I was very chuffed to have secured one of the rooms at relatively short notice. The views naturally are not as nice from the first floor where I was located as from the upper storeys, but the location is well within the historic centre and the vibes wafting in off the pedestrian promenade were lovely enough. Even though the very traffic-heavy bridge delimiting the centre to the south is just a few paces away, there was hardly any related noise, which speaks to the quality of the insulation. The staff were in constant contact to ascertain my exact time of arrival, and took great care to make sure they were there personally to let me in. Check-in times at least in theory are pretty liberal. I have to come back some time to check out the panorama from the higher floors!

Before I arrived, I received very quick and nice responses in our messages. The staff were very attentive, helpful, and friendly. I stayed for my birthday, and my room was bright and spacious just as I requested.

Before check-in, I left my suitcase and explored the city. Although I entered the room at 4:00 PM, the floor had just been mopped and was still wet, and the room smelled strongly of cleaning detergent. I didn’t like that. Because of this, I asked for slippers, but unfortunately, the hotel didn’t have any. Similarly, there was no shower cap available either. I would have appreciated having these. Also, there was a large spider on the ceiling of the room. While this might be normal for older buildings, it should be given more attention.

A good place to stay in Ljubljana. Id say location is almost perfect - you're at the nicer end of the central river section/old town, not far away from lots of shops and cafes and restaurants, yet also not too close so it isnt really busy and loud outside. The receptionist in arrival was excellent and helpful. We booked a river view room. I was a little underwhelmed. The room was big and nice, and bushy trees can't be helped, but we couldn't see the river at all, or even many building etc for that matter. Mostly just trees and the path out front as we were on the first floor. Not great after paying extra for a "river view" room and seeing all these nice photos online. I asked if they had a "river view" room on a higher floor for better views but nothing was available. We were there for our anniversary and I mentioned this in advance. I received a response in advance, and the receptionist also said "we'll do something very nice for you". However, we didn't receive anything. This was probably an innocent mistake and forgotten, and we don't expect anything. But after being told they'd do something for us, again we were left underwhelmed when this wasn't the case. There's no air con which means at night we had the fan on and windows wide open, which isnt then great for noise of passers by and the nearby main road. On day 1 my wife had a shower and after 2 minutes the water went cold. We waited about 40 minutes (including memtioning this to reception who told us to wsit half an hour) and still no hot water, so i had to have a cold shower. It seemed ok the other days but again, not ideal on day 1 to have no hot water. Whilst here we also asked for breakfast tea bags, but they didn't have any. Not a big issue at all, but a suggestion to maybe have these in stock for future guests and not just fruity teas.

As mentioned above

The room is as it is shown in the pictures and it is very clean. We stayed 3 days and in the middle of our stayment it was cleaned again and we appreciated it very much. The stuff is so friendly and helpful with everything we asked them, and they gave us great options for places to eat. It is located in the center of the historical area of the city and it has a lot of coffee places and restaurants. The area is quiet at night and safe. The only disadvantage is that it has no elevator and it is located on the 3rd floor, but it's not a big problem for us. We will visit this place in our visit in Ljubljana!

The place is located inside an historic building with great atmosphere. It is well located just on the main walking riverside street and my room had a great view from the window towards the river and the castle hill. It had great noise insulation as I could not hear anything when the window was closed. And even when opened it was feeling chilly atmosphere from the Ljubljanica river. It is greatly located right at the walking area and surrounded with restaurants, places to visit and walk around easily. The staff were really amazing. The room itself had everything one could need for a short stay and could expect in a hotel room, i.e. no washing machine etc. The bed was super comfortable as well.

Nothing, I would book it anytime when visiting Ljubljana from now on.

The location is superb and that in itself makes this a great value for money. The studio is well-designed and bright. Bed is comfy and if you're visiting during winter there's no need to worry about the cold (the opposite, really... I forgot to turn down the radiators the first night and woke up hot and dehydrated next morning). Summer might be different since there's no AC... Yes, it's up on the third floor and there's no elevator, but the stairs are wide and not very steep at all. If arriving in a cab or just dropping people and luggage off, you can stop just steps away from the door, but for actual parking, it'll be a bit of a walk.

While the thick walls and double windows keep out the outside noise, the hall and bathrooms are quire echoey. If you're a light sleeper or get to bed early, you might want to consider earplugs so the neighbors returning late or taking a shower don't bother you. Reception isn't manned 24/7, which isn't a bit issue, I just found myself wondering what would happen if you stepped out and forgot the keyfob for the room/downstairs door inside. But really, these are just minor details. Overall it's still a great place.

Our Lufthansa flight was delayed so we were liaising with reception staff while on layover in Munich airport to ensure we could check in if we arrived after 10 PM. Slightly stressful for us but the staff was very helpful. The hotel is in a great location and we would definitely stay here again. I felt like I was in an apartment building (which I liked) rather than a hotel. There's no lift which didn't bother us -- we were happy to climb the wide stairs. The room was relatively quiet (but bring ear plugs if you are affected by noise from the pedestrian-only street) and the view was great from our room. The room itself was large with a bed that could have been more comfortable and with better bedside lighting (above the bed would be better) but I appreciated the shelf running the length of the bed to put stuff. Good storage space and huge bathroom. A kettle with basic tea/coffee-making facilities but I wasn't bothered as we tended to go out for coffee. We had breakfast daily at Le Petit Cafe which we'd highly recommend, and is 5 minutes' walk from the hotel. We'd definitely stay here again as we loved it.

The shower door needed fixing as it didn't close properly and water leaked out and flooded to the door. It had obviously happened before as the MDF on the door frame had blown. Not very safe as you could easily slip with all that water. Bed could be more comfortable (thin mattress). Shower door needs to fit better. Lighting for reading in bed could be improved (see above).

The best thing about the appartment was the location, accacability and the helpfull staff. Everything we needed was in walking distance, even the train/bus station is walkable (15-20 mins). The easy acces and the people working there made it a very pleasant stay.

There was no airconditioning present in the appartment. This can cause the room temperature to stay high during the night in summer. If its 32+ degrees during the day this might be an issue.

The hotel was in a fantastic location right on the river, so I was able to sit and enjoy the view when it became too hot to go outside for a couple hours in mid-afternoon. The bed was really comfortable. The TV was massive, and I mean massive. The bathroom was modern. The shower was strong. And it was great talking to the staff there, who gave me lots of information, tips and a map to follow

I have a really bad knee, so walking upstairs to the third floor was a little much for me, especially carrying my bag. And, because I tend to leave and come back during the day, those stairs were a bummer. However, great excersize and my butt thanks me, my knee, not so much. They changed the sheets, and there were blood spots on them, so I needed them to remove them and change them, but they were very obliging but just kinda gross that they didn't notice them.

This hotel occupies several floors of a large villa that is situated on the banks of the Ljubljanica River. The location is perfect as this is where all the restaurants and bars are located on both sides of the river. We had a river view from our rooms window, yet it was very quiet. The room was large and comfortable. We absolutely would stay here again.

There is no elevator here, so we had to walk up several flights of stairs to our room. This was only a problem when we were checking in, as we had three large suitcases, a stroller and two pet carriers.
