We loved the staff, breakfast, access to town, parking, and price. Beds are comfy and accomodated our family of 4 in the family room. For a basement, basic family room, we are grateful. The closet and drawers under the bed are much appreciated. Fortunately, we are an active family and don't spend time in hotels so it served the purpose of giving us a clean, safe place to sleep, shower and eat breakfast. Value for money is good.

We missed air conditioning or ceiling fans. However, the staff helped us find a great solution there so again, top notch staff. The family room was quite small. If you don't have a tight family or want more room to spread out and have two young adult/older teens I recommend getting 2 bedrooms at this hotel. The sheet on one of the beds was very thin with a small worn hole, clearly ready for retirement. Some minor spots on a sheet from past stains that didn't quite wash fully away.

Although I wouldn't say it was cheap, the cost of our quadruple room (three male adults - two singles and a double) was much better than other nearby hotels. We were travelling by bike and the hotel was able to provide us with very good secure storage overnight. We were also able to obtain breakfast earlier than the allocated time, which was of great benefit to us. Breakfast was varied and adequate. Location was only a short walking distance from the town centre. Staff were friendly and spoke good English.

Although the hotel is very well located and only a short walk from the main town centre, people with mobility issues should be aware that the walk back is all uphill.

During our stay in Innsbruck, my parents and I chose Hotel Tautermann, and we were very pleased with our experience. The building, dating back to 1912, retains a charming historical character and is exceptionally well-maintained, with clear attention to upkeep and cleanliness. Its location is one of its biggest advantages: just a 5-minute walk from the city center, making it easy to explore Innsbruck without the need for transportation. Our room was spacious and bright, with a very comfortable bed. The cleanliness was impeccable, which we greatly appreciated. Breakfast was another highlight: a varied buffet with both sweet and savory options. Hotel Tautermann turned out to be an excellent choice for our holiday. It’s a perfect blend of historical charm and modern comfort, with a strategic location that makes it ideal for anyone looking to explore Innsbruck.

Lovely hotel with huge rooms, super comfortable bed and a great welcome! Was made to feel at home right away - and got advice on how to get parked up in the hotel car park as it's tucked away within a quiet neighbourhood. Breakfast was great! Easy walk to nearby pizzeria and a lovely little craft beer bar. We didn't get to to go into Innsbruck proper as on a car rally, but the bits we did see were lovely and I'd very happily stay here again if we return!

Location, history, clean rooms

No lifts (by nature of the historic status)…

Staff in the hotel were very nice and accommodating. I really liked the location. Was just a short walk to the city but still very quiet.

The parking was a little odd but felt that the hotel did the best job they could with what they had. We were there for a ski holiday and wish they were able to provide a little more details and insight into what would be the best resorts for our family.

We were kindly accommodated in a larger room on the ground floor rather than higher up as my wife was having a knee problem that day. Staff were very helpful. Breakfast was good with a good range of the usual continental options). It was really cold in Innsbruck that evening so it was nice to come home to a warm room!

The weather!! :-) Nowhere to relax and have a drink.

The checkin process is easy, there is something about parking, however I did not have a car so was not a problem for us. The rooms are big, for me I have a 3 person bedroom. The bathroom especially the shower is rather small, manageable if you will not spend a lot of time in the hotel room. The breakfast in the morning is nice, there is good variety and enough for all. I like the stay, however the ameneties especially with the lift and the ventilation at checkin could be made much better. I would advice the hotel lesser to families with kids. .

What I did not like is the hills that lead to the hotel. They are rather steep and if you have a bag or a pram then better plan to take a bus instead. Again, it is not that great for the bus stop either l, so the last leg will be walking up the hill. As a result, the walking down is fun even with the heavy bags :-). The other things is there are no elevators in the hotel, so watch out to lift the bags to the rooms yourself. The hotel has a very narrow entrance, the ventilating at the entrance is not that great so if you have to checkin and there is a queue (given summer time), you will feel the lack of ventilation. The price is kind of on the higher side, however that is a trend everywhere in Insbruck

Good location but you have to walk up, good breakfast, very friendly staff, you must leave at reception your car keys in case someone parked behind you needs to get out. The room for 4 people has 4 beds!

The hair dryer is probably more than 50 years old (impractical, it releases very little air and almost no heat), small bathroom. There is no air conditioning. Very few parking spaces. Few tables in the breakfast room.

The staff members were very kind and helpful. They went over and above to help us with navigating the city and arranging cabs to the airport.

The hill to get there was a bit of a workout. Also, not having an elevator made getting our luggage upstairs a challenge.
