The Maly team will do everything to make you feel at home and is very service oriented; the breakfast is nice; the room (ground floor, facing the pool) was nice (although some people may find it somewhat dark); good bed; the location is a 10-15 min walk from 'downtown' but close enough to some very good restaurants and in a nice, green and somwhat residential area

The pool is really chilly and therefore not very comfortable to swim in; The bathroom is pretty basic for this price level; For dinner, the hotel's restaurant cannot compete with other restaurants in LP/within walking distance

- The grounds - The pool always had sun and shade - The old world feel of the entire place. It was just stunning - Comfortable beds & pillows - Super nice shower, rain shower with great pressure - The pool felt glam - The extensive cocktail menu - Shuttle into the town center - The absolute nicest staff - The location is close to all the good stuff for such a great price and beautiful charm everywhere you look in the hotel. I would 100% come back.

Nice location close to the night market (10 min walk). With a tropical garden and great swimming pool. The breakfast buffet was ok, with a lot of choices. Last morning we got a la carte as there were only 2 families in the hotel (due to low season) which was very good solution not to waste food People are very helpful and super friendly.

We were there in rainy season so it was a little quiet and wet (😀). But yeah that is July and August in Laos

VMBH is a beautiful French colonial styled hotel nestled on a beautiful Lao sight. It is convenient to downtown LP but far enough away so you can get a good nite's rest. When I was there, it was off season. The staff was super friendly and professional. They arranged my transport to and from the airport along with excursions and were very communicative during the whole process. Though I didn't use the pool, I certainly would if time permitted. The breakfast was very good as well. Though I traveled alone on this trip, I would absolutely stay here with my wife and family if ever in LP again. Wonderful experience. Khap Chai VMBH!!

The CheckIn experience was excellent. They even gave a little massage. The breakfast was also quite lovely.

The room they gave me was in the back and had quite a few paint spots on the floor of the bathroom that made it look not clean. The size of the room was small for a four star hotel at that price. The first night I didn’t have anyone in the room next-door, but when they moved someone into that room, I could hear all the sounds from the bathroom. I’m not sure if all their rooms are this problematic, but my room was. I have been looking around the town and this place is very overpriced for what it offers. I’m now staying across the street and paying half the price for a much nicer room.

Very nice hotel, clean and comfortable and very good service, they make your room twice a day. Free bicycles that we used throughout our stay. Location is good, 10 minutes walk from the bamboo bridge. there's a great and very professional massage centre on the same road, and laundry service on the other side of the road. Breakfast was good (I haven't find memorable breakfasts in Laos). There are mosquito nets!

Staff were amazing and so hospitable, property and rooms were beautiful, and the food/restaurant was incredible- we chose to eat there for most of our dinners because it was so good! Close to downtown area, just a few minutes walk. The hotel also has complimentary bicycles if you want. Very clean property, and they clean your room everyday. Everything else was great!

Bed was very uncomfortable, felt like a 100 year old mattress with only boards & springs left in it. Otherwise, room was beautiful and everything was superb.

Very beautiful property. Extremely well maintained and loads of ambience. We had a lovely room on the first floor overlooking the pool (although at times this was a mixed blessing when very noisy kids were in the pool). Breakfasts were very good and the bar does great gin and tonics. Loved the evening turn down service. Outstanding staff - big thanks to the woman who appears to be the breakfast manager - she was always cheerful and ensured we got great service.

Some large family groups dominated at times and spoiled the peaceful ambience (but it’s holiday time in Europe so we should’ve expected this).

Beautiful hotel within easy strolling distance of this fabulous town. Lovely atmosphere and very stylish, good breakfast, great shower, helpful staff. Pool was a real bonus after hot days out exploring.

Partition walls between our room and next door meant it could feel like you knew your neighbours very well! Quite expensive to be sharing a room!

Our room was quite dark - not enough natural light or enough light in the room. The painted walls in the bathroom with the border look a little outdated.
