The waiter, Rodney, was very professional and friendly. Even though he worked alone, covering all the tables, he remained very pleasant. The owners should NOT put that much pressure on one person and should recognise what an asset he is to the whole ambience of the restaurant. I'd be surprised if he stays there. How foolish the owners must be to treat such a hardworking man in this way. He speaks fluent English and has a warmth about him, which instantly makes you feel at home. He made our stay.

See above and frogs legs plus didn't like the amount of veal on the menu. Also, pictures of the hotel are misleading....it looks as though the location is more rural, when in fact it is located in a very dull urban village.

Good location, with free private parking spaces and e-car charging possibility. The town center (Kongresni square) is only five stop by local bus, number 6. The bus stop “Wic” is ten minutes walking from the Hotel. So you can leave your car at the hotel, while enjoy the beautiful old town. The hotel has a restaurant, unfortunately dinner was not available because of kitchen renovation, but the bar was open. The breakfast was plenty and excellent

During our staying the kitchen of hotel’s restaurant was closed.

Clean and quiet room, relaxing beds, the staff was very nice and helpful all the time. Thank you guys, you are doing such a great job !!!! We also enjoyed the breakfast (we especially liked the croissants and jam) and the green courtyard, which has a very relaxing vibe. The restaurant within the courtyard has excellent food and within the bar you can have a variety of drinks and cakes. Also, don't miss their ice cream, it's amazing :) When we will visit again Slovenia, we will come back to this accommodation.

I liked everything.

- clean - secure parking inside - great restaurant - good breakfast - very helpful staff

- noisy (rooms are facing the road and it gets very loud in the morning) - no a/c or fan so you need to leave the window open - stressful to get in with a car! You need to call a local number to open the gate for the car. If you are a foreigner and don’t have a local SIM card you’ll have to leave the car in front and walk to the reception. The number for opening doesn’t have WhatsApp or Viber

Room was very spacious and comfortable. It was quiet at night. The location was good as it was near the motorway so handy for driving to different areas ( Lake Bled, Kranjska Gora,etc). Breakfast was very nice with lots of fresh fruit, yogurts, cold meats and cheese. We ate at the restaurant one night.

Car park only had 5 spaces so sometimes tricky to park on our return after day out. We ended up using the car park for the restaurant.

Very clean and cosy room, large bathroom, friendly staff and tasty breakfast.

We were not informed that the restaurant does not offer food on the weekend although we asked twice in advance. Therefore we had to drive back to the city center late in the evening to find a place for dinner. However, this is something that can be improved very easily just by informing the guests in advance. Everything else was nice.

Great breakfast, lot’s of fresh fruits, pastries & a variety of cereals, yogurts, breads along with eggs , juices & coffee, etc. A clean, well appointed property & above a delightful bar & cafe serving a variety of drinks & fresh cakes/ice cream. Friendly, helpful staff. Only a 10 min walk to bus stop for transport into the city.

We liked everything!

Very large bathroom and bedroom. Very cleaned. The property is about 5 km south west of the old town, but there is bus stop on the main road, 6 minute away from the hotel and bus journey is only 12-15 minutes and costs 1.30 euro ( much better option than taking the car ). Free parking at the hotel. Very good breakfast and very nice staff.

The walls between the rooms are very thin and with poor insulation and could hear the guests from next door talking and using the toilette on the first night.

Penzion Pri Žabarju is an excellent place to stay in!! Next time I am in Ljubljana I am definitely staying here again. The breakfast was super tasty and diverse, from fruits to veggies, sweets, croissants, eggs in different forms, it was really delicious, they even make you a coffee on the spot and have non dairy milk options! The staff is amazing, they are all very kind and always with a smile, also super helpful! The room was big, and the bed was comfy, it was very clean everywhere and very cozy! All in all a great experience and would love to stay there again! 10/10! The Penzion is a bit further from the city center, but since we already knew that it represented no problem for us, walking to the center takes you half an hour max.

Everything was superb.

Everything about this place is amazing. The staff is extremely nice, very helpful and organized. You have free parking inside the complex, breakfast is very good and they also have restaurant inside with nice prices comparing to the ones in the city center, and food is very good or course. Rooms have everything you need, and there are number of markets near by. Tivoli park is close to the place, you must visit it. Our friends from Slovenia told us that the price is very good considering the current prices of apartments in Ljubljana, so there's another reason to stay here. I would recommend this place for anyone.

For some peoole it might be a problem that it is a bit far from city center (45-60 min walking), but for me and my wife that wasn't issue.
