This was a great stay for my family while visiting Rocky Mountain National Park. It's only about a 10-minute drive to the park and super close to all the shops in Estes Park. The Safeway is just three minutes away, which was convenient. The place was spacious. The studio we had included a kitchenette and a living room. It was very clean and well-maintained. I appreciated the fact that staff came and replaced the towels and took out the trash daily.

A big downside was parking. There’s an overflow lot, but if your unit is at the front of the property, it’s a bit of a walk (especially with sleeping toddlers). Also, the place is outdated. It's comfortable, but the units do need a makeover.

Proximity to town, the size and amenities of the room, as well as the hot tub and breakfast.

I felt very uncomfortable not having a window covering, or even mini blinds, for the small basement window looking directly into the kitchen and bathroom in the C building. Any peeping Tom could easily peer through this space which made me feel very uneasy, especially at night when the light was on. Also, while the female staff working the front desk in the morning and afternoon were lovely and helpful, the men who were there when I first arrived were not very friendly.

Great location. Gorgeous view of the mountains while eating breakfast. Super clean room. Jetted spa was nice after long days of hiking in the snow and wind. Staff was great!

Our room was exceptionally small, but nice. Temperature in the room even with the fireplace turned off and heater turned down low was so warm we had to have a window open. We noticed some of the neighbors did too! We actually slept with the window open and just a sheet for covers. It was in the teens at night!!! Lol. The bed and spa takes up the whole room. Would be nice to have a full bath also available to use instead of just the spa.

We loved staying at the Appenzell Inn. Its location is perfect: it is right next to Marina Estes. It is also close to the shops and restaurants, just a 3-minute drive. We spent most of our time in the indoor pool and the outdoor hot tub. We also love the cute hot tub inside our room, which was big enough for two people. The staff had also left some bath salts for us, which was a nice gesture. There was also a little fireplace inside the room. We will probably stay at a higher level room next time to get a view of the mountains.

There could have been more hot food options for breakfast. But they did have bagels, cupcakes, eggs, and yoghurt! We did enjoy breakfast with the view of the mountains.

The staff was amazing they were super nice and helpful and went out of their way to help us figure out how to use the Jets in the jacuzzi.

The breakfast could have been better but overall it wasn't bad. There was also someone staying in the room underneath us who was looking in our window while my daughter was breastfeeding my grandson and said that we were being super loud when all we were doing was just sitting there and then banged on the window as he was walking away obviously that has nothing to do with the facility or the staff but it did rub me the wrong way

This is a place we pick every time we stay in Estes. It's very nostalgic for us. We like that it has an indoor pool, with a hot tub right outside the poolhouse. We like the jacuzzi tub in the room and the option of kitchenettes. They have their sister hotel that we've stayed in once. The rooms are very spacious. They always have little snacks and popcorn in the lobby.

The pillowcases are itchy to me, but the rest of the family doesn't mind them. They need more hooks to hang towels. Especially if you take advantage of the pool. We wear the pool towels to the room and hang them if we know we're going to use the pool again. The place needs some sprucing up.

Spacious room with great mountian views. Pool was a nice way to end the day. Location was great-easy 3 minute drive or 15-20 minute walk to main street shops restuarants etc. Walking back will have a hill, but it is not super steep. Grocery store is 2 minutes down the road. Laundry available and was very easy to use and not expensive either (less than $4 for one load wash and dry) Front desk was happy to exchange cash for quarters and detergent and dryer sheets were freely available. Lots of outdoor seating areas with great views, beautiful flower boxes frequented by hummingbirds.

It looked like some of the grounds areas were either in need of or in the middle of some renovations. The Appenzell recently acquired the adjacent hotel property so this might have been from combining the two properties. There were still plenty of nice seating areas outside with firepits, grills and outdoor games with beautiful mountain views though! Overall very very minor thing.

The room was great

Due to my wife getting really sick I had to check out 2 days earlier than expected and get her to a Dr. I ask about a refund for my remaining days and they said due too booking through Booking.com they couldn't give me a refund and Booking.com told me to contact the motel for a refund so when all is said and done I just lost almost $500.00. Lesson learned i guess. Never use Booking .Com and get insurance on any future motel reservations.

We really liked how quiet it was and that we saw alot of elk. We did enjoy the full sized fridge and the little table to eat on and big plus was the small dishwasher.

The hot tub was not working and the staff made silly comments saying they needed to let the sun warm it up. Fix the hot tub or completely take it out of your listing, people pay for working things. The t.v.’s are a real problem you can’t get them to work half the time and the staff will show up one time to get it working and not help you again if it goes bad again. The breakfast was boiled eggs and toast or muffins with orange juice or other juices and maybe bagels, my son went once and refused to eat after that, kids are picky they want hot food for breakfast, well some anyway.

It was prettier than the photos and expansive! The property combined with their neighboring sister property to offer more amenities to the guests! So there is both and indoor and outdoor pool, outdoor hot tub, tons of yard games, ping pong, and so much more! We were there mid-week and found the property quiet and relaxing! It had everything we wanted and more!

Ha- my husband likes to have a vacation vape/cigar and the smoking area feels like you're being put in jail. Though we appreciate that people aren't smoking outside all the rooms, they could make that area more inviting and reflective of the rest of the properties comfort.
