Very well-appointed twin room with 2 comfy beds, 2 bedside cabinets, 2 armchairs, very large chest of drawers, plenty of hooks/coat-hangers for clothing, USB sockets, great choice of hot drinks with biscuits refreshed daily. Friendly host, great breakfast selection, off-street parking for up to 6 cars. It's very close to the seafront, pubs and shops, but you can hear hardly any outside noise with the windows closed. Way better value than the nearby chain hotels which charge you extra for parking & breakfast, and here you a much more personal, friendly service (eg, chocolate & biscuits in the rooms, bespoke breakfast cooked to order, dressing gowns and slippers provided etc).

No major complaints! Obviously if you're a super-fussy sleeper then make sure you bring earplugs, as it's an old building so some noise can be heard from the other rooms (we could hear some snoring in the room next door and the pipes can be quite loud when other guests are using their taps). It wasn't particularly bad though, certainly not going to bother the vast majority of people!

Everywhere was extremely clean. We had everything we needed and more. This included umbrellas for our one very wet day.The location was excellent, everything was in such easy reach. The breakfasts were fantastic. All the produce used was of very high quality. The hosts Ian and Vicky were lovely and nothing was too much trouble.

Nothing. Only the very noisy seagulls from early morning, but it is the coast and they live there.

Couple who own it are so friendly and helpful, we don't get away much because my mother has dementia and girlfriends son has autism so just a couple of nights break for us the break was great and the breakfast was amazing, they couldn't have done any better with anything to be honest with how they are with their guests

Had serious issues with the TV only problem we had with the whole stay but couldn't watch it basically at all in the evening as constantly broke up

Everything. Ian and Vicky were the best hosts. Breakfast was second to none with so much on offer to choose. Nothing was to much for these guys to make your stay any better. Rooms were clean, always stocked with tea, coffee etc, location was perfect just off the seafront. Parking was such an added bonus. The best run establishment we have stayed at. Will definitely be back

Couldn't stay longer

Hosts are lovely and friendly, lovely to chat to and very accommodating if needs be. Location was great, 5 min walk to main amenities. 5 min walk to the sea front and train station. Relaxed rules - come and go as you please with no curfew just adhere to common respect to other fellow guests if you come back late. Thank you again to having us! 😁

Owner very friendly and welcoming, made us feel right at home. Good choice of cooked food for breakfast and friendly atmosphere. Room comfortable and well-designed, with plenty of well-positioned electrical sockets and USB ports. Perfectly situated in quiet area within easy walking distance of seafront and town centre.

Room was a bit chilly the first night, but fine after that. Otherwise, no complaints at all, will definitely go back!

Vicky and Ian were very friendly and helpful from the outset. How you would expect a small business to be, wonderful breakfast 😋

The only thing that marred the weekend and has absolutely nothing to do with Vicky or Ian or the Cliveden guest house was the fact that the local wetherspoons was closed due to major refurbishment. Apart from that a very entertaining and enjoyable weekend.

Central location to beach etc Small and friendly everything you need for a great stay . Lovely friendly people and breakfast was lovely felt very welcome at this Guest house Keep up the good work!! Will definitely stay again but for longer

Nothing to dislike

We loved everything about our stay at Cliveden, particularly that we could ‘come & go as we pleased’ which is important to us. The location was superb & having an allocated parking spot for the duration of our stay was fab.

Exceptional location 3 mins / 5 mins from beach , pier , amusements and restaurants , shops lots of good places to visit its a great base for all ages 😀 👍🏻
