This boutique hotel is perfectly situated on the southern end of Old Town, just a short walk to all the buzz of the riverside bars and restaurants, but far enough away for it to be quiet. We stayed in the Junior Suite which is cosy, yet spacious and has a separate lounge area. The cold breakfast buffet was really fantastic and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. The overall quirky design and luxury feel of the hotel is wonderful and we truly enjoyed our stay.

Sadly there is construction work being done to the hotel immediately next door, so there was some noise, but only during the day when we were mainly out sightseeing. To be really picky, perhaps the Junior Suite was lacking some small finishing touches in terms of décor elements. And the carpet was looking a little tired. But overall the room was still really nice. As it’s located in the roof, the pitch of the ceiling required one to be careful, especially in the bathroom. But bumping one’s head once was all that was required to avoid doing it again. Ha ha.

Small but very stylish hotel in a reconstructed old house, in the historic city of Ljubljana (pedestrian hone). If you step out your are in the middle of the city center, nice streets with cafes restaurant and full of life. Very individual room, nice historic decor throughout the hotel. Friendly staff, excellent breakfast. At night very quiet.

Inside the hotel some steep stairs - not suited for guests with walking impairments (no elevator). Bedroom and bath a bit narrow and less practical in details. Taxi and car access with some challenges (pedestrian zone).

We loved the delightful old and spacious hotel, with a quiet ambience very much in the heart of the old city. We visited at a quiet time of the year, and the hotel manager who received us was exceptionally helpful and welcoming. The room was amazing (I think we might have been upgraded .. if so thank you!) and a perfect retreat from our exploration of a fascinating city and heritage. A perfect stay in a town we now look forward to visiting again.

The only tiny detraction was being awoken somewhat early on the Monday morning (71m..) by the sounds of renovation work from a nearby hotel - about which our hotel staff could, of course, do nothing to minimise. It wasn’t a major problem however, and the whole experience of this hostel was superb and memorable.

Historic 500 yr old building in very quiet part of Ljubljana. Wonderful Deluxe Double large room with two seating areas. Spotlessly clean. Breakfast was fantastic with plenty of fresh fruit and fresh baked goods, yogurt, meats and cheeses, fresh baked breads. Breakfast room was very classy—beautifully decorated . Staff was very welcoming. Would return absolutely!

No elevators for two long flights of stairs to top floor. But staff carried our bags up which we appreciated. Coffee at breakfast was really bad. ☹️ nespresso in room was WAY better. Sorry.

My stay was completely satisfying - staff, room and breakfasts were all excellent. The location is charming, on a pedestrianised street but very close to car access for drop-off and pick up (the Go Opti shuttle has a stop just 50 metres away).

The bed was perfect - crisp linen, immaculately made - but the pillows were a little old-fashioned. I did not think to ask reception for a firmer pillow. But perhaps one could be provided, if not in every room then at reception, with a note in the room to say, ‘If you prefer a firmer pillow, they are available at reception’.

This hotel is serious about its "boutique" quality. The building has gorgeous interior spaces, especially the lobby and the breakfast room (which acts as an all-day quick-bite dispenser as well). Rooms are amazing. Spacious, quiet, quality bed and bathroom, with great coffee machine to boot. The WiFi is very fast and adequate for video calls. Staff is very attentive to ensure you have the best experience possible. Location is incredible to explore Ljubljana's old town, as it is right on the edge of it. A 5 minute walk and you are essentially right in the middle of the triple bridge, which is very central. As far as convenience goes, there are minimarkets and plenty of restaurants around the hotel, too.

Charming boutique hotel- beautiful decor. Room was lovely- beds comfortable- all amenities provided. Excellent location- easy walking distance to everywhere. Leon, the concierge was very helpful and friendly and helped us with our bags on check in and check out. Even had laundry done for us at no cost. Highly recommend this property

The location was excellent. Near to loads of great restaurants, bars and shops. It really couldn't be better. The breakfast was buffet style and offered a good choice of cold meats, cheese, cereals and cake. Hot dishes were available on request. Cake, fruit and hot beverages were also available, free, throughout the day, as a welcome extra on your return from seeing the city. There was loads of hot water for long, deep baths and the beds were really comfortable.

There was very little that disappointed us about The Lesar. The only things that come to mind were the limited products in the bathroom ie. an empty shower cap box and no body lotion, but they were hardly deal breaking. The other slight niggle was the concierge who wasn't particularly friendly or at all helpful with his advice, pushing expensive taxi trips over the obvious (and very feasible) bus options (to Bled, specifically), making out that public transport was far more complicated and time consuming than it actually proved to be. It's a shame, because as 'the face of Lesar' (for us at least) he didn't do it justice.

This is a little gem in the old town, with a very homey atmosphere. My room (which had to be climbed by stairs only) had a slim view over the rooftops and was super-comfortable. The breakfast is outstanding for such a small place, in terms of both variety and quality. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Arriving in your own car is a bit of a headache. In the absence of rain, one can probably carry the luggage from a nearby (muddy) open-air parking lot (21 Euro/day) at about 500m distance. Unless one is not alone, there is basically no way of unloading any closer. It is not the hotel’s fault but more of a side-effect of the city’s rather draconian policies in that regard. On the weekends there might be some free street parking, subject to availability. The front desk can tell you where to look.

Perfect location with lots of restaurants and many of the attractions within an easy walk from the property. The welcome was warm and even though we arrived early they allowed us to use the room right away. The hotel was beautifully furnished and our room, which overlooked the courtyard, was spacious and very comfortable. The hotel did everything they could to ensure our stay was enjoyable and we will definitely be back!

We can’t fault this hotel and can heartily recommend it.
