all.

A sign install (not a traffic cone) for guests not to miss the entrance. The room was dark. That will be good if that is a light nex to the little dinning table.

Room was quiet & cosy with a beautiful view. Folding of towels was impressive & these were of high quality. As we did not have our own transport, we were pleased to be within walking distance of the Visitors' Centre and Main Street. We did a great private 4hr trip with Brandon of RockyGuides.com into the National Park.

The bed was not level & slanted backwards. The breakfast could have been better - some bagels and cream cheese would have been a nice option. Coffee machine was not working.

The location was great, close to everything in Estes Park, short drive to RMNP, beautiful mountain views! Our room was very clean, seemed it was newly remodeled as well. Elk visited the grassy spaces at the lodge often, so it was neat to see them. My husband appreciated the height of the shower head since he is a taller guy. They offer a basic, filling breakfast. Toast, boiled eggs, muffins, premade waffles, fruit, yogurt, oatmeal, pop tarts, cereal, milk, coffee, hot tea, juice and water. We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again if in the area. The hot tub was nice also after a long hike. There is a nice outdoor seating area and fire pit near the pond.

Did not dislike anything. If the space could be found, on-site laundry facilities would be a bonus!

Everything was absolutely perfect. From checking in and checking out. The two day stay was the best. The elk grazed on the property so cool to see. The room we had was called mountain king. It was so nice with king size bed, room and the bathroom/ shower was great! Very clean place. I definitely recommend! I will definitely be back to stay at Discovery Lodge! Front desk customer service awesome! If you like to shop the town of estes park has awesome little shops and you can walk to it or drive. We had a wonderful time! I do wish for more comfortable chairs or loveseat to sit on. I loved the metal table and chairs but not for sitting to watch tv.
