A fantastic hotel. Everything was great - location, staff friendliness and helpfulness, facilities etc. The room was a good size, nicely decorated and relaxing. The bathroom was well equipped, even the toilet paper was a better quality than often found in more expensive hotels (because the little things matter too). The a la carte breakfast meant we were able to specify exactly what we wanted though Day 1 was about learning how our requests were interpreted. The staff were happy with us amending the menu choices. Location is great with so many things within a few minutes walk. Reception staff were always friendly and interested in our plans. Exceptional value for money. We would definitely choose to stay there again.

Great central location, a few minutes from the river & close to everything but sufficiently far from the main tourist area to be peaceful and relaxing. Valet parking right behind the hotel which was very useful for the hire car and the hotel staff retrieved the car within minutes of requesting it. Luxurious large double room with great walk-in shower & with a well stocked minibar that was replenished free of charge every day, given that we were there for four nights. Air-conditioning worked really well, important given the very hot weather so it was very comfortable to chill out in the room after a long days out. Staff spoke fantastic English and were super helpful with any requests and general information about the city and also booked us dinner in one of the river restaurants on the first night. Nice breakfast, relaxing dining room, and a decent choice from the buffet and ordering from the menu. The hotel also offered courtesy bikes which we used on the first day which was a fantastic way to see the city centre but also to get out to Tivoli park and explore around there. I’m a very keen cyclist, and the bikes were in excellent condition. Given all the above, and the fact we were in a capital city, the price was good value

If I’m being extremely picky, some of the breakfast items were slightly fussy. Sometimes you just want something simple & straightforward. Even the toast came garnished with some pea shoots!.

Perfect location! We like small, boutique hotels and Hotel Cubo couldn’t have been more perfect. It’s about a 3 min walk from all Of the action but nice and quiet and easy to access. The staff is beyond helpful and so nice, the room was nice a den roomy with and felt clean and modern and breakfast was really good. If I had to pick one thing to improve, it would be the lighting situation on the bathroom- both bright lights turn on, there snit a way to only turn the toilet light in, but that would t stop us from staying here again. When we return we will stay at Hotel Cubo again.

Just the bathroom light situation

The service is excellent. The whole staff is super welcoming, friendly and always “wants to go the extra mile” to make the guests happy. Especially Nika who welcomed us with a drink on the house, explained the city a bit and gave us great dinner recommendations. The rooms are spacious and very clean. Air con has power, but is fairly quiet. Bathroom has a modern design, everything installed is upper league brands. The was also a long board for toiletries and getting ready which is quite nice. Beds are cozy and soft. Although the hotel is located right next to the street we did not hear any noise from it. Considering the location it’s a 9.5/10. Yes, if you want to you can always be a bit closer to the river, but by foot it takes around 5 minutes to get to the heart of Ljubljana and there’s a nice park right around the corner.

Everything! The staff were hospitable, kind and so helpful. I loved the extra small touches; the map of the city, the coffee on arrival, the free bike usage, the free mini bar, slippers and dressing gown in the room. They helped book a transfer to the airport too. I've travelled alot and this was one of the best stays I've had. Great shower, and bathroom toiletries. The aircon also worked well. Great location and a spacious room for a single too. Already thinking about coming back! I've also recommended Hotel Cubo to all my friends.

The staff at the hotel welcomed me by saying "Mr ..." we've been expecting you, which was amazing to know the hotel staff actively know what guests to expect and have a great friendly approach to helping you get the most out of the city. The hotel is prime city location, but the best feature of this hotel are the amazing staff. The breakfast, was one of the nicest I've ever experienced. having a full al carte breakfast that was unlimited. I was blown away by the quality of the food and the atteniveness of the waiting staff. keeping my happy with lovely drinks all the time.

The bed was a double bed, although I was a single guest, which was nice but only a single set of pillows were available which meant having additional guests was awkward and uncomfortable.

The 2 gentlemen at the hotel's reception were so professional and friendly. I would like to highlight Nejc, who helped us check in and gave great suggestions for meals and shopping. He also informed us about the flat tire on our rental car, plus he reached out to the company to insist they exchange the car at the hotel, saving us a trip to the airport. All the while, he kept apologizing for the inconvenience, that they most likely caused the puncture while parking the car on my behalf. I can't see how this is the hotel's fault. Great experience staying at Cubo Hotel Ljubljana. I won't stay anywhere else.

Nothing, really

Absolutely everything. It was spotlessly clean. The room was enormous. Perfect to spend the day in cos we were both unwell and it was bitterly cold outside. Lots of places to eat within 5 minutes walking distance. Even more within 10 minutes walk. The bathroom had heated flooring and really well presented, however the towels were the star of the show - fluffiest, softest towels ever. Wanted to be wrapped in them forever. Staff were so helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much for any of them. Special mention to Tamara who served us breakfast on a couple of occasions. She was so interesting and interested in us, we could have chatted to her all day.

Nothing at all

Perfect location. You can drive in front of the hotel in the center of Ljubljana and the staff takes care of your car. The check in and out are fast and smooth. The room and bathroom are spacious, bedlinen is comfortable, all the amienitis are provided. The biggest surprise was the breakfast. It is served, but you have a lot of very good options and you feel like beeing in the top restaurant. Plates are beautiful and delicious and the waiters are so kind. I am sure you can not find better place in the center of Ljubljana.

As there is not a lot of light in the bathroom, higher magnification of the cosmetic mirror for the guests over 50 would be nice.

Good location - friendly & helpful staff - thoughtful design - all digital so no cards & minimal paper - breakfast and minibar (!) included.

Not so much ‘didn’t like’ but would rethink: I would choose a different room next time. Mine was ok but down a back corridor that smelled of old hotel / musty carpet-cleaner. Front rooms looked much brighter and nicer. It would be good to use the stairs in such a small property but got locked into the stairwell! If you’re going this green, how about recycling?
