We had booked a fishing charter in the harbor, which was literally a one-minute drive from the Marina Motel. We were so happy that they had a vacancy for the night we needed and that they could accomodate our late check-in (midnight). The staff was very friendly and eager to make our stay pleasant. A real plus was their coffee maker in the lobby with half-and-half which was so appreciated for the extremely early wake-up for the fishing charter. The beds were comfortable with soft pillows and the room was clean and everything in good repair. The price fit our budget and we will definitely recommend the Marina Motel to others.

Super close to the train station and easy to get to. Walking safely with the underpass is so convenient and great. The room is spacious and clean. Beds are comfortable. The staff, hospitality and AMAZING service. Their kindness and going the extra mile is appreciated immensely. I'll definitely come again when back in Seward. I'll also recommend to others.

Great location, 5 minute walk to boat harbor and stores, restaurants,etc. The staff, Diana was nice and helpful. Rooms were basic but clean Had microwave and small refgr.Seemed my room was renovated. More than enough towels provided. Coffee and teas available in the lobby. It was relatively quiet even though located in the main road. We enjoyed our stay.

The location was great for my job. There was no hotel that was closer than this one to my jobsite. I could walk to the grocery store. I could have walked downtown due to it was only a mile. The room was quiet. Normally even in the Hilton properties I stay in I can hear the person next door but not at the Marina. The room had the medium sized refrigerator with a separate freezer compartment. That along with a microwave was nice to have on a two week job. Matthew at the front desk was polite and professional. The housekeepers did an excellent job cleaning the room. All in all this will be the hotel I stay at next time I have a task in Seward.

When you stay in Alaska it is very rare, outside of Anchorage, to have air conditioning. It gets warm in the room in the summer. I had a small fan and that keep the room cool. It gets warm in the room in the summer. That is the norm in Alaska. One of the subtle nuances of traveling to Alaska.

This is the perfect property for pets! We reserved this property specifically to accommodate our canine companions, and the Marina Motel did not disappoint. Not only did the all-ground-floor rooms with exterior entrances make them perfect for pet potty breaks, but the staff made sure we all stopped by the front desk with our pooches for them to receive a special welcome treat. There's even a path that leads to a boardwalk around a pond within yards of the property that's perfect for a quick evening stroll with your pet. The floors are all linoleum, which isn't super comfortable for most hotel rooms, but it made mopping up spilled water bowls and muddy paw prints a snap. The location is also perfect for tourist activities as it's literally across the road from the marina (hence the hotel's name).

This motel isn't the nicest place I've ever stayed, of course, but for the rate, the location, and the pet-friendly atmosphere it turned out to be the perfect spot. My biggest wish is that there was an actual cross walk to get across the road as it's a busy highway, especially in the summer.

Very close to the train station - easy to walk with luggage. Price was great. 24-hr access to Keurig and hot water pot. And mini fridge and microwave in the room.

No AC in rooms - they did give us a fan that we put by window. No breakfast options.

For a budget motel, this place was honestly clean and welcoming. I'm not sure what other reviewers have to complain about when this place stands out among other budget options. It is clearly cared for and everything was clean and comfortable.

It was the best price we found and it was in a perfect location. There was a fridge and microwave in the room. There was also a little fan in the room that was perfect. It wasn't the nicest place I've ever stayed in, but It worked for what it was and we had no real complaints.

The toilet leaked a little.

This motel doesn't offer much in the way of extras, but it does offer clean rooms, reasonable location near the boat harbour and good value for your money -- in relation to other hotels in Seward. Staff is very friendly and accommodating.

Nothing really -- just go in with the expectation that this is a basic bare bones motel and not a fancy hotel and you won't be disappointed.

First- let me say- that I’m quite picky when it comes to lodging. I grew up in the hospitality industry and have cleaned many cabins & condos. So, from the pictures & reviews- varied- I was somewhat hesitant about how I would find my room at Marina Motel. But to my pleasant surprise- it was beautifully clean!! Yes, it’s an older, basic motel- but they have done a good job of updating it with modern amenities. There is a fridge/freezer and microwave that actually work very well and are sparkling clean. And the bathroom was very clean- no mildew in the corners of the showers and the linoleum floor didn’t have a bunch of debris on it!! Way to go, housekeepers!! And plenty of hot water with a shower that has excellent water pressure- a huge benefit after a cool day on the water. I would definitely recommend staying here. Especially with the price during high season.
