Truly loved the size, cleanliness, and design of the bathroom.

Given the premium pricing and category of the hotel, it is reasonable to anticipate the availability of freshly squeezed orange juice as a standard offering. Particularly in the south of Spain, where oranges are abundantly grown, the absence of fresh juices notably detracts from the expected level of hospitality and amenities. The slowest internet connection I have experienced in any hotel in the past years. The WiFi signal was alright, it was the data transmission which made the use on my devices impossible.

Location was perfect . Xmas atmosphere & decorations were magical . The lunch in the restaurant was amazing . A string quartet for Xmas day made it all very special . The bar was cosy .

Even though booking in advance we were not on the main building but the annex . Our room was right at the end of the corridor overlooking a very unattractive courtyard in its pigeon poo everywhere . The electrics were a problem and kept dropping out so a piece of timber was as found to put behind the card to turn on electrics for the room . There was building work going on over Xmas and we were woken at 8am Xmas and boxing morning by banging and drilling . We complained but were told it was out of the hotels control . The room was expensive I think we should have been put into another room as the hotel myy it at have know this might be a problem ?

What an Amazing hotel. It is in the centre of the old town. Taxi drops you 50m from the hotel as pedestrianised. The staff are so friendly. Immaculate rooms. Special thank you to Daniel who was very helpful. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

The hotel is in an excellent location: in a charming part of the old town. Museums and the main beach (Malagueta) are within walking distance, and the area is filled with tapas bars, rooftop lounges, and boutique shops. While it’s situated in a lively part of town, the hotel itself remains calm and quiet, with no disturbances from street noise. The rooftop terrace is a highlight—perfect for enjoying a coffee, a beer, or simply unwinding. The hotel’s décor beautifully blends old Spanish charm with modern elegance, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The bed and pillows were exceptionally comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep. One important note: the hotel consists of two buildings—the historic Palacio and a more modern wing. I stayed in the Palacio section, which added to the unique experience.

Food at the restaurant could have been better.

This is a lovely building with an excellent location: you are not only very centrally situated on a bustling street with restaurants and shops, but you’re right across from the church where Picasso was baptized. The building is a former Palacio, as the name suggests, and it provides character and lovely architectural details. The breakfast provides a wide array of delicious buffet options, and you can also order things (such as omelettes) from a menu. Overall, this is a great place, but I think I would splurge on one of the bigger rooms just to have a bit more elbow room if I stayed here again. The hotel has an agreement with a nearby parking garage if you are arriving by car. It is a short walk from the garage to the hotel. They offered to send someone to meet us there and help with our luggage, but we ended up doing it ourselves and it was not too much of a hassle.

If I were to stay here again, I would opt for a bigger room. Our room was the “double Palacio,” and it was a tight space. I’m not sure what is “double” about it. We did not have enough room to open both suitcases and sort through our things. Also, though it was interesting to have a room that overlooked their enclosed courtyard dining area, it comes with the noise of clinking plates and chatter, so I would opt for a room on a higher floor or different section of the hotel were I to book again.

This is a beautiful restored building, housing the ‘Palacio’ rooms, with additional ‘Solecio’ rooms in an adjacent building. We have previously stayed in the Palacio rooms. The building is very attractive, and the rooms tastefully decorated with wooden floors, and marble floored shower rooms. The location is very central and convenient for the Picasso Museum and the cathedral. This time, the hotel sent directions which would help to find it - last time we stayed the taxi driver had not heard of it so we spent quite a while hunting The Palacio rooms I stayed in last time had windows looking onto the street. That was nice, but we did hear street noise. The Solecio rooms I had had windows opening onto a light well, and a skylight and were quiet. Breakfast is served in a lovely space and has a very good selection of buffet items as well as dishes cooked to order. The staff were very helpful in lending me a phone charger when I realised that mine had a uk plug, and in suggesting where I could buy one the next day

We stayed for 2 separate nights this trip, at the start and end of our holiday. On arrival both times, I was asked ‘have you stayed here before?’ the receptionist was a bit embarrassed when I said ‘this is my third visit’. It would be better if they didn’t ask, or if their system recorded past visits (particularly within a week). Our second room was on the third floor of the Solecio building (room 322) and was unbearably hot after a sunny day in January. Fortunately, there was a window to a light well which would open which brought the temperature down during the evening: the air on didn’t seem to make much impact - and reasonably switched off when the window was open.

Everything was first rate - excellent central location, lovely hotel with luxurious rooms and most of all the most wonderful staff.

There’s not much of an outlook and the rooms were quite dark - but it’s in the centre of the old town amidst alleys and buildings so not much you can do about that!

Good breakfast, nice gym

Table service for coffee and juice during breakfast does not make any sense. Staff is uncapable of handling this. There should be self service option. Breakfast service is very far from luxury experience.

An oasis of calm within the pedestrian area of this busy city; an excellent, quiet and comfortable hotel in which to base ones self yet have all of the main sights and restaurants etc within an easy walk. Very good and helpful staff. A very well renovated old style palace townhouse with a lovely inner courtyard. Sadly the weather wasn't conducive to trying the rooftop terrace bar and swimming pool - next time? Good restaurant with delicious food but we mainly ate out at one of the many places nearby. Should we ever go back to Malaga then we will most definitely stay here again.

Somewhat surprised by price of breakfast - at E32 pp we decided not to try it, as there are many local options within five minutes walk. Taxi not able to deliver you to the door - but I strongly advise taking the hotel's tip and phoning them when ten minutes away and a porter will (magically) appear at the place they agree with your driver.
